Delicious per usual! Saigon Alley is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants throughout the city. I can visit Lst the midtown location, Laguna Blvd Elk Grove location, or the Truxel Natomas locations; and be good at all three. The service today was good. But, the food was delicious! Hats off to the chef that worked in Midtown, L street today around 5pm. 02/05/2025! The Saigon chicken wings were fried to perfection! It was my first time trying the Taro Fries and they were delicious! I loved the extra $1 dipping sauce it was worth every bite! Cool, chill vibe. Really great music and a midweek happy hour environment!

Came here on a Friday night with a friend, it was quite full but they sat us at a really small table towards the front. Pretty cramped for us, so get a spot in the back if you want more than drinks!I got the long thaitea, which is a spiked thai tea essentially. It was so good! Highly recommend it, and it is a bit strong, so stir well! The items well all pretty good, and they aren't skimping on the portions! I liked the garlic noodles the most, then the salmon, then the dumplings. The salmon was good, it had like a fish sauce on it, the garlic noodle were bouncy and yummy, and dumplings were dumplings, felt like any other, and honestly we'd didn't want to spend a ton.Overall, really enjoyed it, loved the vibe, I'd come back just for drinks, but the food was good too!

Dropping off star for this place for not having a gluten-free menu anymore when they DID have one! Not that difficult when they had one before. Guess I won't be dining here any more. Hubby didn't like it cuz it's too bar noisy and service was slow.

Ever since the first time I tried them, Fulton Pho has stood as my favorite pho joint in Sacramento (so far). However, as much as I love them, I'd be lying if I said they were always convenient for me to get to, especially if I have to go past Midtown (they aren't far, but the traffic!). So, to say I was pretty stoked to check out Saigon Alley would be an understatement. Primarily because of all of the good things I had heard about them, whether it be from my gf, friends, or my fellow Yelpers, but also because they're practically in the heart of Midtown! I certainly don't have a problem with driving to places, but I'm not going to lie - not having to drive out to Arden-Arcade or head all of the way down Stockton to get good pho is just too appealing!Inside, the layout is a bit unexpected (lounge-ish sitting area in front, bar and counter seating to the right, dining room upstairs), but I really like the vibe - modern and trendy, but not obnoxiously so. Of course, the most impressive thing about this place is the food - not only do they look great in the photos on Yelp, but they sound terrific on the menu. Since the weather was cold and rainy each time we were here, we knew before we walked in that we wanted pho. However, part of me regrets that, as there's so much more to choose from - rolls, skewers/meats, seafood, raw dishes, fried dishes, non-pho noodle soups, stir-fried noodle dishes, and so much more. Plus, if you're looking for vegetarian options, they've got more than just a handful of token offerings!-- PHO QUEUE UP - Sake, Hennessy, Lime, House Honeydew Syrup Shooter...$12Not going to lie - I ordered this more for the name than what the drink actually is. That said, it tasted pretty good. Hennessy isn't usually my drink of choice, but I liked how it blended with the sake and the way the honeydew syrup and lime juice accentuated the flavors.-- PHO BO NUONG - 72 Hour Simmered Beef Broth Served with Side of Beef Short Ribs...$21All of their pho options sounded great, but this one immediately stood out. The ribs were meaty, tender, and the sauce/marinade on this was quite tasty. I also liked getting to try the broth on its own, aside from the noodles (fair amount, good bite), which was super flavorful and not overly salty or fatty.-- SAIGON PHO - Brisket, Flank, Beef Balls, and Ribeye in Beef Broth...$18The closest thing they have to a "standard" pho and it was great! Not only was the ratio of meat to noodles spot on, but the entire bunch were delicious! Even though the beef balls tasted like any other, the ribeye and the brisket, in particular, were terrific.-- CRISPY PRAWNS - Panko Battered Prawns with Sweet Chili Sauce (6)...$11This may not be very unique, but it was still pretty good. It was a little heavy on batter, but at least it was crispy and not super oily. As for the shrimp itself, I liked how they had a bit of sweetness to them, but I do wish they had been a bit more plump.-- HANOI PHO - Ribeye, Garlic, and Thai Chili in Beef Broth...$18Somewhat similar to the Saigon Pho, but a bit more basic and spicier, given the Thai chilis. However, between the two, I didn't like this one as much. That's not to say it tasted bad or that it was too spicy, though (it's not intensely hot) - I just wish it had more meats! As far as service goes, it's right up there with the food. Each time we've been here, the hosts have always been very friendly and our servers have been really nice and attentive. Also, while you could argue it's done more as a gimmick, I love how they pour out the broth onto the bowl of pho tableside. Obviously, it's an extremely aesthetically pleasing presentation, but it actually has real benefits as well. Most significantly, it minimizes how long the noodles and meat sit in the broth, which keeps both from getting overcooked.Even though Fulton Pho is still my favorite spot for pho in/around Sacramento, Saigon Alley isn't that far behind, especially considering how they're not located nearly as far away. Plus, it's hard not to love how the menu is filled with so many eye-catching dishes, even if I haven't tried them...YET. Because, if nothing else, I will absolutely be back to try more!FOUR AND A HALF STARS rounded down for now...but there's a good chance this gets rounded up one day!

Saigon Alley is a Midtown staple for Vietnamese food! My partner and I came on a weekday evening, and we were offered open seating at the bar or wait for a table upstairs. We choose the bar since upstairs can get crowded and noisy, making it difficult to have a conversation. I wouldn't recommend Saigon Alley if you're looking for an intimate date spot. Service was slow at first; however, once we got our order in, staff were much more attentive. My partner and I both ordered the Wagyu Pho and shared an order of Taro Fries. The Wagyu Pho had a stellar presentation; however, I wish there was more broth and less noodles. The Taro Fries were spot on, and I loved the starchy texture and flavor. We both raved about the aioli that it came with too! Saigon Alley has a lot to offer and I'd highly recommend checking them out for their happy hour specials.

Generous portions with beautiful plating! I liked the concept of Spanish "tapas" fusion with Vietnamese food. We ordered a few dishes to share family style and the standouts were the papaya salad and garlic noodles! I really enjoyed my cactus lemonade which had the crunchy pellet ice and was light and refreshing. Great spot for date night.Papaya salad- large portion, great flavor and nicely crunchyGarlic noodles- lots of garlic, soft noodles Beef rolls- kind of salty and soggy Soft shell crab- nicely fried with not too much batter. Could have more flavor

Food: 9/10Service: 10/10I honestly don't know how much more I can compliment this place. Our service from our wonderful server whose second day she was working was more than hospitable and she was so so patient with us. I believe her name was Stacy. Thanks again Stacy, you're awesome. The owner of the restaurant, Billy, was also so great to have. He was telling us the best dishes on the menu, his personal favs, and was making us feel very welcome. It was my first time here, and honestly it was more than just a dining experience. If you are ever in the area, you can't miss this place. High quality vietnamese fusion food that you can't get anywhere else! My personal favorite was the banh mi tacos. Like I could probably eat 2-3 orders of those alone. A must-order. My friends loved the pho and the carpaccio dishes which I also loved!!!Ambiance of the place was also inviting and clean. Would love to come back next time I'm in town. We all had a more than perfect experience!

Favorite restaurant in Sacramento! Have been going there since they opened. The service is friendly and quick, their drinks so tasty (I recommend the Long Thailand), and their garlic noodles to die for. At this point I've tried pretty much their whole menu and every person I've brought here always asks to go back. It's a nice casual yet hip place in the center of Midtown that I'd recommend to anyone!

Food: Look, there are some excellent pho options here in Sac and this may not be to the ultimate liking of pho snob, but this place is good and worth repeating. Out of respect of the great pho options here, I will not give it the 5, but a lot of Vietnamese people I've spoken to about it, like it. Anyway, the Saigon pho is probs your usual pho combo and it is solid. The Hanoi Pho with the ribeye is def the move here and my recommendation especially from a broth perspective. If you want something more, they got a wagyu option, but I like the broth in the Hanoi more so. I do think they give you a lot of noodles here, but they could be more generous with the meat.Service: Very attentive. You can tell they care about it, which is always appreciative. There is a very good tempo or pace to the meal. When you get the pho here, they actually poor the piping hot broth at the which is a nice "traditional" touch.Ambiance: A vibe. Great date spot even though you are slurping noodles in front of someone. Full service bar with some house cocktails. Plenty of spots for solo diners on the first level, which I appreciate. The music always seems to be on point.
