SAFE Credit Union Convention Center

I find myself in convention centers frequently because of how many conferences I attend each year. I thought Sacramento's Convention Center was gorgeous. It felt very new, clean and well kept. The conference spaces were lovely and spacious! The convention center is conveniently located downtown and within walking distance of a bunch of different restaurants and hotels.

The many of times I have attended events here, never an issue to date. The size of the faculty is not as big as many other venues but it's very functional. There are several meeting and conference style rooms, multiple restrooms, a huge ballroom, Nice location and amenities for any special event

I went here during the first world's worst expo inside and it was a good event. Nothing bad to say but maybe more security since it was packed with a lot of people.

First time here was back in November for a large Jiu Jitsu tournament, that my son and teammates were involved in. The main area was large and spacious and accommodated 16 mats for rotating competitions, two main areas for seating, and the podium both in the back for athletes who won. So it's a great area for future tournaments and or various conferences and conventions.The main lobby has a Starbucks if you're in need of a coffee and or small snacks, but it also right across the street from the theater and several restaurants. If you're looking for something better to dine on.

I was here for the first time for a company meeting.I was very impressed with the staff - very friendly and efficient. The food for breakfast and our lunch to go were both delicious. The offerings of snacks during break were wonderful. The staff also kept the restrooms clean.This was a great venue for our event.Plenty of room to move around between booths and meeting/table area.

I've visited the Convention Center for a few different events and they do a great job utilizing the space for events and exhibits.For people not familiar with the space, figuring out where to enter can be a bit confusing and some events have a better set up, queue and signage than others, but that's more on the event than the convention center.We typically use rideshare when we come out to events at the Convention Center and it's pretty easy to get dropped off and picked up here. If you prefer to drive, there are street parking and garage options and you can check out SacPark.org for more information.At some events I have felt a bit claustrophobic at times, and it would be nice for the venue to highly recommend plenty of space for events and anticipate where events may see buildups of people to create solutions before it happens. In a post-pandemic world I don't love being shoulder to shoulder with others longer than I need to be.

I visited the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center on Monday, 02/05 & Tuesday, 02/06/24 for a conference. The inside of the building was gigantic, modern and beautiful. I loved how throughout the entire two days, the hospitality staff served meals (breakfast + lunch), snacks, and drinks. All of the food was deliciously tasty. There were a lot of meeting rooms to attend workshops. The signs placed in the hall were helpful in the sense of direction. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. The outdoor seating was lovely, as it provided a scenic view of downtown Sacramento. Overall, I was pleased with the entire experience. I am looking forward to returning here for more conferences.

The Beyond Van Gogh exhibit experience was amazing. I took my stepmom today, what a fabulous display. This hour to hour an a half experience was beautifully choreographed to beautifully selected music, There was historical information upon entry regarding Van Gogh and his brother, beautiful artwork in the form of still and movie videos.Mesmerizing, beautiful, not too crowded, plenty of room to take photos and videos.

I usually come by maybe 2-3x a year and it's a pretty solid venue as far as size, bathrooms, and food amenities go. My last experience had staff (likely not employed by the location but by the event) who were extremely rude and controlling. When it came to waiting in line with friend, they wouldn't let us leave to use the bathroom and would give it away. It seemed like a control thing they wanted to have over people, which was pretty awful. Staff/security let people in side doors which defeated the line purpose so it ruined the time of entry and waiting for the rest of the group.Again, I can't speak if it's the event or the venue's doing.This place makes good use of its space and it's easy to find things. All the bathrooms are stocked and generally tolerable in terms of cleanliness but given crowd size for this venue, it's fortunate.The food here is stadium food like pizza, fries, hot dogs, and they serve beverages here too. Parking isn't bad either, you can find a good spot without paying a lot either. There's also a Starbucks nearby and a 7eleven across the street.

Had an event I attended here. I called a few weeks in advance. They said it started at 7 am so I got there around that time, when i arrived they said the event doesn't start until 11 am. I'm not from Sacramento so I had to wait outside in the rain from 7 am - 11 am for them to open. There's obviously a lack of communication between the workers,managers, and event coordinators.Such a shame. Hopefully the workers and managers can wait in the rain for four hours so you can understand. So disorganized
