SacVille Hot Chicken

For starters, I was a bit confused that it was in a bar because I wanted food and I don't drink but the aesthetic in there was dope! The service was wonderful shoutout to the bartender! The food was absolutely delicious and not just because I was hungry but the flavors were immaculate. I would definitely return.

Ordered from GrubHub and the food showed up surprisingly fresh (not because SacVille would've not been fresh but because grubhub... well you know!!!) and the initial bite before bringing the food back to life in the air fryer was delicious and still a little crispy! If it's that good after a grub hub delivery it's GOT TO BE GOOD fresh out the kitchen. Only reason I don't give five stars Is because the seasoning on the chicken could have a little more salt in it to really make the flavors pop and they should have an option to put some of this hot seasoning on the fries cause that would be FIRE!! Even the extra tender I got on the side that I forgot to ask them to put seasoning on was delicious plain!Overall, this is a solid 4.5 when it comes to hot chicken... and I've had a lot of hot chicken around Sacramento. I will be getting this again on a future cheat day! P.S. anyone complaining about the price of the food is a cheap ass. Sorry but this is basically 4 whole chicken breasts and a lb of fries for 20 bucks. It's Enough for 3-4 people. (Or one giant Mexican.. yes me).

We ordered pickup from here - it's in the back of the bar. The chicken sandwich was so so. Pretty small piece of meat. But the chicken and waffles was pretty . I would definitely come back for that but would go somewhere else if it's a solid chicken sandwich you're looking for.

Really no complaints. You ever been to Hattie B? You know how that chicken is dry and the sandwich has nothing in it? This isn't that. The chicken is juicy, and the coleslaw is fresh (not doused in sauce either). Their giant kitchen sink of fries, nacho cheese sauce, mac, and coleslaw is also pretty amazing. For the price point, you're getting really large portions. Breath of fresh air from SF. If you get lost, just note it's inside of the kitchen inside of the Trading Post.

Saw this place on DoorDash and was very curious about the Sacville hot taco and Sacville hot fries so I ordered those.Hot taco: first thing I noticed is how laughably stale the tortilla is (could barely fold it). Okay, looking past that, I'm kinda surprised on how well a hot fried-chicken taco works; the spiciness of the chicken complements well with the accompanying pico de gallo.....though the pickles were a little weird with it. I got Home Run spice level (the highest spice level) and I'd say it's like 60% of the spiciness of the instant Korean fire noodles, as a comparison. The fried chicken crust could've been crunchier but I'm just happy that the chicken was seasoned well.Hot fries: as confusing as it looks. I thought I would be pleasantly surprised like I was towards the fried-chicken taco. Every component was super bland.....the mac & cheese, the coleslaw, the fries. The chicken had a freezer-burn taste. The whole thing wasn't appetizing at all.....I tossed it after eating less than half of it.Eh, overall I like the idea of a fried-chicken taco, but based on what I got of it (hard, chewy tortilla) this place doesn't really care about the execution. Hard pass on the hot fries.

Absolutely delicious, didn't realize it would be inside Goldfields, however they have a bar area and good sized dining area. The food was fast, hot and super good.

The seasoning on the strips was spot on delicious. Now if they would just add this seasoning to the wings....the wings would be their top seller. Or make a ranch sauce using that seasoning. Fried pickles were average but good. The breakfast burrito was a 9/10!

I hadn't even heard of SacVille until seeing them come up in a search on Doordash. Sadly I think their opening must have been overshadowed by the grand openings of two other well known hot chicken places in Sacramento. I'm so glad to have tried this one, via Doordash delivery! We tried the hot chicken sandwich and mild chicken fries. The menu seems limited but I'm not sure if that's just on Doordash. The chicken on the sandwich is a huge portion! And the loaded fries are an even bigger portion! It was so big, I split it into three meals. The chicken was great, and the coleslaw cuts the heat, but that macaroni and cheese is something else!! They should add more of that in the fries plate. They should also have a hot chicken sandwich option with macaroni and cheese on top...I'd order it everytime! Another nice surprise was receiving a thank you text through Doordash from who I'm guessing is the owner (Zac). They also added notes about their COVID precautions. I thought that was such a simple touch but goes a long way! Great customer service! I'm so glad they're available on Doordash for Elk Grove so we can eat their food more often, but I can't wait to visit the shop in person too!

Was riding my bike around town and saw them parked outside Niello BMW in the Elk Grove Auto Mall. Turns out there was a cars and coffee event taking place there so I turned into the lot to check everything out. I didn't want to eat a large meal so I just ordered one of their hot chicken tacos. It was made fresh and came with a good amount of chicken to my surprise. It was $6 which was reasonably priced compared to most other Nashville hot chicken places that are popping up everywhere. I noticed on their menu they had a 3 tender combo with fries and a soda for $14 which is actually better than most brick and mortar restaurants offering hot chicken. Got their hottest spice level which was flavorful and spicy but it wasn't overbearing. I'll definitely try them out again if I ever see them in town or on my way to wherever I'm going.

Sandwich was good, unfortunately will not ever be returning again and will be advising anyone I know to also not go there. I'm not sure if SacVille is owned by Goldfield, or what the correlation is, but if they're two separate entities I would highly suggest SacVille finding a new kitchen to use. Walked into Goldfield there was only about six people in the entire bar. Two bartenders there, both talking and intentionally ignoring me. Walked straight up to the bar because like I said theres hardly anyone there, and waited as the bartender went up to the person next to me, the people who came in after me, and the person on the other side of me, all while never even acknowledging me and intentionally avoiding eye contact. Waited for five minutes in a practically empty bar before she says to me, "do you need something?"I tell her that I ordered food online and I wanted to make sure I was in the right place (SacVille is located inside of Goldfield, but there's no signage or anything). She literally says with an eye roll and I quote, "What are you, grub hub or something? Go ask the kitchen back there through the black doors." Wow. Not sure what I did to piss off the blonde bartender but she sure was not happy I was there. I almost never like to pull the race card but since I was literally the only person of color in the building and everyone that worked there was shooting daggers at me, I'm guessing that's what it was? She seemed very happy to see anybody else in there except for me. So I literally walk to the back of the bar into the kitchen (is this some kinda OSHA/health violation?) and finally, the one friendly person in this entire establishment-the cook- gives me my order and sends me on my way. The bartender had such a fowl look on her face i was scared it might get stuck like that! Dirty looks received on the way out, thanks!If I could review the cook and the food alone I would give it five stars. Based off of the treatment I received in Goldfield I will never be back and I will be telling anyone I can to also not go here. Total sundown town vibes, no food is worth that!
