Flashback Friday Review to 2013..... When I lived in the Sacramento Area, I thought that I could brush up on some job skills and learn some new ones. Sacramento Works had workshops everyday where you were able to learn common skills applied to the work field and then some. You also learned a lot about other subjects as well.Upon completion of the classes offered they gave you a stamp card that each facilitator needed to mark upon completion of that class. Fill up your whole card and you received a certificate.I completed all their programs possible there and got two certificates. Their program "Works" but only if you're willing to put in the time and effort to work into it. I got up many times early in the morning so I could catch the bus from the Louis and Orlando Transit Center so the programs taught, treat them like an actual job and show up to them on time. Of course today, I'm not sure if they are still offering these programs during the ongoing pandemic but they were certainly helpful back then in day and I'm sure they can be helpful today.

I came here today because I needed a typing certificate for a position I'm applying for. I had no idea the types of services this place offered. I was expecting them to not be helpful and to be the complete opposite of how they were. Not only were they helpful but they all seemed to enjoy their time there. I'm so glad I found this place. I'm going to be graduating college soon and I've already started looking at one of the resources they offered me. Thank you!

The staff can at times be very rude and unhelpful. I take my clients here for services and one time they refused to give us any details in regards to their program services and told us to return during orientation.

Nice people and a great resource for anyone looking for a job.. adults and youth alike.

So coming in for the past month I've been able to refine my resume and reach a helpful organization to reach a stepping stone to my success. I do believe it can run more fluidly and if anyone needs some great motivating people there are a few. Take the initiative when you come in because there here for you.

The staff here is great! Very helpful. I've worked with Kanisha, Wendy and Mindy so far. They're motivating and willing to help. I was hesitant about the program here but it was a good experience and I learned a lot. I feel more prepared for interviews and I'm confident. If anyone is looking for job resources, you should check out this center.
