The library is located on the same site as a high school. There is a community center/room inside. There are always plenty of event happening. There is a study area and plenty of other areas to sit and read at. There are also computers available. This library is a good sized library with plenty of space for everyone - including the students. Bathrooms are also kept very clean despite how many people visit each day.

I haven't been in a library for more than a decade. When I was living in Elk Grove I would go to the library connected to Franklin High and Toby Johnson. This library is also connected to a school but it seems to be much cleaner and more organized than the one I went to. Also much more quieter so if I wanted to study I can do it comfortably. At Franklin, the library had noisy school kids most of the time and I couldn't do any studying while there. I came by to drop off my ballot but I got to check out the inside of this library. If I ever renew my library card this will be the library I will go to.

Small, but nicely kept and good location and parking available (except for during school hours and right before/after school, since it is right next door to a high school and shares the same parking lot)The reason why I -1 star (and I am gonna sound like an old lady) is because it seems to get rather raucous especially right after school hours because a lot of the teens go and hang out there. I mean I guess better to be in there supervised than to be out getting in trouble- but just doesn't feel like such a library at that point.Also- I had a tough time figuring out how the books are organized. Maybe most of the books I like are just catered more towards teens...but at other libraries I have been to there has been a whole section dedicated to thriller/horror books... I couldn't find this here. The staff are super friendly and helpful when not busy. They led us through getting our library card and we also found out they rent out video games, blu rays, dvds, music cd's, musical instruments, board games, etc.The library system is such a treasure and this is a nice one to have a hop-skip away from where we live. I also have started to use the online system to reserve books for pick-up (especially those that are super popular and usually have a waiting list). It has been really nice. The "Lucky Day" selection right when you come in is always worth a browse too...

This is a nice branch of the Sacramento public library. Besides being laid out with a pleasing floor plan and parking area, it has features that attract those who travel by bicycle in addition, such as a more-than adequate sturdy bike racks to secure you bike to, and a repair rack station off to the side with several tools attached for adjusting/fixing your bike. It even has an air pump included so you can inflate your tires.(How great is that!)Inside, the library is particularly arranged to make it appealing to browse the various sections of the collection, whether it be books, DVD movies, periodicals, etc.

The Robbie Waters Library in the Pocket/Greenhaven area is absolutely wonderful. They have a great children's section with a fantastic selection of books. It is a very clean environment and the atmosphere is very warm and inviting. It has definitely sparked my interest in picking up reading again or even if I need a quiet place to focus and work. The staff is very nice and helpful! Additionally, they have great activities for both adults, kids and children. This place is so peaceful and located in a really great area. Looking forward to my next visit!!

Love Love this library! I was looking for something to get my granddaughter into and decided to goggle them and check out their schedule to see what they offer for children. And low and behold, just what this kid needs. They offer playtime and storytime for ages 0-3 years old. I think this is going to be perfect for her and me. LolI also am going to love this library for myself as well, because I love to read too. This place is clean, very well organized and extremely quite. The young lady at the front desk was nice and helpful. This library is located in a wonderful neighborhood and not far from me. Which I like! When I goggled this library it stated that they did passports here, so that excited me too. Unfortunately they don't do it here anymore. The young lady at the desk says they are done at the central (downtown) location. Which I personally think is pretty cool. I don't think the lines would be as long at the library, because I wonder how many people actually know you can get a passport at the library. I am happy that we came out today, the classes that they have for the children are amusing to say the least. There were a lot of parents out with their children and the children, oh boy they loved this so much. They were all into the songs. The teacher/instructor, she was great at this job and the songs were so cute. It was an amazing day. I really enjoyed it and so did my granddaughter.

I am a library nerd so it is not strange for me to visit different libraries here and there, sometimes in the same day. This is a small neighborhood, well organized library. At the entrance is an area where they sell donated books, DVDs and CDs for a cheap price. This area is usually attended to by a helpful volunteer. Spent more time there than in the library.

What book worm doesn't love a library, except maybe a library that seems to always be filled with loud crying children... I always understood the library to be a place of peaceful quietness. A place to enjoy browsing aisle upon aisle of books, to read in tranquil solitude, or to compose reports and such with minimal distraction. For about 50 percent of the time, this is NOT that place. Otherwise it is an awesome place.

Clean, friendly & helpful customer service, well decorated & designed, and family friendly. Perfect for kids! "Mister Cooper" sings and plays guitar from 11:00-11:30am every last Tuesday of the month. My son loved it!There is story time for children every Tuesday (Babies), and Thursdays (Toddlers).Every second Saturday from 1:00-3:30pm, they have a Lego Block Party for children to come play! They have special areas in the library for children of all reading levels to enjoy! The children's area has beautifully decorated murals on the walls, comfy seating, and of course a large variety of books to enjoy! Also they have computers, private rooms, teen rooms, and free computer assistance by walk in or by appointment. They also have a monthly calender of events to check out!Overall it's a nice community library with a lot of family friendly events!

There are many reasons why I enjoy visiting the public library...and the kitschy March book display at the Robbie Waters branch of the sacramento public library is one of them. What a fantastic idea the librarian had in setting up a display of green covered books for the month of March. It most definitely caught my eye and my March "green covered" read is Big Stone Gap by Adriana Trigiani.
