We LOVE this library! My kids and I attend story time on Thursdays here with Mr. Chris! He is the best storyteller and an amazing human being. The kids absolutely love when he reads & the songs they all sing together. My kids always look forward to Thursdays, library time is their favorite day of the week! The staff here is also as amazing! They're always so willing to help. Galt definitely has the best library!

Quaint library. Not too much space to sit and study or read a book. It honestly reminded me of the kids section of a larger library- except it was the entire library. The staff is helpful. They're are public restrooms and a water fountain (you can refill your water bottle as well). They have bike parking available too.

I love this little library though as another user pointed out; this town IS growing & the library should too!! When I first moved here I came all the time- it was very helpful & I always found what I needed to read. The staff is always very pleasant & helpful and the last time I went in there they said they were in the process of getting some newer books to replace the old/worn out/obsolete ones. Their shelves were so bare! So that's something to look forward to.

Come on Galt, step it up, how come this is the second review about this institution. Plus, we are talking about Mrs. Lawrence, a pillar of education in the Galt community for many years. I have been in town for a few weeks, while my apartment is being remodeled in Sacramento, and have had the pleasure of using the library a couple of times a week. I just wanted to say thank you to all the staff, and a ton of volunteers I have seen over the weeks. You are making that angel in heaven, proud. :) Sincerely,Marcus Anzelone

This is a great library, however, it is very small. I know that Galt is a small town. I get it. However, it's also a growing town. The fact that they only have one large table in the back and two small kid tables makes it difficult to do tutoring sessions for my students in Galt Joint Elementary Unified School District. Luckily I have been able to schedule around this library's regular tutoring sessions that are located at the one and only table in the back. So far, I have been lucky with this. What is definitely positive about this library is the incredible amount of computers. Since most things are on-line these days, they definitely are up to par in this area. It's a clean facility but like I mentioned, very small. Voices carry and people don't seem to understand the concept of being quiet in a library that once used to be the standard. The library doesn't seem to enforce it either which causes a lot of distractions for my students. Will I be back? Of course...I have to! It's better than a Starbucks and does the trick for tutoring my students from all areas of Galt school district.

This little library is a small town treasure. The librarians are friendly and knowledgeable, able to suggest an age-appropriate book or give guidance on the computers available there for public use. There's a nice selection of books and magazines and the option to request a particular book from anywhere in the Sacramento library system. We have attended several of the free classes there, including a knitting lesson, cupcake decorating, and a holiday musician. I just wish they weren't forced to have furlough days because of the system's tight budget.
