It was finally time to apply for my first passport! Really wanted this process to go as pain-free as possible since there's a lot of documentation and getting all the correct forms. It started with a google search of what passport facilities are located around Sacramento. I decided to come here to the Sac. Law Library.First step in the process was to visit: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/forms.html and use the "Form Filler" to preset your application and streamline the appointment. Passport fees are also listed on this website as a reference.Next up, collect your identification documents such as (birth certificate, social security number, military ID, or whatever you need to provide)Then call 916-874-5625 for the Public Law Library to schedule an appt for this passport session. Visit this website for hours and all details: https://saclaw.org/services/passport-services/Finally, I did not gather the name of the nice lady that helped with my forms and processing, but this was the most efficient pleasant experience I could ask for. If you need a passport, go here! All together it took about 3 weeks total between the visit in person for processing, to receiving my passport (standard mail) in the box.

I say if its your 1st time getting a passport dont come. I felt like they kinda scam you into taken your pictures even though I bought my own. They are not very helpful. Not only that anyone barely answers the phone . When i ask her if she could take a look of my application just a quick gaze..because this is my 1st time and I was kinda nervous. She was like well isn't that your job. Id say just go to the post office I kinda regret going here. I'd use this a last resort passport options. When I over paid the dept of state she seem slightly irrated that the dept of state..got a extra 35 out of me which I didn't care...but boy did she..well if u answer your phones lol they could've answered my questions money part. But for my 1st passport experience this was a shitty one. Lol dont gooo here if your a newbie. They just want your $$

This spot is ok. Unfortunately you'll encounter no free parking around here, it's a controlled parking lot or paid meter parking on the street. The lady who helped us on the 1st floor was helpful and was even able to provide us copies. However, she couldn't help much beyond basic answers to our questions, even going so far as to say she couldn't actually provide legal advice...but this is the law library and the sac county recorder office had somebody tell us you guys literally provided certain legal advice on certain documents! So yes, that was frustrating.

The Sacramento County Law Library is a resourceful place where the staff is helpful. The lack WiFi, limted hours , and lack of in person seminar courses due to COVID-19 restrictions is the why the 4 stars. Overall the staff is helpful , the facilities are clean, and the are quiet. Thank you for continuing to be open during COVID-19. Finding a quiet place to study has been a challenge. I am grateful to the County of Sacramento for this resource which is open to the public.

Welcome to your quintessential Law Library. Wait, not so fast this place is actually a hidden gem. It is quiet, clean, no homeless (bless their heart, but a distraction when studying) and best of all it is free. I access the cases on West-law that require special access. It allows me to email the cases for no charge. Reading the hard copy American Jurisprudence is so much better. This library has an environment that helps to create an intense, distraction free focus on research. The staff is friendly and helpful. The average person would think it is a silly idea to spend time in the Law Library, but this place is mountain of gold. I have to laugh that all the knowledge provided there is completely free. Thank you Mr. Carnegie, who donations founded most library's on American soil.

I always love the fact that they have this program every Monday to talk to a lawyer for legal advice for 20 minutes even though it's a lottery things but I seemed too fortunate my number got pick up for 2nd time in row during the visit I made in the pass and couple days ago. This library is public if you guys want to know about laws this is the place to be.

I recently took a class at the Sacramento Law Library, and the location was close to the freeway, Near Old Town abundant amount of private parking and the library has a relationship with one lot where your ticket can be validated. The staff and instructors were top notch, the facilities ultra modern and also previewed private meeting rooms that are available in case one needs a meeting room with clients etc..The Sacramento Law Library is th 6th largest of CA 58 county law libraries. Established in 1891.Use of the law libray is free to all who enter.

Who doesn't love books?! Especially ones with jargon that grays areas and muddies waters!Prints are $.15Copies are ???Reference material: if a licensed attorney, you can check out with minimal fees if any! All others must pay out the whazoo either by rental fees or copy costsShortening the hours of operation sure will make it difficult for the working public to utilize the facility but that doesn't matter. High hopes: they will be open til 8pm on Mondays only, downside is most "holidays" are observed on Mondays!
