This place was great for the kids ages 5-8years old where they can ride the larger rides. There was live music and shows around the fairground which kept us entertained. It was pretty hot this day we went so make sure to bring in some extra water. The cost was a little pricey for what we received. I recommend going to the Sacramento State fair it is much larger and has many more options for the little ones.

Our first fair as "guests" rather than "paricipants". :) For 12 years before the pandemic, we had our 4H animals at fair and were there for 5 days 24/7. This is our first year to go just on Saturday for fun and the rodeo. First, the things Iiked: Parking is still $10 (though $5 would be better), the new layout in the barn is much better, great selection of food vendors. Lots of neat rides, more so for the small kids. What I did not like: PRICES. My goodness. I paid $140 just for entrance & rodeo for 5 people. Buying tickets ahead of time for a discount is a joke. The fees per ticket basically eat up any discount. Food & drink prices are much higher, and I don't have small kids for the rides. I expect to pay more at a fair, but these prices make t hard for a family to go to for more than one day.The rodeo this year was not great. The animals were, but the pizazz was definitely missing. The beginning ceremonies were lackluster, the time between riders just dragged on. The rodeo clown was creepy, and his sets were just way too long. People started leaving after the bucking horses because they thought the show was over. Not sure if this is a different circuit than previous years, but this show needs work.

Just something to do during the summer. But it's waaay to hot to be lounging around during summer. Food is fun but pricy. Parking is pricy but you can get the discount at Costco. Fairly big county fair. Lots to do. Just be ready to spend a lot of money. I do like the food there as well. Cheesy load potatoes was the best and corn dogs.

I took my mom and my daughter to the Sacramento county fair on memorial weekend. This was the perfect time to go. The weather started off a little chilly but warmed up. I highly recommend buying the wrist bands for the rides before going. My only regret is not getting the wrist bands. If you arrive without it and chose to buy the amusement park card you get charged a fee to purchase and you end up spending more that way. You have to reload the card at a reload station. Get the wrist band. There were some rides that required a parent or guardian to ride. My daughter enjoyed the reptiles that were displayed inside. There was also an area for kids to play indoor with blocks, maze, and a stage for performers. We also tried the curly fries that come in a massive block. Enough to feed 3 people. Great experience.

Sacramento county fair............. Eh?It's almost like, what's the point?! I understand that towns like to have a local fair, of course, but you have a STATE Fair that's like months apart. Really, really close together. Let's start with fees$10 parking. $12 for adultsWe went ON Memorial Day so military wife got in freeAND, they tell my mom there's no senior discount. Really? Really? That right there was reason to not go. This doesn't even have the flair and fun of the state fair. No fancy exhibits. Just....One SMALL vendor shopping place. Nothing of interest. Yes, they had fair food. And rides for the kids. Monorail doesn't even run!Save your money, save your time, and save me an eye roll that I even went for a few hours. Visit the Sacramento STATE Fair, only.

Extremely expensive food available...Not worth it, I saw lots of health violations as well, the county obviousely not paying attention, had an $8.00 corndog, cold inside raw dough. $5.00 for a 12oz water, $19.00 for a terryaki bowl with 4 pieces of quarter sized chicken...Sad to see families in need not being able to enjoy..

Let's just say I'm looking forward to the State Fair... bigger food selections, rides & more spaciousness. Still a fun event with the weather permitting. Prices are high, but what Fair isn't, so don't come thinking it's an inexpensive event. It's all about the memories you make.. .Enjoyed the fair activities inside and the outdoor activities such as the Pig races & dog pool jumping. Entertaining but not really worth the price of admission for a large family. Suggest this as a date night!!

Don't spend the money on the Fast Pass. The ride moderators didn't even let those children/ppl go on first! What a rip off. And the prices were so expensive! One Blooming Onion was $15!!!There were no County exhibits! And the vendors were WAY down. I was very disappointed.

This 2019 County Fair was whack as hell! They really didnt have much this year it seemed half the size of the fair last year. The only koo thing about this years county fair was the Rodeo bull ridding, just like any fair its always expensive, i paid 10 dollars for parking, the wife and i were hungry so we had paid 26 bucks for one bacon wrapped hotdog and a hot link with some chili cheese fries. We were waiting for our fries and were asked if we wanted tots instead because the fryers had broke down and they weren't able to make more chili fries. I passed on the tots and just wanted my money back. Honestly i was just disappointed that the fair was so small this year. The rodeo was pretty koo i had never seen bull ridding in person and it wad pretty awesome, other than the rodeo was the highlight of the whole fair. I dont think i'll come back next year i'll just wait for the state fair instead.

We took kids for a visit since we were visiting family for a graduation during the week and not very much else was opened. Parking was $$$ but let me tel you about the games! $10 each GAME! Horribly overpriced and one game in particular a basketball game. An older man was working who was rude as hell. Told me loud and rude, to "get over here if you want to talk to me," I ignored him and waited to talk to the younger man, also working the game. The older man then proceeded to yell at me, I couldn't hear exactly what he was saying because at this point I got frustrated and angry. Come over here if you want to talk to ME!!! (I didn't, MF!) I was so upset yet my kids still wanted to play the game. We spent $20 on some crap toys and then later found out they (one of the few games we played but I think it was the basketball personally) overcharged us for one play. Which typically isn't much but here, at $10 for a shit toy, is RIDIC!!!!Then I searched high and low for a turkey leg and found one near the entrance. Paid $18 (!!) and it was black and dry as hell. The worst one by far- not edible. I ate what I could stomach, the dry and tough meat completely black on the outside - and tossed the rest and still ended up with Diarrhea. I would stay the Hell away from this place.
