Ruhstaller Beer

Enjoyed an IREM event here--great for mingling! Plenty of wine and beer options. Service was great and place was dim to set a relaxed vibe.

I was looking for a venue where I could host a birthday party. The minute I emailed the business and received a response I knew I needed to have my party here. J.E. and the entire Ruhstaller staff were absolutely amazing. They were all so kind, responsive and accommodating. The day of my party, Ciera helped me out tremendously with the set-up and I'm sure I left more to clean than I should have, but she was so gracious. A sign in the brewery read "hoppy birthday jessica" which was just the sweetest touch. They went above and beyond from the start , they even played an ABBA station for my ABBA themed party. The beer and wine was great. I bought a few bottles and ended the night with an "old school" IPA. The beer is excellent. The party was a success, and I am SO grateful for their business! The K st location is a little hidden gem ! Please check them out. The vibes are immaculate. Everyone who attended my party raved about it. Thank you J.E. and staff!!!

First time at the new location. Enjoyed the experience so much we came back just a few days later. Excellent selection of tasty beers. The ambiance is extremely similar to the last place. Plenty of comfy chairs. A lightly lit space with a very relaxed vibe. The beer tenders were very friendly and so helpful. A great addition to K street / DOCO. Will certainly look to get back here soon. Excellent stop prior to anything at the Golden One.

Excellent vibes for a date! Went here as the start to a double date and we had a blast playing pool. I had the meadowfoot and it was phenomenal. They had a yummy non-alcoholic kombucha option too which is so appreciated so everyone felt included! Great staff, too!

It's giving farmhouse speakeasy and I'm into it. They have a new lavender beer, "Penny" that's delicious

Solid spot to grab some beer and hang out around before you continue to venture elsewhere. Dark industrial aesthetic. Head downstairs to see what is on tap. Decent selection. There can be limited seating, expect to stand (surfaces available to place drinks on). Can get packed but we still managed to have some standing room and rest against the bar. Food is not served here but you can bring your own food. In our group of four, only two of us drink beer so we did not stay too long. But I can also imagine it being a chill place to come alone too.

We had an absolute blast at Ruhstaller Beer! The venue is really unique with outdoor seething upstairs and a very cool space inside. There's lots of great beer to choose from. Swing by soon! -Anthonyxibarrax

I am so sad that it has taken me so long to discover Ruhstaller Beer. This place is 100% my type of beer spot. Dimly lit, located in the basement with exposed brick and comfy seating. I was so thrilled to spend a Sunday afternoon with my boyfriend here playing pool. Not to mention the fact that their beer is delicious.It was a pretty quiet Sunday afternoon, but we enjoyed several rounds of pool (for free!). I thoroughly enjoyed the California Kolsch they had on tap. The prices and the pours were reasonable. Parking can be a hassle because it is located down near the new Golden One arena but we managed to snag a spot over by Cesar Chavez park.The next time I have friends in town visiting, I cannot wait to bring them here.

IT'S BACK YOU GUYS!!!!!I'm so impressed! They nailed the vibe that the old speakeasy Push the Button for Beer location had. Still not the same, not hard to find or subtle, but they still did an excellent job trying to imitate the previous most beloved spot. It's only a block away too, if you get lost. You can now find Ruhstaller Beer on K across from Malt & Mash!!!! Ok ok beers are $2 more meow BUT it's still damn good beer. My bestie and our fellas are here playing cards, eating peanuts from buckets, and chillin' just like old times. The playlist is Lumineers/Mumford & Sons Perfection, if you feel me. We're so happy to be able to come here again!!! The new watermelon ale and the stout I tried were lovely. I like that the beers here are even keel. They're not going to slap you in the face with flavor or strength. They're just here to have a good time. Except for that Kenyan. That little fella tastes like a morning coffee. Yum. I am wired!! I'm digging the little cases of Ruhstaller historic artefacts among the cozy furniture. If possible they've made this an even better space to relax. You can park nearby at metered spaces but personally I would walk, use rideshare, or take the stinkrail to St. Rose of Lima Park. So convenient.

Love your new location! With all honesty I never went to your other location always just had your beer from BevMo. But wow to be at your Taproom on site was amazing! The selection of beers you have is stellar. What's a range from light to medium to dark. And there was a great selection of Porter's which I adore. The Ale Wine brew was just so interesting I didn't know if I liked it or didn't, but I couldn't stop drinking it. There are so many cute kitschy areas to sit in. We had the honor of meeting the person that grows the Hops out in Dixon so we got to get beer education. That's what I adore--- meet the staff, hear about the beers, learn about their journey.... and fall in love with the place. Bravo!
