Rudys Hideaway

Brought my wife to Rudy's for our 3 year wedding anniversary. Booking our reservation was easy peezy. Service was excellent as we were seated promptly, despite the restaurant being packed. I ordered the Clam Chowder, Lobster Ravioli while my gorgeous wife ordered the New York Steak (Medium Well) that came with potato's, asparagus & crab leg. The food was cooked to perfection, and tasted as great as it looked! Our server's in checking in intermittently was perfect, as she was knowledgeable about all food items and liquor. And these reasons are what brings us back for special occasions.....

Cioppino ($45) is amazing. Comes with king crab legs, scallops, shrimp. Also includes either soup or salad and garlic bread. Filet and lobster ($72) is fantastic! A surprisingly large lobster tail.

Anniversary night and we wanted to try something new. We drove by recently and thought this be a nice place. We got the crab cakes (2 come in an order) for appetizers, and shared a bottle of duckhorn Sauvignon. Each meal comes with a soup or salad and we opted for the clam chowder. The clam chowder has good chunks of clam and a nice ratio to the potatoes. I didn't care for the actual base of the soup though; might of been too much butter, compared to other clam chowders I had.For my entree I chose the lobster ravioli and my partner went for the lobster and prime rib. My meal had shrimp mixed in with the 5 lobster ravioli; the ravioli is fresh pasta which tasted good, unfortunately once again though the sauce has so much butter it overpowered the dish and ruined it. I took one bite out of the ravioli, tried one of the shrimps and told my partner; to his disappointment, I was done with my meal. The waiter came and checked with my date that he was happy with his meal but for mine just boxed it up to go at the end.Overall the atmosphere is nice, with comfortable seating and fun art on the wall for purchase. Maybe I just didn't pick the right meal for me and the search continues at this restaurant for a possible second visit.

We love to visit Rudy's Hideaway both for lunch and dinner! A local favorite in the area since ~1994, this place never disappoints! The service is always top notch, the food is incredible, and we love to eat in the Captain's Room which has allot of charm and ambience. I recommend ordering the king crab legs for dinner (see the picture). You will not be disappointed!

We were immediately impressed with the cleanliness of this establishment The service was great. Our waiter cleared dishes promptly and was courteous, The crab cakes (not pictured) were okayyy. They went a little heavy on the red pepper aioli and I'm pretty confident they weren't blue crab as reported. The prime rib and king crab were prepared well. All in all, it was a good dining experience.

Amazing customer service. Love the low key vibe. Ample parking. Restaurant has a very warm and homey feel to it, very clean and welcoming. The decor is authentic. I love the resin covered tables with sand and shells, etc. to give you that beach vibe. Cool family history to the restaurant behind the amazing food. Highly recommend, perfect for date night or just a nice night for the family. The prices are just right for the food.

This place is absolutely delicious! The ambiance is unique in the particular area where we sat it is designed like a boat. Decor was unique! My date said he read on the menu that this place has been around since the 1970's! The service was impeccable! Kathy was our waitress and she was so quick. Constantly refilling our drinks anytime they were half full. She made recommendations but also explained which items were made fresh in house. The calamari was freshly breaded in house so that was the appetizer we choose. It was rubbery. Tasted good but I couldn't get pass the texture. It was a 3/10. I would skip it next time and try something else. The lobster potstickers are also made in house so that is what we will try next time. I had a cup of clam chowder with my meal. It was delicious! Little bacon pieces on top! Very tasty! 9/10 For my main dish I got the hand cut New York steak with mushrooms on top, asparagus and a baked potato. This was the best steak I have had in a long time! Baked potato was soft and creamy! Asparagus was excellent too! 10/10 My date got the prime rib and lobster dinner. He also got a baked potato and asparagus. His prime rib was beautiful and tasted scrumptious! The lobster was delicious dipped in the butter it was served with. 10/10 We both got sourdough bread too. I don't know if it's made in house but boy oh boy it was so soft and warm! I could have ate a whole loaf! 10/10For dessert we shared the chocolate cake topped with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce and pretzels. The sweet and salty combination was delicious! 10/10 Check out my photos of the food! Overall I highly recommend you try this local small business out for yourself! I guarantee you won't be disappointed! We will definitely be going back ourselves!

first time coming here with my korean ma and my bff for her bday. Whatever kma wants she gets it hehe. . we came here for the monday night dinner special going on now in nov 2024. . monday night dinner for 2 special for only for $65. each person gets to choose an entree, comes with a salad or soup as well bread too. . i got the clam chowder - it was creamy and has lots of potatoes in it. . we each chose something different from the menu. . 6 oz lobster tail - the lobster tail was great presentation. it comes with green beans and a bake potatoe. the melted butter and lemon is the most important part to compliment the dish. i did ask about the lobster being fresh of frozen and it was a frozen lobster tail. The server comes and removes the shell for the lobster tail for you. . prime rib - this is a big slab of prime rib which is tender and juicy. also comes with green beans and bake potatoe. this is a great option for meat lovers. . lobster ravioli for appetizer - it was deep fried and i next time i need to order the non fried ones as an entree. The deep fried lobster ravioli wasnt my favorite. . overall i love the vibe here. It's casual here and like a steak house, but with lobster. It's hidden and a fun spot to check out for happy hour which is on my list to do here. I would come back and try the surf and Turf special. I love this place for both sentimental reasons and the actual dining experience. I have been coming here for years and finally got to bring my boyfriend for his birthday. They were doing a prime rib and shrimp special. The waitress was so nice and let us know she has been there for many years (did she say 10 or 20 years??) and we sat in the captain's room. I love the ambiance of this place. Its sea shack meets old-school high end restaurant. My prime rib was perfectly cooked, the shrimp was swimming in piping hot butter (amazing), and the asparagus was just like I like it- not soggy and very flavorful. I don't think we got any bread that should have come but it was too good to even worry about. The bottle of red wine was an excellent pairing with our midday steak. The first pic I have here is me and my best friend (RIP) when I took him on his first time here in 2019. I cherish this picture, thanks for saving it Yelp! I never have been here for happy hour but it is on my to-do list!

Food and service were great. Appreciate the waiter's high level of attention.I recommend reservations as it's a full house.
