When I am in Roseville it is usually only for food, the mall, and Round 1. This place has a variety of arcade games ranging from dance machines, driving games, claw machines, and much more. It also has a bowling area with a spot for food and drinks. I used to come here often, but this year I only went a few times because they have been increasing their prices and I feel like they rigged the games even more. Earlier this year, the claw machines for small plushies were between 8 and 9 credits, but now it's 11 credits. The credit charge price for the highest amount of credit increased by $10 and they give less credits. There are a handful of employees walking around, but I feel like when you need them the most for help it is hard to find them. Some machines would not work after it takes my credit and sometimes I win a prize that requires an employee to take it out, but it would take a long period of time before I can find someone. The inside has a lot going on because of all the noise coming from machines, bright flashing lights, and many people moving around. It is lively and people sound like they are having fun, but it is also very hot in there. It might be all the heat emitting from the machines, which makes it very stuffy and warm. It made me feel uncomfortable and not want to stay for that long. I mainly play simple games to earn tickets, such as piano keys, pop the lock, and ticket claw machines. They have some cute plushies, but I try my best to stay away from their claw machines now because I don't want to waste my credits on it. I think it is better to play games that earn tickets because you get to redeem something from their prize zone. The games that require some movement like axe throwing and basketball are also fun to play.

Even though I may not be a kid anymore (or in my 20's, for that matter...), I can say with absolute certainty that I was no less excited to finally check out Round1. If anything, I was even more excited to check out the different arcade and crane games - now that my wallet is filled with adult money instead of an allowance or birthday money, I could spend to my heart's (read: budget's) content! After all, what's the point of making adult money if you don't get to spend it frivolously on childish things every now and again and again and again and again and again?Since we were here mostly to kill some time and for the benefit of my friends' kids (and, secretly, myself...) to run around and play in the arcade, I can't say much about the bowling lanes nor the food (it's typical amusement park food with some Japanese snack options). However, what I can say is that their arcade is impressively large and pretty well varied. Amongst their mix of both newer and older fighting, shooting, tempo/dancing, and racing games, there's also a bunch of Japanese arcade imports (the type of machines where you sit on a stool and play), coin pushers, claw/crane, and ticket based games. Not only that, most the plushies and prizes in the claw/crane and drop games are actually desirable (read: not random nor cheap/crappy).As much fun as I had playing several of the aforementioned games, I did notice several of the same "issues" that others have brought up in their reviews. Primarily with regards to how difficult their claw/crane games seem to be. Don't get me wrong - I assumed they weren't going to be easy, given the quality of the prizes and that making them too easy means making less money, but they definitely seemed harder than most others I've played in the past (not sure if the grips are loosened or if the cords are intentionally twisted). Also, while each individual play for the majority of the games here isn't ridiculously expensive, the amount you'll end up spending here can add up quickly if you aren't paying attention and/or pacing yourself with the constant and frequent swiping. That being said, it also applies to to any arcade that utilizes swipe cards instead of coins or tokens, so it's not something exclusive to Round1. In any case, considering how it's attached to the Westfield Galleria (with its own entrance and operating hours), this isn't a bad spot to take your kids while out shopping, a night out with friends, or just a nostalgic way to spend some of that hard earned adult money burning a hole in your wallet.THREE AND A HALF STARS rounded up.

Had such a fun date here with my husband! They have so many arcade games, food, bowling, etc. It was really busy and one of the basketball games didn't work and the worker told us to go tell them at the front desk and they were able to refund us back which was really nice. Probably spent an hour here, we also took some photos too.

Round1 is pretty much my favorite place for arcade and claw machines. It is conveniently connected to the Galleria Mall with its own entrance. The atmosphere is always lively, so it can be loud to some people.Food quality is like other bowling/entertainment places. However, I would not come there hungry since the wait can be pretty long. The 99 cents ice cream scoop is my go-to with variety of flavors. The claw machines always have cute plushies like Hello Kitty, Rilakkuma, Line Friends, and boba animals . Winning definitely is not easy, but it is doable. The arcade games selection is huge and super fun.I do think the price is on a higher end, but you are paying for the convenience of having everything there. They also often have on-going promotions and deals in-store and through app. The only thing they are missing is laser tag.

Even though the place closes at 2 am, they closed the bathrooms half an hour or earlier. They wouldn't let anyone into the bathroom; and the rest of the mall was closed. This was extremely distressing as someone with a disability, and irritable bowel syndrome. According to California Health and Safety Code, Division 104, Part 15, Chapter 2, Article 6, Section 118700, they are required to allow immediate access to bathrooms to individuals with eligible medical conditions, which includes IBS; and violation of this code is subject to a civil penalty of $100. Two overweight female appearing (?) employees were extremely rude, and wouldn't even let me into the bathroom to wash my hands, which wouldn't even cause a mess. They were too lazy to let anyone in, because they didn't want to clean again: but they should have just held off from cleaning until closing if that's the case. Honestly shows round 1's poor quality and customer service, based on the types of employees that they hire. I previously invited a bunch of friends to hang out there, but I won't be making that mistake again until they improve the quality of their employees. There are harder working people that are actually nice who deserve those jobs instead.

The food was okay, they have a variety of different foods you can order. The taste is pretty basic, nothing too spectacular. It's just what you would expect for an arcade/bowling place. The service was fine, it was pretty busy and they were totally slammed but they maintained composure and still were very polite. The environment was super vibrant and we had so much fun! This is a great place to have a date night, a family night out, birthday parties etc. totally recommend if you love to bowl and love to play arcade games!

Full disclaimer that this review of Round1 is solely in regards to the food court. My initial reaction - very impressed at both the selection of tasty snacks and their reasonable prices! From full pizzas to single scoops of ice cream, there seemed to be something for everyone at the Round1 food court. Not being much of an arcade person, most of my time at Round1 was spent happily munching on french fries while following my friends around and watching them try to declare victory against the claw machines. Afterward, we all sat down for more snacks and were satisfied by all of them. The experience was made even better by the streamlined ordering system at the kiosks, and the reasonably paced turnaround time for the food to come out.Five stars from me because as far as food courts at bowling alleys/arcades, I've not seen better. And the star of the show? Without a doubt, the 99 cent ice cream!

Round1 Arcade & Bowling. Wow this place is huge! What used to be the lower part of know the defunct Sears. Now houses Round1 Arcade & Bowling. The latter word being used very loosely & I will explain later. If you have a Samsung Phone, turn Smart Things off or device scanning. Their TV's are all Samsung, so your phone continously tries to connect to any one if the TV's in range. Unclear about other Android Phones or iPhones. But whoever Round1 hired as their AV. Was lazy to disable that feature from the beginning. On the day we were here celebrating our niece's 12th BDay on Aug 10, 2024. The AC appeared to not be working. To make matters even uncomfortable, the lights above the dining seating (first come, first serve basis, unless its reserved for a small party) was tremendously hot as the heat focuses on top of your head. So with the mall being cool on the inside interior. It's even hotter inside Round1. All the games emit heat. No matter the cooling fan inside the game. This also doesn't help the games as well. I know from a work experience perspective. But whew, people were sweating. From the interior of the mall. You are greeted by the amount of "The Claw" games. (IYK what I am talking about) The prizes are from the plushed Hello Kitty line to the small plastic like egg prizes and the "OMG, I gotta that!" prize. If you have seen a Japanese Arcade on YouTube, shows, media. It's similar like that. Minus the stools to sit on. It's loud. Really loud. So if you have sensitive hearing, hearing loss, etc. Bring ear plugs. With the music, game music and sounds it can be a bit unnerving. The food here is something to reconsider to a point. Yes, they sell food and drinks here. By that I mean, if you are hungry and lazy to go the food court, by all means purchase your food and drinks here. Pizza? Yep. Burgers and Chicken? Yep. Takoyaki (think sushi roll), rice bowl, gyoza? Yep, yep and yep. I'll let my pics answer your questions of cost and choices. Price will vary in the future so my pics are just for reference. Quality of the food? Well I only had pizza. So if you want a comparison. I'd say they are in line with the likes of Johnny Rockets and Chuck E Cheese in the area. So don't be a Foodie Afficinado and take this to another level. It's fast food with a pre-prep, cooking time and cost. This is an Arcade and Bowling site. You & your friends are here to play and sustain your hunger cravings when needed and repeat your gaming endeavors. But, I am sure there reviewers and future reviewers that is going smash their taste amd cost of food. So remember to ask their profession. But wait. PARENTS, If you came here to set loose your kids and have them run amuck in this Arcade. Or those age 21 & over and have nothing to do but binge on gaming and bowling. They serve alcohol. Whaaat? Yes, Beer on Tap. Wine in a Glass. They have the usual Hard Liquor. Jameson, Bicardi, Tequila, Makers Mark, Tanquery, Hennysey. Oddly, I don't know, could be me at my age now. But I saw a couple walking around with their drinks to play games. Weird, kind of like being in Las Vegas or Reno. Management might want to look into that or consider some contingent plan to ensure, 1 mis-placed drink and a kid will have its first taste of alcohol before the age of 13. My personal advice. If you come here to bowl. There are only 8 lanes. So there is a wait. And the wait can be long. You can't call in advance to make reservations. It's literally a First Come, First Basis rule. So in a nut shell. Here goes. Birthday packages does not include bowling. There is a "Immersive Package" but that is a "Add-On". Go to their website.3 Large Party Rooms with Karaoke. 8 Lanes, No call in RSVP. FCFS Basis4 Pool Tables.Tons of Mechanical "The Claw" Arcade.VR and standard Arcade games. Beer Tap Bar, Hard Liquior & wine. 1 Drink per ID.Variety Food Stand & ice cream.Overall, choose your credits in which you can afford. It can cost you alot!! Enjoy!!

This is a pretty cool place for younger and older kids. I heard about it a lot in the past but this is the first time we've been. Actually it's the first time being back to The Galleria since the pandemic. They have a variety of games to get those cute stuffy dolls, a bowling alley, a billiard and I also saw Karaoke. There were 3 party rooms that I think I saw and a small food court which my husband said too bad we didn't come here first. Will definitely bring the kid back here to play in the near future.

Parking structure next to Round 1 makes it easy to enter. Games are fun. Arcade section is decent, my family prefers the claw games. For regular cards, they have $10 (weekend price) for 60 min on green and blue arcade. Facility is kept clean.
