Great neighborhood, classic establishment. Just know what you're in for when you walk in! -No-frills, true dive-Cash only-No running tabs-Great bar food (order at the window, no servers, also cash only)-Lots of locals and regulars-No-frills bartenders who are attentive and quick-Pool tables ( i think Tuesdays is a league night? So the place gets pretty busy and tables are occupied)-handful of TV's to watch whatever sport is on that night-limited draft options -- this is not the place you come for a unique craft IPA. -Good liquor selection and your basic mixed drinks. Not a fancy cocktail type of place.

Round Corner is located on the corner of S st and 24th, so pretty much all street parking. We came on a Monday around 6:30 and had zero issues finding a spot. Inside is reminiscent of your typical dive bar, dark and dank. There were a few spots to sit at in front and a few more tables in the back past the 2 pool tables. For those of you who play pool, the bumpers are good, so adjust your game accordingly. This is a cash only bar which I'm not a fan of but beers were cheap, $4.50 for a Corona. They do have an ATM if needed. They also have a touch-tunes style jukebox which hardly no one used the whole time we were there. They do have a few TV's which aired the World Series and some football games. Didn't get the friendliest vibe from the bartender or regular patrons. They do serve food and it smelled good but I just couldn't see $18 for 10 chicken wings, seems a bit too steep for mediocre bar food. The woman's bathroom is super tiny and only 1 stall but was well maintained. They have an "adult" vending machine in the woman's stall instead of your normal tampon machine, which I thought was hilarious. Curiosity got the best of me but unfortunately the machine did not work. There were tampon on the top of the machine tho should you find yourself in need. Overall, just an average dive in downtown. Probably not on my list of places to return unless it's for another pool league game.

The more I've lived in Sacramento, the more I've appreciate Round Corner. Friendly owner, classically divey, nice drinks, and good food. Hope it does well with the new theater coming in next door!

To the locals and regulars that frequent "Round Corner Tavern", this is your no-frills "dive bar" that has withstood the test of time over the years. In my younger days when chugging down drinks was a more common occurrence, I usually found myself coming here on a bar/pub crawl or a spot where I walked in, knew what I wanted, and stayed for an hour, sometimes two, or even through the wee hours of the night.Located in the heart of Midtown Sacramento and at the corner of 24th and S St's, this place has retained much of its charm where not a lot has changed over the years. I came here on a whim and parked only a stones throw away from the main entrance. Inside you will notice a pool table and a fairly decent interior with barstools and regular tables & chairs. The bar itself has everything you need to get you going with several cheap beers on tap as well as all the regular hard liquors to choose from.Surprisingly, they have a fairly decent food selection specializing in all the comfort classics including wings, tacos, burgers, chicken tenders, a BLT, and deep-fried sides. Since I wasn't too hungry, I ended up enjoying an iced cold Pabst Blue Ribbon (on tap) for a very affordable $4.50 for a pint. One thing I particularly like with this place (as well as other dive bars such as "Old Tavern", "Benny's", etc.) is that you can enjoy a night out without breaking the bank. And please drink responsibly by getting a designated driver and/or taking rideshare. However, the service here leaves a lot to be desired. During my visit (which was the night of Saturday 7/20/2024 at around 9:30pm), there was only one bartender working the entire bar. He was helpful and poured my drink while the overall beer temperature was chilled perfectly. So if you're looking for a fancy place, this place ain't it. But if you prefer that true old-school gritty dive experience, "Round Corner" will have you covered. My rating, just an average three stars.

Cute dive bar with pool tables and tvs. They also offer food like chicken tenders and fries. I didn't eat, but the regulars seemed to like them. I went Friday during the day and there was about 10 people there, but I bet it gets busier after work.

Hidden gem in Sacramento! The vibe is absolutely a dive bar but everyone is very friendly. The staff are awesome! My friends and I came in for a quick drink & bite to eat and we left full and so happy to start our Friday night. Lumpias we're perfection. They were rolled perfectly and had plenty of filling. I loved their lemon pepper wings. But omg, the chicken tacos were the best! I saw lots of over reviews that claim these were the best chicken tacos they've had and I thought they were crazy...but they're THAT good. The shell is crunchy and the toppings are just loaded on top. It's not pretty to eat but absolutely delicious! Keep in mind that they get pretty busy so if you want a place to sit, I recommended going in before 7. They also accept cash only!! If you happen to go in without cash, there's an atm inside.

Upgrading because what is not to like? The well whiskey maybe. But maybe I can stop being a cheap ass. Drian's is the best bar food in town, and that's a fact. He has plenty of vegetarian options too, which I was surprised to find last time we came in for drinks, a late lunch, and to watch my 49ers when they were still in the running (a moment of silence please). The hogging of pool tables is really only a busy weekend night type of thing. I have had no bad experiences here and like the people that hang out here, and of course, the people who work here. It's divey, it's fun, it's an experience. The TV digital signal was a bit whack last time we were here, but I still love this place too much after all these years to take off stars anymore. These past few years have taken away some of my favorite watering holes, so I continue to be happy the Round Corner stays to keep me company.

Good drinks, cheap price. The bar food is good by Drain's Steve the bartender that works Tuesday through Friday is the best bartender in Sacramento, so is George that works Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Both bartenders been working there for a very long time. Good customer service too. The bartender Craig works Saturday mornings and Friday mornings idiot. Bad customer service very rude. Don't give a shit lazy as hell. He sucks.

Rude AF... i'm gonna say they're racist. Literally went in there to order a drink in the middle of ordering The bartender walks away. I never seen anybody wipe off a pool table. He did that and came back to me and asked what I wanted and still was very rude. F*** this place.
