Rosemont North Park is a beautiful and charming park located in the heart of Rosemont neighborhood. Over the years, this park has become the staple for picnics, BBQs, soccer practices, dog walkers, occasional runners, and personally a refuge in relaxation. For the past month or two, I've been leisurely training for the upcoming half-marathon, and as a response i have been running a total of 9-15 miles a week (not counting gym time/treadmill) through two connecting parks. I consider this park my cool-down session, and at the other a grueling 8:30-9:00mile pace. (i know its slow but i gotta start somewhere) During my cool down session, i'm always pleasantly surprised in what this park has to offer. The trees, shade, fresh cut grass, and BBQ smells of hotdogs, burgers, ribs, and other unique concoctions making this place one of a kind. I give Rosemont North park a 4/5. The less one star rating is due to the limited lighting. Some other parks have small LED lights that light certain areas (e.g. playgrounds,walking-paths, and certain trees) giving the place a sense of security and visibility. In my opinion, it would be nice to install few more lighting fixtures; other than that, this park is still my go-to-park in getting my work-out done or occasional BBQs.
