I come here at least once a week or every other week when I have my cravings. Roku is my go to spot for sushi and ramen. All their nigiri/sashimi is very fresh. They don't skimp out on the sizes either. Staff is friendly and attentive. Establishment is also very clean. Sometimes there's a wait but it's so good that everyone comes to this spot.

Extremely high-quality Japanese food served beautifully. We ordered takeout, but our limited interaction with the servers was great. This isn't a place where you'll get tons of food for the price, so expect smaller portions of top tier ingredients and you will be happy.Gotta get: Salmon Teriyaki Bento and the Ribeye Teriyaki Bento. Grilled salmon was tender, well-seasoned, and topped with a light teriyaki sauce. Ribeye was perfectly cooked to order. It came with miso soup, a green salad, rice, deep-fried gyoza, and fruit slices, which were all delicious. The Miso soup was rich and had so much umami. Not watered down at all.Safe bet: Tempura appetizer and Angel's kiss roll. The best tempura that I've had in the area -- light, crispy, and not greasy. Lightly battered and the flavors of the shrimp and assorted veggies showed through. Angel's kiss roll was fresh, a nice balance of sweet, salty, and umami.Forget: Karaage. It wasn't bad, but compared to the other dishes, I wouldn't order it again.

Checked out Roku for the first time and can see why this place is a hit. Service was excellent and the food was good. Very clean and open restaurant. We tried their sashimi bento box and ramen. The ramen was generous on the noodles. Also saw that they had snow crab chawanmushi on their special so had to try it since we enjoyed it at another restaurant during omakase. And not a typical item on the menu. It didn't have shiitake mushrooms like the other place but nonetheless the texture was there and we enjoyed it. Look forward to trying out their rolls next time.

I enjoyed the dry ice presentation and flavor of the $30 Nigiri Moriawase. It came with a tuna roll and chef's choice nigiri: tuna, amberjack, sea bream, saba, albacore, yellowtail, and salmon. My favorite nigiri were the amberjack and albacore. The sushi rice was seasoned, having a brownish color.Miso soup was excellent. It came with wakame seaweed, soft tofu, green onions, and enoki mushrooms. The dishes and plating are thoughtful, intricate, and lovely. The dry ice smoke got poured into then flowed out of a little golden bear. The nigiri moriawase plate had a textured surface. The ginger & wasabi serving dish was in the form of a flower, and the soy sauce dish was also flower or star shaped to match. Service was polite and efficient. My server kindly repeated and translated the nigiri fishes for me.Attractive, modern restaurant.I'd be interested in trying the Lunch Bento, Daily Specials (chawanmushi, sando, black cod tempura), nigiri appetizer (4 nigiri), sashimi appetizer (6 sashimi), salmon avocado roll, yellowtail chives roll, and sweet potato tempura roll in the future.

After reading all the 4 and 5 star reviews, we had to try Roku. Walked in and we were greeted by staff. We were seated quickly. Great menu of the standard sushi rolls etc, plus many more adventurous items as well.Food was quickly delivered even though it was very busy. I had the Rainbow roll, and Roku has their own version. Nice size roll, very tasty. I also ordered the green salad, however it was drowning in salad dressing. I could not finish it. Hubby had the rib eye steak teriyaki, he really enjoyed it. Then he ordered the yuzu cheesecake and it was such a small piece I had to laugh! Just a tiny sliver. It was tasty though. My only complain is that it is very loud, the acoustics inside are not great. By the time we left I had a headache from the noise. That's just a personal thing, I am not a fan of restaurants that you cannot talk to your dining companion.

Busy restaurant that serves good quality fish. Artful presentation of plates, rolls and desserts and fast service make this an easy dinner choice when craving sushi although some of their dishes may be a bit small for the overly hungry

I loved everything about this place, except how noisy it was when crowded. Much better as the dinner rush passed. Definitely would put this on my after 8pm list. Excellence is always in the details, and this place nailed the details. Real chopsticks, not wooden. Perfect tea cups that keep the tea hot and your hands cool. High quality dishes. Cushions on the wood bench seats. All of it was the perfect compliment to the attentive service and delicious and very fresh food. Definitely coming back.

The menu has a fairly wide variety of all the tried and true Japanese-American dishes you've come to know and love. The food presentation is pretty. The flavors are delicious. The dining room is artfully designed yet not precious. Be seated at a table for conversation with your loved ones or sit at the sushi counter to watch the chefs do their magic knife skills. The real draw and best attribute of this restaurant is the people. Every employee we met this evening was cheerful and welcoming. The smiles were big, free and sincere. I felt as though we made a handful of new friends.Price to quality ratio is good. My 3 course steak teriyaki dinner was plenty of food for $23.Only complaint is that the yuzu cheesecake slice was miniscule. I'll gladly return. Hopefully soon.

A definite plus for good Japanese food. It's trendy, fresh, and very nicely designed. We were greeted and seated right away, but at 5:30 on a Saturday, it was already crowded. I didn't see any info on their web page for reservations, but I overheard them taking them. The menu is extensive, and the sushi options are plentiful.I opted for a mushroom appetizer and a spicy ramen. Both were excellent. The mushrooms, 4 in total, were a bit difficult to eat, yet quite delicious. Thr ramen noodles were exceptional, and the entire dish was very flavorful. I would have liked it a bit spicier, but that's just me.I washed it down with a Sapporo beer, a perfect compliment to the meal.Service was friendly, efficient, and very much on top of their game. Kudos I enjoyed the entire experience and will go back for sushi. The meal overall was quite reasonable in cost.

Nice, new sushi spot. Service is top notch. Classy plating. Fresh, high-quality sushi; therefore, you won't get big, fat sushi rolls like you'd get in more casual, Americanized sushi spots.- A-5 wagyu with uni was a tasty treat- Toro- Kamasu- Roseville rollTheir expanding napkin presentation was cool. ;)
