RNB BBQ & Sausage

Wait... what??!! How did I not know RUB-N-BUTTS was right here?? Were talking about AWARD WINNING SMOKED MEATS, FOLKS!I walked into RNB BBQ & Sausage on the recommendation of a friend, just to find out they are 2024's winners of the All American Rib Cookoff WINNERS!!!! RUB-N-BUTTS!!!!I'm so sad I didn't go to the Rib cookoff, which would've been the 4th year in a row for me, just to hear their name called for 1st place! I voted for them in 2021, 2022, and 2023 for my favorite tasting ribs! 1st, their only open on Thursdays and Fridays from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm. 2nd, it SMELLS AMAZING! I walked up close to 12 to order lunch.. There are some seats inside and a picnic table outside if you eat there. I had the pleasure of speaking and ordering with John! Today, I ordered a Brisket Sandwich and a Sausage Sandwich. Both came with cabbage and red onion on a ciabatta bun. Both served with a pickle sphere. John gave me a side of bbq sauce for the brisket and chipotle bbq for the sausage sandwich. Each sandwich comes with chips and a drinkWhen I got home, I couldn't help but notice how TENDER the brisket was. When I pulled a piece off, it tore ever so gently. It was juicy and tasted like HEAVEN! My other half said the sausage sandwich was the best he's ever had! Neither of our masterpiece sandwiches lasted long. They were devoured with so many mmm's and omg's. We can't wait to go back because we may each get our own rack of ribs, lolThere are tank tops and t-shirts available to represent the best Smokein' bbq around! They have the trophies to prove it. So get your BUTTS over here and get your hands on RUB-N-BUTTS!!! Because, as they say...Ya Can't beat our meat!

Stopped here for lunch last week. We have driven by many times, however, they are only open Thursday and Friday.,The owner? who took our order was friendly and the restaurant was a small roadhouse style place. Seems like they might be mainly a catering operation.The meat was terrific. Brisket melted in your mouth and tri tip amazing as well. Prices were fair. I would suggest not to add lettuce or onions to the sandwiches. Just serve the meat, bread and sauce. We will be back to take some of their meats home with us.

Killer tri tip. Love the creamy jalapeño corn. Service is always fast with a smile. Small but cozy inside area. I look forward to Thursday's and Friday's when they're open! My only gripe is that a ton of the sides contain pork which I didn't realize until after I got home and unknowingly took a bite. Probably not a dealbreaker for most people, but I don't eat any pork products and would've appreciated a warning on the menu somewhere.

OUTSTANDING!! My first order from this BBQ was, simply, the best I've ever had. I had three items: Beer Brat sausage sandwich, Creamy Corn and Potato Salad. This place went 3 for 3...all home runs. Every ingredient was fresh and each item prepared perfectly. I have had BBQ all over California and the best of these others was maybe 90%. I would give RNB 110%. Right here in my own home town of Auburn! If I ever find better BBQ anywhere I will update my review. But I'm not holding my breath...because I can't while I'm eating.
