Rey Mimosa Breakfast and Lunch

Four of us had breakfast and this restaurant nailed it. Great food, good portions and excellent service.I had the sausage and eggs. Asked for crispy hashbrowns and they delivered. My wife asked for the house potatoes, and she loved them. It was nice to see the bell peppers and onions sauteed to perfection instead of sitting there cold and hard on the plate. Her ham was wonderful!!!!I really enjoyed their iced tea. Clean and crisp. Chris was an excellent server. Not pushy and super nice. We all really enjoyed the food and service.

Went for the first time during lunchtime on a Sunday.I ordered the steak burrito for $15.99. The menu says it includes a 10 ounce steak. There was a good amount of steak but not sure it was 10 ounces worth. I asked if it could be made to order and the waiter said yes, but it was cooked well instead of medium. And it wasn't because it heated up in the burrito because the packaged shredded cheese had not melted at all. It came with guacamole which was in desperate need of salt and 4 tortilla chips which were nice and crunchy. The "sauce" was on the side but wasn't very tasty so I did not use. Overall it was tasty, but I would not order it again.My grandson ordered a strawberry waffle for $13.99. It was lacking in fresh strawberries and had a big. ball of butter which did not melt at all on top. Also had a drizzle of strawberry sauce or syrup and came with a small amount of maple syrup. He liked it but I thought it looked pathetic and kind of resented paying $13.99 for it. Also wasn't a fan of the lemonade my grandson ordered for $3.49. I tasted it and it had no fresh lemon to be found. It was def made from a mix.We were able to avoid the 20 minute wait (place was packed on Sunday) and sat in one of the booths outside. Luckily the booth is in front of windows and the staff helped us right away. I must say the service was very good!Looking at the food at other tables, it all looked pretty good. I would maybe go back and try it again when wanting that type of food at a diner type place.

Food and service was excellent all three times we have eaten there. Great breakfast menu at reasonable prices. The staff are all very service oriented and polite. During the warm months we bring our dog along and eat outside at one of the booths.One of our favorites.

Rey Mimosa in Cameron Park, CA, is a family owned local breakfast and lunch place. They have a huge menu... lots of options from American breakfast (plates, French toasts, skillets, pancakes, Benedict's), Mexican breakfast, crepes, burgers, sandwiches, salads, kids menu, and of course their signature mimosas. Solid comfort food. Family friendly place.Hubs ordered the club sandwich and onion rings. They used pre-sliced lunch meat, nothing wrong with that. Classic solid sandwich option. I had the steak and chilaquiles verde. It was my first time ordering it from them. The tortillas were soft and served in verde sauce. Even though I was hoping for a bit more crunch and crispiness, the verde flavor was spot on... delicious. Rey Mimosa is located in Burke's Junction shopping plaza which is a local shopping official landmark. It was built in the early 1980s with an old west town theme. It still has a touch of that design look still.

So glad to have this breakfast gem in El Dorado County. The staff is ON POINT, front of house is constantly on their toes zigging and zagging making sure all tables are getting loved on, coffee refilled and tables turned to help with the wait.The kitchen is CRANKING out the food and NAILING IT! Crispy waffles, fluffy French toast and flavor packed Mexican desayuno options with ranch beans. This is going to become a weekend go-to for breakfast for our family.

First time coming here I came here with a friend I really like the atmosphere we came during a weekday wasn't busy when we came in staff was super friendly. I love the different food and drink options I got the large mimosa for only $13 and you order one you will be good. I got a classic BLT sandwich with garlic fries the sandwich was good garlic fries was ok. I love that this place opened up and it's near by and something new to try in town. I will definitely be coming back to eat here.

So good a little slow but worth the wait. Wide variety of mimosas! Excellent! Split a shrimp omelet so good! First ever avocado shrimp and capers!! Open spacious seating. Very friendly!Worth every moment of your time!
