This is a cute little very personal theater. The place is hidden and kept very clean ( bathrooms included ) and the staff is very nice and helpful. We watched 3 torch trilogy and it was very good. The actors wonderful and so was the props. Can't wait to return to see what will be next.

My partner and I were in Sacramento this past weekend visiting friends. We were invited to attend a performance of Torch Song Trilogy by Harvey Fierstein. First of all I have to totally disagree with the one star review by "SHEILA S." The night we attended November 13th, 2015, I REALLY LOVED IT!. The theatre is funky and fun, the reception when you enter was warm and very friendly, we sat back in the upper last row with our friend and had a great view of the stage area. The show started at 8pm and the "self-indulgent director -per (SHEILA S)." came out and gave a little talk about the show, and that it WAS 4.5 hours long, ok so what, I was there to see a show, it's Friday night. The show takes place in three sections with two 15 minute intermissions between. BTW Sheila S, I hardly believe that you were "TRAPPED" in any way in that theatre. Why did you not just get up and leave during an intermission? I am sure you would NOT have been missed being you have such an important life and seeing how the script was "bogged down in minutia and redundancy". As far as your "Back" I am sure there are some great back doctors in the Sacramento area you could go and see due to your tramatic and aweful experience that the director put you through. From the moment the show started, and until the final call of the actors I can say that they had my full attention the entire 4.5 hours. I felt the actors had great chemistry, and VERY believeable. The entire show really had a great flow, the acting was smooth and at time emotional and even had a few tears running down my cheek. I would like to thank the cast and crew for a very enjoyable and entertaining evening, this theatre is a hidden gem in Sacramento, if I lived in Sacramento I would be back for a second time. To Shelia S..... a word of advice: "It is better to remain silent at the risk of being thought a fool than to talk and remove all doubt of it!"

This is my second visit to the theater. The first visit was such a pleasure. And like the first time, the people who run the theater are very nice, the theater is clean, and they do everything to make sure your visit is pleasant. But this time I was horrified! This time we saw Torch Song Trilogy. Most of the acting was good. Much of it was over-acted for such a small theater. But this production was the director's self-indulgent interpretation of the play. The show started around 8pm. We were trapped in that theater until 12:45 am! A 4.5 hour production? C'mon, people have lives. I didn't get home until 2 am. And it wasn't like this was a riveting 4.5 hours of dialogue. The script was bogged down in minutia and redundancy. The seats in the theater are not designed for 4.5 hours of sitting. My back is in so much pain today. I can't believe any director would do this to their audience. Just an awful, awful experience.

Went to see The Taming- the acting was right on! Great comic timing and interaction between the actors. Nice small theater made for an intimate experience. Such a pleasure- I'll be keeping an eye on their calendar so I can go to the next show!
