You should try this place. We have had some really good experiences at Red's. It's a unique restaurant and quite a nice surprise in the sleepy little town of Loomis. I cannot think of a better restaurant in any of the surrounding areas, Auburn, Rocklin, Roseville, Granite Bay.

The salad was excellent, best one I've had in a long time. The steak frites were tasty. Not pictured but the family thought the ravioli was delicious. Our server was friendly. I really like the style of the restaurant, exposed brick and some dark wood. Very nice.

We had heard there was a new chef at Red's Bistro and decided to dine there on New Year's Eve. While the restaurant is well appointed and the service was good, the food - and the portions - were below par. Two of us ordered the scallops. What we received was a plate containing three scallops on a bed of risotto that was so thick it was akin to Mac N Cheese. $43.00. I suppose the logic in the kitchen was to provide enough heft on the plate with the risotto to fill the belly of the unlucky sod who ordered the skimpy dish. One other small detail: the server took my empty wine glass, but did not ask if I wanted another. Was I being cut off after one glass?Needless to say the 5 of us will not return to Red's Bistro!

Met up with my parents at this spot my dad found. Super cute interior, very classy and clean. Loved the cushioned half circle couches (I don't have any photos of the interior unfortunately). We started with their house made sourdough bread & duck liver mousse - both tasty. I was skeptical about the mousse because of the name but it was super creamy and paired with delicious port soaked cherries. My family ordered the ricotta cavatelli, halibut and steak and frites (subbed the fries for crispy smashed potatoes). The cavatelli has good flavor and al dente. The steak was a little more cooked than we asked for but it's a thinner cut so it was ok. The aoili paired with the crispy smashed potatoes were great. We ended our meal with a pot de creme which was delicious! So light and creamy and great variety of flavors. Our server, Joe, was attentive. Always making sure we had plenty of water and all requests were met. It was a good balance of attention without feeling like he was smothering us. I will definitely be coming back sometime soon.

I went to reds for a date night and as soon as we got there it was very impressive! The ambiance was really nice! We got sweet potatoes for the starter and it was VERY GOOD! But, for the entries we got the chicken and the burger. The chicken was covered in mushrooms and that was it. The entree could use a side with it that's for sure. The burger was decent and I would get that again but, the fries that came with it were all tiny pieces which was a bummer. We also got wine and that was perfect!The service was pretty good!Not sure if we will be back because it was kind of expensive for what we ordered.....

Delicious food. Very pleasant atmosphere with calm not overly loud music. Simple but attractive decor. Excellent attentive service which included boxing our leftovers. We both chose the daily specials as our entrees. The beet salad was prepared with apple slices covering the beets. The kale, Brussels sprouts, and red cabbage under the duck confit were beautifully flavored with balsamic vinegar.

Our experience. Steven was an excellent server. The food was delicious once we finally received it. It took over an hour from the time we ordered entrees until food was in front of us. Waiter came to the table 4 times apologizing for the delay and assuring us the food was coming. We had dessert. Paid the bill. Tipped 20%. There was never an offer to even take care of our $10 dessert (in my opinion one of the four meals or at least a round of the extra drinks we ordered should have been comp'd). I will not return. Many other good restaurants to choose from.
