My wife and I came here at one time to order food for dinner. I ordered Tonkotsu Ramen and some Chicken Karaage. (Best Japanese food combination, if you ask me). My wife had the BBQ Chicken plate. And for the kids, we had a few more ramen bowls for them (which we asked to prepare for later to go, as my wife and I were dining in). And the taste? It was as good as my go-to ramen shop in the Sacramento city center! Now that I have tasted the fare here, why drive to a further place for great tasting ramen? The service was also outstanding. The staff who took our orders was very knowledgeable and quick, and even remembering to delay our to-go order for the kids so the wife and I can dine in. So friendly and with an abundance of smiles (even when it was late in the day). The place was really inviting and well decorated. Well-lit so you did not have to squint at your food. I guess this place was a mix of Japanese and Hawaiian style food. I guess that from now on, I'll be going here and not the Hawaiian food place nearby...

Dude what in heck is going on over there. I'm not going back to this location. I came in for ramen with extra eggs because I love how the eggs are cooked and I get home and my eggs are all shredded up and are hard boiled not even how they are supposed to be. The meat is so tough and tastes freezer burnt. A ramen bowl , extra eggs and Rangoon's $27 and I can't even eat my bowl, this is disgusting and straight up disrespect that this is served. Waste of my money

I'm not typically big on ramen, but this place was a nice surprise! I stopped by after grocery shopping and had a great experience. The woman that helped me was so nice and had such great customer service. She really honestly went above and beyond. She made multiple recommendations with details and was nice enough to bring me everything, including filling my drink, since I had my hands full with my daughter. Aside from the great customer service, I found the ramen to be so good! I got the tonkotsu and it was perfect. Other places I've tried were either too salty or way too rich for my liking, but not here. The soft boiled egg was my favorite. I also ordered gyoza, which was good also. I takoyaki was also flavorful and nicely cooked. The portion sizes for everything were fairly large in my opinion. Overall I enjoyed this place and will definitely come back to try other flavors of the ramen!

Came in right when they opened so there wasn't a line and food came out fast. The interior decor is very nice, but I was focused in the food!Walk in and order your food up front. They deliver to your table when done. I was so excited to try the black garlic ramen which was loaded with black garlic (not just black garlic oil like other ramen places). The chicken karaage was really yummy but wish they provided more sauce. There was ample food to take leftovers home. I actually ate my ramen leftovers at work for lunch (sorry not sorry to my coworkers for the overbearing yet delicious smell of garlic I'm the breakroom! Lol

Friendly service, pretty good ramen for the area!Located at the outermost corner of the Town & Country Village at the NW corner of Marconi Boulevard at Howe Ave, is Ramen 101.!Step past the double doors, and on your right is the big menu above the front counter. Pro Tip: Don't worry about choosing your level of spiciness (none, mild, medium or HOT) for your ramen when you order. Instead, just add however much hot chili oil and/or chili flakes from the jars at each table later!Order up, get your number, and place that number on a big wooden table of your choice and get seated. The helpful staff will bring out your order in just a few short minutes. Casual semi-fast food vibe where the big crew puts their heart into the restaurant. Everyone smiles here, and I mean everyone! So nice to see! Kudos to them!I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen: 3.75/5Thin noodles are on point - al dente, accompanied by bamboo shoots, a square of nori (seaweed), a boiled egg split into halves with an almost perfect semi-runny yolk and two thin slices of char siu pork. The broth is flavorful but not quite as complex as I was hoping for.. still good...But.. here's the standout feature... Unlike most places where you get just the black garlic oil, Ramen 101 served up at least 14 cloves of real black garlic! That's almost twowhole BULBS of black garlic in my ramen! Yeah.. no one wants to get near me now! lol.Summary: Great service, and a good bowl of ramen in a well-run establishment!

The food is good, but it could be improved a little more on the broth. The service was super fast, we can right before the rush hours. The place has lots of parking space even though it's located near tradersjoes.

Came here after a long drive from the Central Valley. Hoping to get a little grub to ease the stress of our hotel. Daughters loved the ramen and we loved the Hawaiian food-it was delicious just like Hawai'i. Service was excellent, you pay and they'll bring the food over to to your table.

The ramen was great the broth was so flavorful and savory. I loved how the ramen came separate from the broth. It had many toppings like green onions , bean sprouts, garlic and etc.

Food is really good, I get mostly delivery and this place is always quality. The one time I ate in person the restaurant was cute, and the staff were efficient.

There were so many things wrong with the food here. I don't know if all Ramen 101s are like this but this one was bad. The ramen tasted like watered down maruchan. The egg wasn't sweet. The meat was so tough, I had to use my hand to rip it from my mouth like some jerky. I do not recommend this place.
