This was my first time trying Raising Cane's (shocker), and it was a good first impression. I've heard of them for a while but never had the chance to give them a try...until now. We were looking for food options while in Elk Grove and decided on Raising Cane's.This location is in a big plaza with plenty of other food options. We arrived at 1 PM and the line wasn't too bad but there were still a decent amount of customers. I ordered the Caniac combo which comes with 6 chicken fingers, crinkle cut fries, 2 Cane's sauce, toast, coleslaw, and a 32 oz drink. I shared it with my brother and it was a filling meal for the both of us. The chicken fingers were pipping hot and tasty as well. The food certainly met my expectations! The service was efficient and friendly as well, I received my order in a timely manner.

I've always been a fan of Raising Cane's--simple menu, great chicken, and that amazing toast. However, my recent visit on a Sunday night was far from the usual positive experience I've come to expect.First off, the staff on shift seemed to be more focused on laughing and joking around through the intercom than actually taking orders. I understand creating a fun work environment, but when it comes at the expense of customer service, it becomes a problem. Responses were delayed, and the unprofessional tone left me feeling like I was interrupting their personal conversations instead of being a valued customer. When I finally got my food, the disappointment continued. My order barely had any fries--just crumbs at the bottom of the box. It seemed like they were either too lazy to prepare a fresh batch or were just trying to get rid of the leftovers. Either way, it was unacceptable. The fries are supposed to complement the meal, not leave you searching for substance. To make matters worse, the toast, which is usually the highlight of any Cane's meal for me, was a complete letdown. It had the texture and taste of something microwaved, rather than the warm, buttery, toasted perfection I'm used to. It felt like no care was put into preparing it, which is disappointing given how much I usually look forward to it.Overall, the service was subpar, and the food quality didn't even come close to Raising Cane's usual standards. If the staff had enough time to joke around, they should've had enough time to ensure the orders were accurate and fresh. I hope this was just a one-off bad experience, but it's certainly made me think twice about returning, especially on a Sunday night. Cane's is better than this, and I hope the management addresses these issues to restore the quality and service they're known for.

Ive been a fan of Cane's for a very very long time. From their location in Vegas, to reno, angel's camp, even down south (georgia, tennesee) etc I will say I was happy when it came to Elk Grove. Initially when I went for the first time, I wasn't impressed. Elk Grove didnt have the flavor that the other locations had. So I stopped going. But then, after a few months i decided to try it again. While the food is now on par with the flavor, I will say that this location is held back mostly by the staff. The service is inexcusably horrible. On several occasions, I have ordered their curbside service, because I was in a hurry or because I had my kid in the car. Out of all the times I have selected this, only ONCE have they brought my order to the car. I often see other people in the parking lot who had been waiting for quite some time. My reason for writing this review is because the other day I selected the curbside service. After confirming on the app that I had arrived (and the app also uses geo tracking so it knew I was nearby) So after 15 minutes I walked inside. My order was right there on the counter. The restaurant wasnt busy. The manager looked at the cashier and laughed, saying "missed another one huh"......in my opinion, if you offer curbside as an option, DO IT correctly. This is less of a coincidence and more like the culture of this restaurant

I first tried Raising Cane's in Reno, NV, and was surprised by how good it was. When I heard they were opening one in Elk Grove, I was ecstatic. My go-to order is the Caniac Box with extra toast. The chicken strips are so crispy and tender, and they pair perfectly with their famous sauce. The drive-thru is typically a wait but there's plenty of open seating inside of the restaurant.

First time at this location. Location wise is not the best since it's next door to In N Out. A lot of traffic blocking both parking lot. Thankfully the drive thru was not busy but it was kind of hard to tell where the entrance was with all the cars blocking on the side of the lot. Food came out pretty quick. Service is okay. Could be better. Staff who took the order was not really friendly, came off kind of cold. Maybe it's been a bad day . Ended up ordering 3 combos, 25 pieces tailgate and extra garlic bread. When asked what kind of drinks I wanted, I had asked if it was Pepsi or Coke product. Staff responded they were out of coke and dr. Pepper. Instead of letting me know what drinks they had available verbally she pointed to the tablet but was pointing to the wrong place. Ended up ordering two sprite and an orange Fanta. Sprites ended up going down the sink. They tasted nasty and were definitely not sprite. It was a waste and disappointing. Should had check the drinks before driving off. Chicken was moist. Garlic bread could have been a bit more toasted, per kids review. Fries were sort of soggy by the time I got home. Overall, the food was okay.

A must for me when I'm in town. The chicken is always well battered and tastes great. Staff always seem to be pretty friendly from what I've noticed.

The first raising canes in the sac region and located next to innout, adding to the craziness of this plaza but the people love it. Canes is very simple - the menu is just chicken tenders and chicken sandwiches... made out of the same chicken tenders. Plus their side options of toast, coleslaw, and fries. As well as beverage options of the standard coke series of sodas and their sweetened and unsweetened iced teas. Also can't forget the awesome nugget ice cubes. People hype up their special sauce but honestly it's alright to me but I will say their tenders, fries, and toast hit the spot if that's what you're craving or wanting. They also open somewhat late, till 11pm. The drive thru lines are inevitable here but if you're willing to wait in them then by all means, otherwise, I'd recommend ordering Togo inside.

Terrible service. Ordered tailgate of the 25 pc chicken on the app for curbside. Waited 15+ min in the car and it was supposed to be ready like 30 min ago. On the app, it said it was already picked up, so we were super confused. I walked inside and they had the order in the store waiting. Idk why no one walked it out to us especially when I clicked that we were there on the app...We also went when it wasn't busy so I just don't get it.

LOVE Raising Cane's! I tried it for the first time in Vacaville. And when I was in Elk Grove the next day, I just had to have it again. LOLI order the three chicken tenders with fries. Chicken is tender and juicy and comes with a great sauce. I also ordered lemonade. Good stuff!Service was good, and the wait time was not long at all. Great dining experience at this location.I will definitely be back again... and again!
