Rainbow Day Care Center

Under the new management (Ms. Sharon) and current set of teachers, the daycare has improved significantly. I have a 4.5 year old (at this daycare for 3 years) and 1.5 year old (at this daycare for 1+ year), and this is the best it's been.The current set of teachers are wonderful. They are easily the best thing about this place. They also all work well together which creates a great environment for the kids.With the new leadership & management, along with the current teachers, I would definitely recommend Rainbow Daycare to other families.

We have a child that is in the preschool and another that will be attending in the fall. We love rainbow and the staff. They've always been kind and welcoming to our family and child. Our child has a speech delay and the teachers at rainbow have only helped encourage her through play and friendships to find her voice. It feels like every day she comes home she's saying something new or showing us something fun she's done in class. The teachers and new director keep lines of communication open and are always telling us about her day, what we can do at home to practice and sharing fun photos of her.A lot of staffing has changed since we first started and only for the better. A lot of the negative reviews are from previous staffing issues. Yes, we were enrolled during those times and we've seen such an amazing improvement with the new director. She wants Rainbow to thrive and it shows. She really does care about Rainbow, the staff, the children and the families.

My family could not be more thankful to the staff especially Ms. Martha and Ms. Josephine. Our son has grown in leaps and bounds in the last 6 months. We couldn't be more thankful for their patience and encouragement of our son.

Sad update. A lot of issues have came to light after my last post. Before choosing a daycare, I highly recommend searching for citations posted on the dept of social services website. RDCs Facility IDs: 340309465 (preschool) and 340312651 (infant)

Our eldest child started at Rainbow Day Care in the Spring of 2021 and is currently enrolled in Pre-K while our youngest child started in the Winter of 2023 and is in the Yellow Class (young toddlers). The Center has undergone a number of good transitions both in terms of staffing and policy that have immensely improved the educational experience of the children and relationships with the parent/caregiver community. The Staff genuinely love and care for each child and their development. Every effort is made to make sure that parents/caregivers are involved and kept in the loop. As some other reviewers have mentioned, what sets Rainbow apart is the fact that it's a parent co-op and the Director of the Center works closely with a parent Board of Advisors (many of whom have children that currently attend or have attended Rainbow). We feel fortunate to have found Rainbow during the height of the pandemic and even more so now as we continue to see only positive improvements. The Staff and parent/caregiver community is welcoming and inclusive ad most of all, we know that our children and happy and well taken care of by the staff and teachers. We would happily recommend Rainbow to anyone looking for childcare.

I have a 5 year old and 2 year old currently enrolled in Rainbow, and plan to enroll my newborn later this year. My first child enrolled in 2019, so we have seen quite a few changes at the center over the last 5 years. The current staff and management are fantastic - my children are happy to go to "school", and I feel that I and my children have great relationships with the staff and the new director, Ms. Sharon. Further, I am pleased with the policy changes and staff updates that the center has undergone since late last year, and the increase in leadership from the parent board. From updated curriculum to colorful new classrooms, our family feels that Rainbow is a truly welcoming and nurturing environment, and we are happy to bring our children here every day.

Yay! Their license is in the process of being revoked. I don't know what took licensing so long. I now see they are "under new management, but I still wouldn't trust them.

I strongly encourage you to find another daycare facility. Trust and integrity are essential characteristics that you should expect from the relationship between yourself and those responsible with watching your children; unfortunately, I can have no trust in Rainbow Daycare as they've shown and extreme lack of integrity.From lost tuition payments (over $1,500) to broken promises and attempted shakedowns. My experience with Rainbow Daycare has been truly nightmarish. We were so fortunate to find a new daycare on short notice. I understand that options are limited and Daycare facilities feel that they hold all the cards (and with year long wait-list, they probably do) but I strongly strongly strongly caution against sending your children here unless it's your last resort.

My child is excited to arrive each morning. The current staff is caring and responsible. I appreciate the daily updates on his schedule and activities.

Seems like there are some internal struggles with management and the board. On the hand there are a few people that work there who are amazing with the infants and toddlers, they work very hard, but don't get the recognition they deserve. They were the reason why we stayed the time we could. The facility is in a great location, is maintained well, and has a positive atmosphere. Needs more volunteers to put a good shine on it and promote the day care's potential.
