Stopped for a quick play before headed to the airport. There is a big pirate shipThat was tons of fun. The big hit was the monkey bars. The kids said it was the funnest park ever. It had rained so everything was wet but it was still fun!

Such a fun park! My two year old daughter was a big fan. Plenty of picnic areas and lots of playground to play on. We even saw a cute squirrel!

I found this park clean, in good repair, and to have sufficient apparatuses to keep my kid entertained for a solid 30-45 minutes. There are multiple slides (none very large), climbing ladders and ropes, toddler and child sized swings, and a fun wooden castle structure with towers, hidey-holes, and tunnels. There is a smaller play area for toddlers, as well, that has a fun rocking platform, slides, and a crawl tunnel.Surrounding the play equipment were several hills of grass and trees full of brazen squirrels that we loved following. This weekday morning there were 3 or 4 families present and 50-60% of them were wearing masks, adults and children.

This is a darling playground made of wood with several towers, slides, and even a wooden boat. There are several features for smaller kids, but this playground is geared for kids who can climb and use monkey bars. We has fun playing here. The kid I was with loved the swing and the moving bridges and platforms.

I remember when Rainbow City was new in Davis, and it was a treat to be able to bring my little one to the area to play here too. Like the other review stated, I think this is a good spot for probably elementary-aged children more than toddler/preschool age. We visited during the summer too, and one of the summer camps had children running all around the place. It wasn't the experience we were hoping for when we planned a play-date with two not-quite-2-year-olds. Luckily, there is a great smaller park just up the hill that seems much more fit for younger children, like ours. We ended up going there to play.Rainbow City does have a good assortment of structures to climb and play on. They are wooden, but not splintery. There are boats, towers, etc. Lots of room to run and play a good game of hide-and-seek. The area with the swings has mulch on the ground and the wooden structures are surrounded by sand. There are also LOTS of picnic tables across the bike path near the Art Center and several wooden benches within the playground area too.Overall, I think this is a great park for big kids -- maybe we'll try again in a few years!

Clean, quiet, and big. This park is a hidden gem. My daughter and I stopped here simply by accident while driving from Sacramento to San Francisco and it was one of the highlights from our trip. Area is well maintained, play structures are unique and the park itself is plenty big for everyone to enjoy!
