Rafa's Mexican Food

Great little taco trailer at the gas station that makes some tasty food with many happy repeat customers present to help confirm to the first timer that this is indeed a legitimate place to grab some great food. The folks running rafas are extremely helpful and friendly. Lastly, and most importantly, with this being a taco trailer and all, the ambience was exceptional.

I returned to this stationary food trailer at a gas station because my first experience was really great... but WON'T be back!I ordered a Pastor Pork Burrito with no beans and I ordered a bean, cheese and green sauce burrito. I did not look at the menu, I just asked and the older woman took my order, which I repeated before paying. She asked for cash payment and I obliged. With tip, it came to $15.00!I waited about 10 minutes to get my order but it only had one burrito. I asked about which one was it and she said the pastor one. I asked where is my bean burrito and she looked at the receipt, that I did not receive and said you did not pay for 2 burritos. This turned into a 3-minute debate over her agreeing I asked for the bean burrito but I did not pay for it. Ultimately, I asked if she was willing to loose a returning customer over her mistake and she said, that's up to you.The KICKER. I got home and unwrapped the burrito to add salsa and it was diced sausage with gristle and fat, BEANS which I asked them to hold, no rice, no guacamole, no pica gallo and a white cream cheese mixture. I was starving so only ate half of it.Wrap Up: Poor to bad customer service, greedy owner, got only a tortilla from what I asked for and was over charged.By Pass this little trailer in a parking lot!!!

Craving a breakfast burrito this morning before grocery shopping. We were in the Natomas area and decided to check out Rafa's for the first time. Located in a shopping center next to a Shell gas station. It has been at this location for a long time and that always says a lot! You can just park next to the little trailer and order at the window! Staff were friendly as well! There was no line and the food came out pretty fast -- nice and hot! We ordered the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito and the chorizo smelt so good while they were cooking it. Loaded with potatoes, cheese, eggs and a bit of sour cream. It got a little greasy and messy towards the end, but it is a big burrito and was easily shared between 2 of us in the car before grocery shopping! I'm glad we stopped here and not the taqueria near by - check out Rafa's!

I love coming here for Mexican food!! It has one of the best asada fries in my opinion. Plus the prices are reasonable. I usually park right next to it since it's literally by the Shell gas station. I don't recommend the horchata, but the burritos, 4 mini tacos, and asada fries are delicious!! Super convenient and fast if you're on the go too.

For as long as Rafa's has been around, I've known their carne asada fries were some of the best in town. Recently I got some and also picked up their 4 mini tacos and it's all as good as I remember. Anyone I've ever ordered from here has been super nice as well. Give them a try if you haven't already, you won't regret it!

Never again! I wanted a chorizo or Carne Asada enchilada, but they were out of Carne Asada and chorizo both. I ordered a shredded beef and cheese enchilada. I ordered cheese enchiladas quite often and I have never had a cheese enchilada with basic bag shredded cheese inside. This place is not any cheaper than other restaurants and you do not get chips and salsa here.

I've driven by this trailer parked in front of the Shell Station in the Bel Air Natomas Park shopping center for years. There has always been people in line so I figured I should check them out. I ordered the 4 mini tacos (street tacos) for a measly $10.50. The carnitas had good flavor but were a little on the dry side. Based on the tacos aline Rafa definitely serves up decent Mexican food. Give them a try if you're in the area.

You're crazy if you don't at least try this out! It's a little food truck in a Shell gas station parking lot and the quality is beyond amazing. I get it... A food truck? In a gas station parking lot? But it's true! It's quality food, reasonably priced and really really good.As Americans we're trained to expect quality food from a restaurant inside a building that looks fantastic but charges a lot of money. Lay aside your prejudices, and give this place a shot.

Fuck this place.. I ordered a breakfast burrito with just potatoes eggs n cheese and it was 11 bucks and SMALL as fuck... huge tortillas wrapped around 2-3 times. The prices definitely don't match the menu board.. and Mexican spots that use French fries as the potatoes in their breakfast burritos are just lazy
