We dined at their old location about a dozen times now and love their food and staff. This is our first time to the new, Roseville Galleria location, and boy what a change they've made. They went from fancy and cozy, to chic, almost Vegas-like. It's absolutely beautiful inside. For our first visit to the new and freshly remodeled location, I decided on the Chef's Table Experience. This exclusive, off menu, culinary delight, gives the chefs a way to express their creativity and culinary skills. The Chef's Table is $229pp and located right in front of the kitchen's window. This gives you and guest(s) the best seat in the house to witness the "heart" of the restaurant's operation and success. The menu is Chef's choice, made with the freshest and most likely, local ingredients. This is what we had:Halibut and Scallop Crudo - citrus aguachileThis was amazingly fresh and not fishy at all. My wife doesn't eat raw fish, so I had both portions of this after she tried a tiny piece. I guess the texture wasn't there for her, but I sure enjoyed it!Grilled Hearts of Romaine - parmigiano reggiano / balsamic vinaigrette / pine nutsThis tasted great with the acidic balsamic, earthy pine nuts and char.Garlic Cheese Loaf - garlic / cheese / parsley / aged balsamic / chili flakes / evooThis is our simple GOTO item on the menu. We always have to have this, especially since Rio City Cafe closed down. Simple, yet wonderful and comforting. A must have to start your meal here.Black Linguine Truffle Pasta - white borchii truffle cream sauceThis was simply amazing! Please add this to the regular menu. It was rich, creamy and tasted like a million bucks!!Surf and Turf - Durham Ranch American Wagyu Flat Iron Steak and Sweet Gulf Water Shrimp with Jonah Crab ClawsThis steak was melt in your mouth BUTTER! So tender, flavorful and cooked to a perfect medium-rare. The shrimp was poached perfect and complimented will with the crab claws. You can't go wrong with this combination!!Opera Torte - almond / coffee buttercream / ganacheThis was layered with many textures from the bits of almonds. to the creamy ganache and buttercream to the crust. Almost sinful. This is a GEM! You can't go wrong with anyting on the menu. And this Chef's Table experience was an amazing experience. Being able to try Chef Q's creative offmenu items was definitely a night to remember. Make your reservation NOW!!

Located at the Roseville Galleria. Had a nice dinner with my husband and another couple. The restaurant is nicely decorated and we were sat at a smallish table with comfy chairs. A bigger table would have worked better but it was okay. Great service. Never really waited or needed anything. I had the artichoke beignets to start. They were good. Breaded fancy artichoke dip. My husband had the beef and blue. Little pieces of steak with blue cheese. Hubby gave them a thumbs up. Another person is our party got the black eye Hummus and it was excellent. She had to order more pita chips but the dip was fab. For the main I had the meatloaf. It was really good. Tende and flavorful. I was full at the end even after sharing both of my orders. I wish everything came out cooking "hot". Nothing was cold but nothing was hot. My husband had the seared scallops which were very tender and good. Only wine. They are working on the liquor license. For some reason no beer. All of which is a shame as There's a beautiful bar in the middle of the restaurant. There's a private area in back for parties. All in all. A good meal. A little pricey but I don't feel unjust for quality of food and atmosphere. I still wish food was hotter.

Loudness: 90 decibels at bar; 80 decibels at an outside table by the opened sliding glass door. 90 is equivalent to standing near a food processor; 80 equivalent to standing near a lawn mower. 5:00 PM on a Saturday night. Restaurant and patio seating entirely full. I'll start with everything that pleased us and end with some other thoughts. There were two of us dining. We made our reservation about two weeks out, and our only seating options given were for 5:00 or 8:30. The food was delicious and imaginative. We ordered lots of small plates. Shareable Fried Okra. Fried Lobster Bites. Dry Aged Lamb Wellington. Bourbon Chicken Lollipops. Every single bite was delicious!!! The fried okra perfectly fried. No okra slime! The Lamb Wellington melted in our mouths. Server said the lamb was prepared sous vide before turned into the Wellington. Amazing. The Fried Lobster Bites a standout. And the chicken pops perfectly cooked. Some growing pains that they're working through. No cocktails. Only have a license for wine. However, they will graciously cork your own bottle at no cost. Despite having a reservation, we still had to wait for about 20 minutes to be seated. That could be on us, as I don't know if when my friend made the reservation it asked for indoor/outdoor seating and what she chose. When we arrived, it was so loud inside that we asked to be seated outside. Unfortunately we were seated right at the open slider so we only had minimal reprieve from the loudness. The decor is elegant and chic. Unfortunately, they're embracing the current dining trend of hard surfaces, high ceilings and cavernous interiors, which becomes a loud echo chamber once multiple folks are seated. Unfortunately the live jazz music only added to the din of the entire restaurant.

The service was good initially, and the food ranged from "okay to good." The ambiance was nice, but there were a few areas where I felt the experience could have been better. The Good: * Friendly staff * Flavorful steak * Great appetizers (Brussel sprouts, Caesar salad, lobster bites, and bone marrow)The Not-So-Good: * Forgotten items handled casually after being ordered, which felt a bit dismissive. * The steak, ordered medium rare, came out undercooked & closer to rare. I ended up finishing it on the skillet at home. * When we inquired about the third dessert, the person tending to drinks checked with our server, and their reaction seemed unprofessional ("oh shit!" vibes). This could have been handled more discreetly. These little missteps left me feeling uncertain about returning. While there were some highlights, the overall experience felt uneven. Unfortunately for the price point, our experience could have been a lot better. PS - gratuity was automatically included in the tab

My family raved about this restaurant and we decided to have a meal for my grandpas birthday. We had reservations and were seated within pretty quickly. The inside is gorgeous, with a large open bar and flat screens. We were sat at a booth and welcomed quickly. Their menu is fairly extensive with great comfort food options. We waited around 40 minutes for the entrees to arrive and the refills felt long awaited. We ordered the garlic bread which is SO YUMMY and cheesy. I ordered the crispy shrimp and grits. The shrimp were perfectly crunchy and a little spicy which I loved. The grits were very soft and almost mashed potato like, this isn't my preference in grits texture but overall still a great dish. I am definitely open to visiting again and trying more of their menu!

1/2/2025. Hubby made a reservation at 6PM. Surprised me for my birthday. Wonderful =) Walked in and was greeted kindly right away. I already knew their customer service would be impeccable! Had to wait a few minutes cause they had to make sure our table was ready. The lady slowly walked us to our table. I loved how we were at the corner and only had one table next to us. Chic ceiling curtain for privacy. Beautiful cutlery , and a fancy lamp. Aesthetics of this restaurant is divine. They even have an elegant bar section. Ooo fine dining! We were greeted by our server, Roberto. I think he had a nickname but I forgot. He memorized every thing in the menu. Awesome recommendations! Very friendly and quite funny, as well. His hospitality was SUPERB!//APPETIZERS:3/5 stars Nueske Pork Belly Tidbits $20+Maple glazed/fennel and apple slaw.- Reminded me of thick crispy bacon with bbq sauce. I prefer eating this with rice vs. the apple slaw it came with. I can't take sour, so the slaw was a bit too sour for me. Not too salty. Flavorful! 3/5 Q1227 Fried Lobster Bites $28+Creole remoulade/maldon sea salt/chopped parsley- Juicy, tender lobster. Crispy batter. Batter was too salty for me. I prefer to taste the lobster. I couldn't tell if it was shrimp or lobster.//ENTREES:3/5 stars Pan Seared Scallops $48+Crab hash cake/sautéed spinach/garlic beurre blanc- I love how tender the scallop was, but over all entree was too salty for my liking. I love a chef that can bring out the authentic flavor of each ingredient and still have harmony. 2/5 Chef Q's Jambalaya $42+Andouille sausage/chicken/shrimp/crab legs/clams/mussels/spicy tomato broth/salmon trim/saffron rice- The saffron rice was delicious! The seafood has gone bad?! It tasted and smelled "too seafood-y", so the seafood was for sure not fresh, is slightly going to go bad or is bad already. It just didn't taste right. The smell stuck to my fingers for a long time.//DESSERT:5/5 stars Sorbet $8+- PHENOMENAL. Star of the show! Haven't had a sorbet in forever. Fruit's weren't sour. Delicious! I'm pretty sure it really depends on the chef that is cooking that day and the quality of some of their ingredients like their seafood. Gut feeling was masking the entrees with a lil bit more salt because ingredients were about to go bad??? Idk???I was going to give this restaurant 3/5 stars but OUR SERVER, ROBERTO WAS PHENOMENAL! He's very knowledeable of the menu. He memorized the menu by heart!!! He checked up on us to make sure we were ok. He brought out my Happy Birthday treat and sang a quick Happy Birthday song. It was cute!!! The busboy was working diligently. ALL THE STAFF HERE WERE VERY HELPFUL, SO OVER ALL 4/5 STARS. Happy eat's ya'll =)

I really hate to do this. The food and the service are truly unmatched. But I cannot comprehend how this restaurant not only doesn't serve cocktails- they don't even serve beer anymore! When you come to a restaurant like this I'm sure 90% of people that do drink, are expecting to drink with their meal. ONLY offering wine is a bizarre choice. I'm fully aware they didn't have their liquor license and are in the process of transferring over from the old location- but going from only serving beer and wine to only serving wine is perplexing. I think what made it worse was the answers we were met with when we asked about it. "The chef wants you to focus on the food" (I call BS- no business owner wants to make LESS money by not serving alcohol) "we've been operating like this since October" (why would you advertise that?) "we can't serve beer with the license just wine" (that's a flat out lie). Honesty would have been better than having the servers make up excuses. I kind of felt bad for them having to say these things when they weren't believable. It's a shame because the food is SO good. But when you come here for date night expecting an experience and your husband who doesn't drink wine is left with the options of wine or water.... It's giving lack luster. I mean come on- they even serve beer at dive Mexican restaurants I'm just having a really hard time believing they can't pull that off here. We won't be back until they get their liquor license figured out. I'd rather go some where that the food is slightly less phenomenal and be able to get what we want to drink. Disappointing.

Came to have a late Valentine's Day dinner. Had no corkage fee for the bottle of wine that we brought. Started with the lobster bites. They were delicious. I had the beef Wellington with mashed potatoes and broccolini. It was all very good. The broccolini is cooked differently than I've had at any other restaurant. Finished with the brownie and the peach cobbler. My fiance loved the brownie. The peach cobbler was okay. Was more of a healthy version in my opinion.

Our server, Malik was very professional and personable. He made us feel very relaxed and welcome. Timely in his service and attentive. The food did not disappoint. We ordered Jambalaya andand the short rib. Lovely presentation. Overall just a wonderful dining experience. Only knock for us was, if you get a booth the lighting is bright for a romantic evening. Also they do not have a liquor license as of yet however they can serve house wines. Also they will cork your bottles of wine if you bring it in.
