Q & R BBQ

Well you look at my picture's and they will tell u a story. I only give 1 or 2 stars if closed and it says open or I've had a really bad experience. So in this case i will follow my moms saying ( if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all) .

Great place! Sweet, tangy bbq sauce with a hint of citrus. I had the hot links and the tangy sauce faded into the spice of the links. Really nice. Comfortable. Felt like visiting a friends house. The cook is the only one there, and he was perfect. Highly recommend!

A salute to this BBQ spot!! The tri-tip is absolutely amazing and make sure you get the potato salad and corn bread!!!!

Stopped by here for the 2nd time yesterday. First time had the ribs, this time tried the fried catfish. Ribs were excellent, nice and smoky, meaty and tender. Love the bbq sauce. The catfish was so good too, three big pieces with a crispy cornmeal crust. The sides are good too but they come in small styrofoam containers that could be bigger. I felt like a barely got a taste of the collard greens. Otherwise, would definitely recommend I'll be back for sure.

This is the kind of precious, local, "hole-in-the-wall" place that gives you the most authentic and delicious food you can imagine. Value: 5 Taste: 5 Service: 5 Experience/Ambience: 4 It's cash-only, and the menu rotates a tiny bit depending on what's in stock (like they may only have pork ribs that day, or their sides might be different depending on the season). It's the opposite of fancy, but in a great way. The only real downside is that they don't sell their sauces to take home! Gentrifiers, stay away! All others welcome.

I ordered the name sake special and it had sliced pork, Tri tip, ribs, chicken, and hot links. It was $30 but it was a lot of food. I made a small dent in it. Other than it had too much BBQ sauce for my taste it was amazing. The sauce was good just more than I prefer. People were polite and food came pretty fast considering. I'm glad I had cash because that's all they take. I highly recommend giving it a try. No seating so you have to take it to go.

I have been coming here off and on now for about 7 years because I met the owners wife at bingo and she told me about their restaurant. I love bbq and hot links are a favorite. I have noticed in the last year or two that the food quality and accuracy of my simple order has slipped. At first I thought maybe they were busy and forgot what I ordered for my side dish because the employees seemed new. I am beginning to think they just don't care any more and will either not put it in the bag or just give you something random. Even the hot link sandwich I got today had almost no bbq sauce and the links were definitely 2 different brands/types as well as cold even though I just ordered it. Asked for mac and cheese, got cold green beans with potato. Might be time to give up on Q&R.

The work crew stopped here for lunch. Out of 4 orders. None were correct. It took 45 minutes to get the food.... finally the meat was right but the sides were still wrong. We just gave up. Had to get back to work. The fish was the only good thing. The sandwich and tri tip were thrown away. The food was drowned in sauce and way too hot. Nothing was pulled off the grill. It was clearly microwaved. The total was $90 and approximately $80 worth of food was thrown away. On the way back to work the co workers are still complaining. Save your time and money and go to MOMOs.

Saw the awesome sign out front and had to pull over. Best decision of my life. We got a loaded plate with ribs chicken hot links tri tip WITH MAC AND CHEESE ‍ that wasMake sure to go and say hello to Mr. Q!!!

Oh boy...where do I start. I wanted to like this place but whoever is running this establishment may need to look into a few thing. Like the hours which are very different from what is listed online, this needs to be consistent. The next is the website needs to be updated.The prices are wayy different than what is on the website.The last thing, while cash is king, there needs to be up to date payment methods . I think if a few things are tweaked this could lead to more positive experience for potential customers.
