Headed home from the Sacramento Airport and Yelp took us here. Wow, really cool place. I will definitely be back. The hostess and server, Kylee, met us at the door. Great personality. Funny, kind and a super server.I had the Sausage in a Bun. I chose the Brat and it was perfect. I really enjoyed the mustard and mustard seed they put on it. And the freakin' fries. My God, the best fries I have ever had. Homemade with some crispy ones mixed in. I absolutely loved them as did my wife.My wife had the Pork Schnitzel Sandwich. Giant piece of pork cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. She topped that with a Paulaner Hefe Weizen which she really enjoyed.

For those that are not aware Prost opens at 10am on Sundays for brunch. The menu is small but tasty. We ordered stuffed French toast, corn beef hash, and you know your girl had to get a pretzel. Brunch was delish but I would have ordered more protein knowing the French toast doesn't come with anything else. Pro tip: There is street parking and a lot a block away. Sunday mornings the street is pretty empty Every-time we go my daughter brings an outside beverage without an issue since they don't have hot chocolate for the kiddos.

Tried the Beer Hall because of a coworkers recommendation. The beer selection was really extensive, and we picked a German classic that didn't disappoint. We got a couple food items. The pretzel is definitely the star of the show, you could just order 4 of them and have a great time with some beers. We also tried the haus fries which were delicious, nice saurkraut and pork on top. We tried the cottage pie and that was certainly the weak spot. Being Irish I always try a cottage pie in restaurants and sadly nobody around here knows how to make it well. Needed more salt and pepper at the least. That's my only drawback and certainly a nitpick. Comfortable ambiance, Raul was a great server and more than courteous and accommodating. Clean and definitely a nice addition to the sleepy old Elk Grove strip.

I totally love this place and also appreciate the fact that the owners took it over and renovated it as it was much needed in Old Town EG. We came in for a drink or two. WeDecided to sit at the bar since we had already had dinner. Every single bartender at the bar was efficient friendly and super nice which we loved. I even got a chance to chat with the GM Lucas who delivered our fries. Super friendly. They have a good assortment of drinks. The pretzel is so yummy and the cheese sauce delicious. The mustard they offered is also sooo good, the fries are so good too. Will definitely be back for dinner.

It is a fantastic spot! We ordered beer and a pretzel, and both were absolutely delicious. The beer was perfectly chilled and flavorful, and the pretzel was warm, soft, and paired perfectly with the dipping sauces. The vibe is laid-back and fun, definitely a great place to hang out.

Lousy service! Rude service! Mediocre bland food! Nice service walls and vintage decor. Would not go again

Continues to be a great spot for delicious German inspired food. Best schnitzel in the Elk Grove/Sacramento area. My only wish is for some 2 seater tables.

We took my parents here for lunch today and were not disappointed. We started with the baked Brie, pretzel and croquettes. All delicious! For lunch, we ordered chicken salads, sausage and schnitzel sandwiches with fries. Everything was delicious! Very nice restaurant. Classy but still casual. Our server was sweet and fun. She actually made conversation with us! They were also very attentive with refills and clearing our table. We will definitely go again if we are in the area.

We happened upon Prost one day while we were running errands and wanted to take a break. So happy when we get to spontaneously drop in somewhere, especially when it turns out to be a great visit! We dropped in about 30 minutes before the lunch menu ended and got some happy hour drinks and bites. Our server was so funny, I want to go back just to talk to her again. The beer cheese is so good and the stone ground mustard served with the pretzel almost started a fight with my husband over who got to finish it! Honestly, do not pass up a chance to come visit Prost in the cutest part of Elk Grove.

Great food, spirits and service in old town Elk Grove. Authentic German dishes and the big pretzel app is a must! Nice to see the site of the old EG brewery still alive and well.
