We started at this school in December 2024. The teachers are awesome and the kids learn jiujitsu moves and are very positive and encouraging to each other.

I wanted to get into a martial art, and jiu jitsu was something I had previously heard about. This place was recommended by a friend, so I came to check it out. I was welcomed by coach Chad and he answered all the questions I had. Once I started, they offer a solid number of classes to choose from. The fundamentals classes are awesome, and the "advanced" classes are great as well! Both gi and no gi. The coaches are humble, knowledgeable, and friendly. Coach Liz, Kelsey, Chad, Sarah, and others are truly masters of the art who enjoying teaching it too. It has been over 2 years and this place continues to keep a culture that is inviting and supportive to help each other grow. I would recommend this gym to anyone wanting to get into jiu jitsu or looking for a new gym!

I was visiting one of my best friends (Wyatt) and wanted to train with him for a day at his academy. I went to an afternoon class and was welcomed with open arms and given a free trail for the evening. The class was awesome and I would come back anytime! I highly recommend!

My teenage son has been coming here for a little over a year for Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training. As a father, my thought process was to have him enrolled in a martial art that is effective standing up and on the ground because the high school he's enrolled at as an incoming 9th grader has a reputation for school fights occurring on a frequent basis. The IB program is, however, awesome which is why he's there. As a matter of fact, my son told me the other day that he already saw his second fight in the first month into his school year! A male student was "jumped" by several other students. Because of my son's physique and tall height for his age, he gets mistaken for a young adult. Nonetheless, he trains with the grownups and couldn't enjoy it any better. He's thankful for the camaraderie in the adult class for both BJJ and Muay Thai. Everyone is supportive and is willing to impart their knowledge to my son. The instructors, DJ and Chad, are also awesome and extremely knowledgeable. My son soaks it up like a sponge and looks forward to training. If his attempts at de-escalation fails at least my son has the tools to succeed whether it'd be at school or anywhere else in protecting himself, his two sisters, his mom, and maybe even me. This is all made possible by Precision.

Precision Jiu-Jitsu Academy might have a laid-back atmosphere, but beneath the surface, there is a toxic culture that stems from the top down. The head coach and owner comes across as charming and personable, but his actions tell a different story. He knows how to say the right things to make people think he cares, but behind closed doors, it's clear that he doesn't. Gossip is common, and he has been overheard speaking negatively about students to those he is close to something no coach should be doing.During live rolling, he often sits on the side of the gym on his phone, occasionally paying attention but rarely engaging with or coaching his students. His lack of presence and involvement shows he isn't truly invested in his students' growth, despite trying to portray himself as a dedicated coach. If you're looking for a gym where the instructor genuinely cares about their students' development and well-being, this may not be the right place.

Precision Jiu-Jitsu Academy is not what it markets itself to be. While the main instructor is good at talking and selling the academy, his actions don't reflect genuine care for his students. He puts in just enough effort to maintain appearances, but when it really counts, like supporting students at local competitions, he is noticeably absent.A truly great coach leads by example, invests in their students' growth, and stands by them in both training and competition. Unfortunately, that level of dedication is lacking here. If you're looking for an academy where the coach genuinely cares and is present for their students, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

I initially thought this gym had a positive and welcoming environment, but after spending more time here, I realized there's a facade that masks a very different reality. The head coach has made disturbing comments, including racially insensitive remarks such as generalizing that "anyone south of the border is a Mexican." This is not just an isolated slip but part of a pattern of offhand, ignorant statements that make it clear there's underlying prejudice in the culture here.Additionally, there is constant behind-the-scenes gossip. I've personally witnessed the head coach speak negatively about one of his own black belts, belittling him and then trying to play it off as a joke. This creates an undermining, toxic atmosphere rather than a place of genuine growth and respect.Ultimately, this gym sells itself well on the surface, but once you're in, it's clear that the priority is keeping people paying rather than fostering a truly respectful and inclusive community. If you're looking for a place that values integrity, respect, and professionalism, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

The gym is top tier. The instruction is excellent, placing great emphasis on attention to detail. The athletes at this gym are world class and yet there's always space for newcomers. The fundamentals classes in particular are a great way for novices and veterans alike to hone in on the pillars of jiu jitsu.
