Incredibly flavorful and delicious! I hadn't tried Indian food before, and a good friend recommended this place. SO glad I went. Lots of plant based options, and the menu has clear descriptions and lots of pictures for people like me who have no clue what I'm ordering. Honestly though, it feels like you could just order anything blindly off the menu and it would be absolutely delicious. The service was so friendly, ambiance was calm and good for a relaxing sit down meal on a Sunday, and we left looking forward to our next visit.

Took the BWE out for dinner and felt the need for some tikka in my life. I ordered the chicken tikka masala (medium) and the dal along with a plain porotta. BWE ordered the goat curry (medium spice).Service was quick and efficient. BWE has some food allergies so we have to be careful when we order particularly at places where they might use nuts or milk in their recipes. Our server was very kind and patient about it and pointed out what would be the best dish for BWE.This place has a quiet vibe with the Indian music playing and tv screens playing videos. I enjoyed it. I was reminded of our time in Pune except that the food is southern Indian food. The dishes I had were outstanding. The tikka masala was super flavorful with all the tasty Indian spices. The medium spice is, in my opinion, a notch under medium so I probably could have gotten a little more heat added but it was very good. The dal, to my pleasant surprise, had some heat as well. The star of the meal is the porotta. How can I explain the flaky yet chewy goodness that is the porotta? It is a must when you have a meal here. All in all we loved Porottas and will be back here!

We popped by for lunch and were delighted! We tried the masala dosa, idli, and kothu porottas. Everything was flavorful and the whole family walked away full and happy. Would totally return again.

Dosas are very yummy here but they don't provide much of the sauces, I always end up paying for more. Overall good place

Excellent South Indian food. Came by enroute to the riverside and stopped by for some delicious lunch. The biryani was soft and well marinated and cooked. Idly was nice. Onion uttappam was crisp and well done as well. Finally, they topped it off with piping hot masala tea. Would definitely visit again if I am in this area

I really loved this restaurant when it first opened but unfortunately over time the quality diminished. The dosas aren't as crisp and the biryani is less flavorful. It's conveniently located though so will likely be back for some take out on a lazy weekend in hopes of improvement.

Delicious Indian food with a very interesting slant because it's Southern Indian cuisine. I have never had several of the dishes we tried and everything was wonderful. Butter chicken and chicken tikka masala (both 8.5/10) were great. The masala was made with bell peppers, which was unusual in my experience. But still good. The butter chicken was out of this world. And... get this.... "Very mild please" was actually mild!!! No one ever gets that right! Naan was delicious, as was the Porottas (think flat butter croissant). We had the cauliflower in Manchurian sauce appetizer. Super yummy, almost had the flavor of a sweet and sour Chinese dish, and their "not spicy" was definitely spicy. I'm for sure not an Indian heat gal. The server was lovely, helpful in explaining the menu, didn't complain or hover obnoxiously when we were the last ones there as they closed for lunch. Prices were moderate and reasonable for the portions and quality. This is the best Indian I have found since moving here a year ago!

The idlis were very good, soft and fluffy and sambar was also great. I am mixed on the hot and sour soup which felt like a soy sauce basesd broth. The tandoori roti was also fresh and hotGood overall but on the expensive side for Indian food

Love the range of offerings on the menu, quite different from other Indian restaurants in this area--for example, the namesake porottas. They also have idli and dosa, which again we haven't seen anywhere else. Chicken dishes always come out a bit dry for my taste, but my husband is the one ordering them and likes them just fine. Service is usually friendly and efficient, sometimes a little forgetful--occasionally have to ask for something more than once. Very helpful that they drop off a carafe of water for you to refill yourself (I know some people don't like that, but I love not having to wait even a minute to refill my water).
