Very good brisket sandwich. I might go skiing again as an excuse to go here. I am usually picky with meat, but it was great.

Collard greens and brisket absolutely amazing and what an absolutely adorable bartender! I felt completely at ease and comfortable going in there. It's 73 years of age. There was only one out of wine, crazy customer.

poppy's Bar &Q is classic bbq in Folsom, CA, its the real deal! live music, non alcoholic beers and succulent BBQ meats! a bit pricey but very tasty.

Nice bar-style atmosphere, with multiple TVs to watch sports. Ordered the brisket, so tender and an easy 10. The ribs were seasoned well and fall-off-the-bone tender too..a 10. Three different sauces to choose from but preferred the Red. Cole slaw was very fresh and tasted great. Poppy helped us and was spot on with great service.

Loving the new ownership here! Bar and wait staff are on point, my drink has never been empty, and my food has always been fresh and quick to the table. Will be going back all the time for the foreseeable future

I hate rating so low, especially since the cook is wonderful super nice and delicious food. Been here a few times this last time we had a young female bartender that just didn't check on us at all waited until I went outside to see if my fiancé needed another beer if you're looking for a quick place to get a good bite definitely recommend but...don't come for the service. Also, they charge for fries with your burger....

Outstanding BBQ, melt in your mouth brisket, delicious wings, both the potato and macaron salad were good - very plain, but tasty. Service was excellent, drinks were good, variety was appreciated! Waitress said new ownership was fairly new. Restaurant / bar was clean and spacious. We appreciated the football game audio piped into the bathrooms.

I just had the brisket sandwich. I was killer. I'm going to order a 1/2 pound of brisket with the Cole slaw for dinner tonight. I eat a ton of barbecue and I love brisket. These guys have dam good brisket. The guy next to me said they have incredible wings. I'd get those also but then that might be too much. Maybe not.

Went here two days in a row at lunch time and what a fun new little spot! The bartender Bre was so sweet and attentive. The chef came out and asked if we liked our food (we did!). We had the brisket, mac n cheese, potato salad, wings and mozzarella sticks. The brisket was so tender and flavorful! Wings were smoked and crispy and juicy and the sides were full of flavor and not sweet like a lot of bbq places. We will definitely be back to make this cute little spot one of our regulars.

Great service from the minute we opened the door and walked in. I had a cheese burger and fries and both were good. The drinks were perfect! The Bartender Chelsea, was great and made it a fun place to have lunch, we left Poppy's full and happy- I would come back and recommend to friends.
