The perfect place for date night. We always get the feast. This time we got the non-veg feast. It included butter chicken, peas and cheese, chickpeas, tandoori chicken, sausage, naan, and dessert, rice pudding. I love the dessert, it's so refreshing after the meal. The naan was the freshest we have had. It was so soft. I love the butter chicken. I slop up the sauce with my naan. We find the feast enough to feed 2 for $24 or the veg feast for $19. We even have food to take home. I see other people who order for themselves the feast. Maybe they are extra hungry or live for leftovers. If you love Indian food you must give this restaurant a try. They have a private lot with more parking in back. They also have a banquet hall. The temperature is just right right inside no matter the weather outside. I like that they give you a pitcher of water so you can refill your own cups if things get too spicy. We order our meals mild and it really comes out pretty mild. They remodeled and now have a new dessert case out front. One day I'd like to try some of them. Maybe I should get a different one each time I come so I can try them all.

Amazing vegetarian lunch buffet selection! They have so many vegetarian options and everything is so delicious! Complimentary naan is provided. They have various dessert options including mango ice cream and chai tea! I loved their chai tea and drank at least 4 cups! Highly recommend - affordable and delicious! I will definitely be back again!

It's been many, many years since I've been to Pooja. I've been wanting to get some Indian food, and so we came here on a Monday for lunch. You can either order off the menu or choose the buffet; we wanted to have the lunch buffet. They will bring water and naan to your table. They have about about 15 items to choose from for their buffet. I am not an expert on Indian food, so I tend to just try a bit of every dish. Chai tea is one of my favorite things to drink, so I particularly love this buffet because it is included. They also have a mango soft serve ice cream for dessert. Their selection is great, the food is tasty, and the buffet is a good price as well.

Time to get happy as their lunch buffet is back!We have come here many times and were disappointed when they said they were not going to bring back the buffet after the pandemic restrictions were lifted but... NEW OWNERS! Yes, they took over a few months ago and brought back the lunch buffet. The new buffet is much like the previous owners, a little smaller but just as tasty. Many meat, vegetarian, and vegan dishes to chose from. I love their goat curry, I could eat just it with naan. If you have ever wanted to try Indian (middle-east) food, this is the way to go and it's 100% delicious with great service.

Kajar ka halwa sooo goood. Great ambience, good seating. Friendly staff who bring the free naan right away for buffets. Worth the visit to try Indian food for the first time in this wide option lay out.Free parking right outside.

Lunch buffet is back in business, baby! I'd never been when the buffet was active before Covid -- my job moved to West Sacramento in February 2020 so by the time I discovered Pooja they were only doing the Thali lunch options. Came in for lunch on a Tuesday with Judi M. and left thoroughly stuffed.Lunch Buffet round 1 plate was all veg. Can't remember every item but there was definitely biryani, saag paneer, lentils, eggplant, cauliflower, chickpeas, samosa, paneer pakora, veggie pakora, naan, and the crispy thin papadums. Lunch Buffet round 2 plate was non-veg: rice, butter chicken, goat curry, chicken tandoori, tikka masala, fish pakora...Lunch Buffet round 3 was desserts: chai tea, carrot cardamom halwa, rice pudding, and mango lassi ice cream soft serve. No gulab jamun, unfortunately. For under $20 per person, this is a great deal. Be sure to come hungry!

Just finished devouring everything! I haven't had Pooja in so long and it is still as good as I remember! The place is huge, and there is plenty of room! The service was fast and the ladies were very nice! We got mango lassi and hot chai to drink. Hot chai was delicious and mango lassi was smooth and creamy. We got Shahi Paneer and Butter Chicken with garlic Nan. Oh my gosh, the Shahi Paneer was SO SO good! The butter chicken yummy as well! GARLIC NAN ugh, wished I got two more orders! Perfect for dipping! I am already looking forward to coming back! I want to try their lunch buffet next time, so I can try a little bit of everything!

Their AYCE lunch buffet is back! Hurray! We went to lunch at noon on Tuesday. The place was packed. I was surprised it was so busy. But after trying out the food, I knew why. Their lunch buffet offerings were plentiful. They had 4 main entrees: butter chicken, tandoori chicken, fried fish and goat. The butter chicken and fish were very tasty. They had 2 types of rice, 2 types of pakora, 4 vegetable items, 4 desserts, including mango soft serve. They also had a little salad bar and chai tea. When we returned to our table, there was fresh naan waiting for us. We tucked in and really savored our meal. I'm not able to eat really spicy food, and the food wasn't very spicy, but it had a nice heat to it. I definitely broke out in a sweat after finishing my meal and needed to cool it down with mango lassi.Along with the food, the staff were also very friendly. They brought out fresh naan as soon as they saw that your basket was empty. They bussed used plates as soon as you set it aside. While the food and service were excellent, parking sucks, especially during lunch. The restaurant is also older and has wet mold smell. Luckily, they kept the AC blasting so you couldn't really smell it. But I've been to dinner in the past when the AC wasn't blasting and the smell is very noticeable. All in all, I'll definitely be back for the buffet.
