FINALLY! True authentic pizza outside of Italy and really "fatto a mano"!I was shocked to find this place in Placerville of all places. Thank goodness for some decent high quality food. They make all their pizza with the authentic farina 00 (flour) from Italy and it's baked in a beautiful wood fired oven. We brought our Italian friends from Italy here and they even said the pizza was better some of their own pizzerias. Support this place because it elevates El Dorado County. They aren't pretentious or flowery. Norcia is just doing a beautiful simple thing: serving good quality, authentic delicious food to the community and they work hard at what they do with excellent service. Thank you Pizza Norcia!

Well ... I'm back. This time I called in an order for pickup. It was around 5:30pm on a Saturday night. The wood fired oven baked pizzas are just delicious. A bit of Norcia Italy right on the main drag of the little old historic town of El Dorado. The place is modern and comfortable with a chill, casual atmosphere. It's in a beautifully renovated building. I ordered a bambino pizza with pepperoni and green olives. $22. The pizza was baked perfectly this time. Last time it was undercooked with the middle of the pizza having a soft wetish middle. Not this time though. The crust had a beautiful blister and nice soft crisp chew. The castelvetrano olives come from Italy, they have a nice salty, buttery flavor. The pepperoni were little thin slices and when baked, they curled up like little cups with crisp edges and releasing a bit of the greasy tastiness. The pizza had a good number of pepperoni slices. The dining room , with its open wall concept, can get warm in the hot summer months and cold in the winter even with its ceiling fans and heaters.

came here on a Friday night on our way up to Camino to visit friends. It was busy. Our friend told us to order right away because food is taking long. It's one of those order then find a table kinda place. While in line looking at their menu online, I noticed there's a way to place an order online for pick up and it was only 40 mins wait. To skip a few people infront of me, we ordered our food onlineWe got the truffle pizza w prosciutto, the beets salad, an ale and an ipa. The food did take long to be ready but honestly it was worth it. The food was delicious. The beet salad was fresh. The only regret I have is I wish I ordered two pizza to try a different one and wouldn't mind having leftover. The owner ended up showing up to help w the service. He was nice enough to bring us plates for our food (since we ordered online our food came as to go). He also checked up on us a few times which was really nice. If you're in the area, I def recco this place, order your pizza online and get at least two different kind!

This is the best pizza in El Dorado County. Some people say it is expensive, but not really considering the excellent ingredients. You want quality, you need to come try this place.Team here is spot on, they sometimes put too much dressing on the salads so ask for that to be light, if you want less calories. Or prefer just less. They are on a busy road but the inside is cozy and definitely warm and a rainy 3 season night. Not 5 star ambiance by any means, but in El Dorado County that is like 1 out of 100 restaurants, so you can't diss them for something nobody in Eastern California really understands.Competent, friendly and such such good crust. Yes the pizza oven comes from Italy. This place is totally California.

Excellent. Thin crust. Wood fired deliciousness. Kind of hidden location. But worth it. We had a pepperoni and a white type of pizza. Try it.

I mean this is the best kept secret and I was hesitant to tell people about it but I also never want them going out of business. This pizza is so good you couldn't ask for anything more as far as the quality of pizza. Seating in the summer is not good, as it is so hot out. Staff is very nice. My complaints would be the location- parking sucks and as mentioned above, outdoor seating in the summer sucks. Trying to savor my pizza bites but also rushing because the makeup is melting off my face. Maybe hopefully in the future move to a bigger and better spot. Place is a little pricey as well, oh well.
