Pho King Good

Pho King Good is Perfect place to come to after a day in the snow! The ambiance was very warming and the staff are very friendly and welcomed us upon entering. Food ordered: King's Special/Pho Dac Biet, Chicken/Pho Ga, Fattso Rice Noodles, Vermicelli Noodles with Chicken & egg rolls, egg rolls, Vietnamese CoffeeThe quality of our food definitely receives a 10/10 rating. The quantity is also more than plenty. All pho dishes ordered were the Small sizes and it was more than enough for one person. We had leftovers for the noodles dishes and took those home as well. Also, if taking any leftovers, they had a separate table station for to-go supplies that you can do on your own. I would recommend giving this Pho place a try because they live up to their name!

The food is okay. The spouse wanted to try but he should have listened to me and went elsewhere. P3 Pho with rare steak and meatballs: The soup was not piping hot like I am use too. Maybe lukewarm. I could literally cradle the bowl with my hands vs having to hold from the rim. Not enough soup as well. Too much star anise in the broth. You can not miss the fragrance of the star anise which made the soup a little too spicy for my kids.S7 Curry beef noodle. Didn't care for the ramen noodle but the flavor was decent. It reminds me of KaPoon. The beef was soft and tender. C2 Rice plate and we chose grilled chicken and pork. The pork was a tad chewy for my kids. The did like the grilled chicken which is usually the opposite. Hint of lemongrass. The amount of rice is much smaller than other places that I have been too.Eggrolls: The kids gave it a two thumbs down. The reason is most likely the flavor was overpowered with black and white pepper. You could see the black pepper specks inside the egg roll. My son and daughters all said it's too spicy and I thought you were joking but I could taste the black/white pepper. Spring rolls: Wished they wrapped the rolls tighter. One bit and the rest of the roll seems to "fall" apart, the peanut sauce was good though.18% added gratuity and the wait staff didn't even come to check on us. We were just a party of 5. It's getting kind of frustrating when people start adding auto gratuity with parties of 6 or less. Also this is a cash only place.

My bowl of beef noodle soup, aka pho at Pho King Good was awesome! The beef bone broth was clear, flavorful, and tasty. What I like most about my bowl of pho were the perfect broth, the fresh basil/ beansprouts, generous amount of quality rare beef and meatballs. I was happy that the service was fast when the restaurant was busy. The server was friendly, polite, and helpful. The restaurant is spacious, clean, with many cool decors. There are plenty of parking right on the lot. My belly was happy at Pho King Good. Definitely will return to try other options on the menu. Highly recommended it!

My daughter & I were craving Pho on a chilly day. The parking lot was pretty full and so was the dining room, however we found a table for us! Today, we did not get appetizers because we wanted to dance our entire appetite for the best pho-king pho around. We always get the Kings Special in a large so we can eat the rest later on. We always sip on water and we always request a straw. Service is always perfect. As they brought out our side dish of bean sprouts, limes, and basil. We requested no jalapenos (I know, but we just do without!!!) Then came our large King Specials, it didn't have a much cilantro or onions as usual, but that's ok. We were ready to start eating! We sip the broth first and allow our noodles to loosen up a little more. The broth alone is warm, savory and velvety... the rare steak on top gives such gorgeous presentation with the thin slices onions, sprinkle with cilantro and green onions with flank steak and bigpieces of tension peaking through from above. So... in every bite with our spoon, we fill it with broth. Then, we use the chopsticks to put on some noodles, a piece of steak, a piece of tendon, onion, cilantro, basil... and add chili oil, hoison, sriracha, amd last... a squeeze of lime. Ohhhhh LORD was that DELICIOUS! Yes, every single bite with all the flavors combining together to was making our eyes roll. This was better than anything in that one moment... I love how cozy the restaurant is. Everyone inside has smiles on their faces while they indigo in Pho King Good's unique creations... from Amy's Special to their Pho King Good Taco's, this Pho Restaurant stands out is the best way possible!! Had Pho King Good while visiting family in Auburn. The pho was good, broth, meat and veggies all tasted fresh. I believe this is one of two Pho spots in town. I am spoiled in San Jose with great spots, but in Auburn, Pho King Good is satisfying if you need to cure that craving for pho. We had the egg rolls and those tasted solid as well. The service was great and the restaurant was nice and clean.

Nice stop on our way from South Lake Tahoe to SMF. I got the small rare steak and added an extra rib bone. I didnt realize it alreafy came with a rib bone. He ordered the King's pho minus the tendon plus an added rib bone. We also got 4 egg rolls. The rib meat was very tender and a good size. The broth was decent the noodles were clumped togwther at the bottom pretty solid. The chili oil was very tasty and the eggrolls were delicious. Super friendly owners buy pretty rude clientele; Unruly kids and a gross situation in the bathroom.

FOOD- Fried Wonton: 8 cream cheese filled fried wontons. Tasty. We actually got 9 and a half though. Not complaining! 5/5- Hungry Man Rice Platter: Chinese sausage, egg roll, grilled chicken, grilled pork, and a fried egg. Served with steamed rice and pickled vegetables. I had plenty of leftovers. Meat was flavorful. Both grilled chicken and pork has lemongrass, just FYI. I don't love lemongrass so I wish I knew. I would have ordered something else 3.75/5SERVICE: Friendly staff. Some miscommunication or lack of communication though. We asked for veggies on the side but got a side of veggies instead. That cost $3. Also, the server asked my husband if he wanted short rib in his pho, he said yes. That was an additional $7. My husband wouldn't have said yes if he knew the price. FINAL THOUGHTS: The food was good, a little on the pricier side for Vietnamese food but it's kinda expected these days. I would come back to try other items.

Hankering Pho ordered the P3.Steak,meatballs,rice noodles in a savory beef stock. Side plate with jalapeños, bean sprouts,basil. Perfect for a cold day, slightly salty broth, thin sliced beef, fresh rice noodles , delicious. Had the large & I was full & happy. Ken, who runs the counter & and serves, is always positive & friendly. My 2nd visit.I'm coming back to try the calamari.

Very good Pho and their Egg Rolls are soooo tastey! Oh and their Spring Rolls have a YUMMY peanut sauce! Fresh veggies come with most things you order, which is always appreciated!!

Pho king for life. Great service and good.I always leave pho king feeling ver my satisfied. Holly and her husband treat you like a friend.
