Pho City

I was craving Vermicelli Noodles with Grilled Pork for dinner. I had heard about this restaurant from friends so I thought I would try Pho City. The inside is decorated with things from Vietnam. The staff was friendly, and answered my questions. My order was ready in a short amount of time. As I waited, I observed the ambiance and customers. The customers were all engaged in conversations, and joyfully eating. That is a good sign!!!! I loved all the condiments and eating apparel on the tables!!!As I got in the car, we could smell the egg rolls!!! We quickly opened up the to go container, and immediately grabbed them and dipped them in the fish sauce!! Delicious!!! Hot, crispy, and delicious!!! They were accompanied with lettuce, cilantro, daikon and carrots. This was so yummy, we could not wait to get home to eat our other food we ordered!!!!We quickly entered our home, and set up dinner. When I opened the take out container, I was pleasantly surprised to see how they took care in arranging the ingredients to put together the Grilled Pork, Vermicelli Noodles, Peanuts, Daikon and Carrots, Cilantro, Mint, and Shredded Lettuce. The Lettuce, Cilantro, Mint was in a separate bag which I appreciated. I gathered a big bowl to put all the ingredients in then pour the Vinegar Fish Sauce on top. There was plenty of grilled pork!! I tossed the ingredients, and got my ohashi(Chopsticks), ITADAKI MASU!!!!!!! My first bit had grilled pork, vermicelli, lettuce, cilantro, mint, and daikon!!!! Sweet, sour, grilled meat, and crunchy sensation in my mouth!!! Happy, happy, happy!!!! This was a winner for me!!!!!I will definitely add Pho City to my great place to eat list!!!!!

Having grown up in San Jose, I think I could say that I am a pho snob. Didn't think I could find a pho place I liked in sacramento. I was proven wrong. This place is amazing. For sure our favorite place so far. The soup has an amazing flavor and perfectly seasoned. The fresh rice noodles are never over cooked. Meat quality is excellent. Veggies are always fresh. Service is top notch. They are so attentive. I brought my newborn and they sat me in the quieter corner without me even asking. Ambiance is family friendly. Bustling and busy as any great pho restaurant would beHighly recommended!

Best PHO in town! Bang for your buck in terms of price vs. amount of pho you'll get. A large from here is HUGE with lots of pho and meat options. I ordered an extra large my first time here and I didn't realize that it meant you're going to get 2x the bowl and pho. The size definitely surprised me because the size of a large from pho city will are usually extra larges if compared other pho spots. Service could be a tad bit better which is why it's not a full 5 stars. Was also caught off guard that you have to pay up front at the register after eating. This threw me off because restaurants usually give you the bill after.

This restaurant never fails to amaze me. I've been going here for many years and it is absolutely fantastic. The service is great. The ambience is nice and the restaurant is large with a nice big parking lot. They're Asian soups are all excellent and the portions are great. The spring rolls and the salt and pepper calamari is a must try for sure. I highly recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed if you're looking for a great Vietnamese food.

We saw high marks so thought we'd give this place a try. The restaurant is huge, plenty of seats and is pretty clean. It was surprising how long it took to get our food since we just ordered pho. The broth had too much msg and on the salty side. It also not as flavorful as other pho places I've been to. They're generous with their protein. This review is solely on our pho experience.

We ended up here by chance a couple of months ago while getting lost in the area.The spring rolls alone were worth the drive. The grilled pork inside was amazing and flavorful. Outstanding pho as well (combo and meatball).Ambiance was casual and service was excellent.

Now that it is getting colder and the sun sets so fast, I keep craving pho from here. This is my go to spot for pho because it is always so delicious and flavorful. The staff is friendly and food is served fast. This restaurant is very busy all the time, which goes to show how popular their food is. The inside of the restaurant is cozy and homey. Their fish tanks and wine collections are super cool as well!I normally get the #9 large because it has my favorite cuts of meat, but sometimes I would also do a #1 large. I don't add any condiments to it because the soup is already perfect as it is. I do like adding extra limes and basil to my pho though because it makes it more fragrant. Also, if you order takeout from here, the food comes out fast, fresh and they give generous portions. They have peppermints and candy available for everyone near the cash register too!

Pho City is easily the best pho spot in Sacramento (the other best pho in Sac only available as an occasional weekend special at Saigon Oi). I am constantly on the hunt for the best pho after being spoiled daily in Hanoi.Pho City has the most flavorable broth I have found so far. I also love the option to pick your noodle and often go for their thick, fresh rice noodles. Service is quick and the interior is clean. I drive from Roseville at least twice a month specifically for their pho.

Food was great, we were served immediately. It's a nice little shop, mostly elders working. I ordered the chicken pho with clear noodle but received it with rice noodle. I clarified twice that I wanted clear noodle but the rice noodle was fine as well. Broth itself has a lot of flavor and the chicken was very tasty. Workers in the back were singing very loudly which was funny but if that's not your thing then maybe don't come here.

Very good pho restaurant! I love that they offer fresh (flat) noodles if you'd like that instead of rice noodles. I wish all pho restaurants did that. I've had Pho City's combination pho with fresh noodles which was really good. The broth is tasty. The broth is a little salty, but it's not overwhelming to me. Portions are great and prices are reasonable. Our food came out fast when we've dined in before. I've also had their pork rice plate with spring rolls which was also good. I think I've had slightly better spring rolls elsewhere, but these are still good. I've also had fish soup here which I enjoyed. Service has always been good. I like how spacious the restaurant is too.
