Pho Bac Hoa Viet - South Sac

This is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants. Their rice plates are better with there being a variety of items in them. I also like that they have the 3 color drink. Hoa Viet has more of a modern feel to it, but the food is still authentic and good. Some places don't have good pho, but the broth here is good. It is more pricey here, which explains why there usually aren't a lot of people. I haven't had a bad experience with service here. The food comes timely. Staff are decent.

Came here cause my friend told me it was a good spot .... I'm sure it is but I don't think the server likes Americans . We were very respectful and the waitress said 3 rude things that were very unneeded . Last comment she came to the table and said to my niece who was wearing a pink shirt w long hair .. boy or girl? Then laughed . I don't know why that was needed after all she said was rude . She rolled her eyes also when I said I wasn't ready to order and walked away without saying anything. Food was not that good either, I've had better pho and fresher ingredients at other places. I placed an order for an eggroll tray for a holiday party. I was completely disappointed when I arrived on time to pick up my eggrolls and they were cold, soggy, and a waste of money. I have ordered eggrolls before from Pho Bac Hoa Viet and they were hot and crispy upon arrival. Do not order eggrolls from this business! Tôi đã đặt hàng khay trứng cuộn cho bữa tiệc ngày lễ. Tôi hoàn toàn thất vọng khi đến đúng giờ để lấy trứng cuộn và chúng lạnh lẽo, sũng nước và lãng phí tiền bạc. Tôi đã gọi món trứng cuộn trước đây của Phở Bắc Hòa Việt và chúng rất nóng và giòn khi đến nơi. Đừng đặt hàng trứng cuộn từ doanh nghiệp này!

I had the large combination pho 9.5/10. I really enjoyed the broth! The broth was not too strong and the meats tasted fresh. This restaurant gets a 9.5 instead of a 10 because of the portion size. The portion was small for a large. I left the restaurant wanting more. The restaurant is located in Stockton blvd and while we were eating, a homeless man walked in and caused a scene. I don't fault them for it but I did feel a little unsafe. Overall will come again but order an xl size.

My staple for Pho during the cold months. The flavor here has remained consistent over the years and I love the recent upgrades of their menu items. The short ribs pho was delicious but too much for me. The crisp rolls are juicy and crunchy. Service is always good and Playlist makes it a great vibe.

The food we had was very yummy!Bf ordered a large Pho Bo Vien, friend ordered the vermicelli beef, and I got the large Bun Rieu. Huge portions! We were served water in a small plastic cup and also ordered hot tea. Our server was attentive and checked on us, made sure everything was ok. We dinned in evening, an hour before closing so we were seated pretty quickly. I was unable to try their milk teas cause it was close to closing time lol. Prices were reasonable! The ambiance was dim and the place had a nice Asian casual vibe. Parking wise, you won't have any trouble finding a spot. However, it is south Sacramento so close parking can get limited.

Did you know if you sign up for their rewards system, you get a free drink (From the T4 they're connected to) on your birthday? I actually came in this time just to pick up my free birthday drink and didn't get to eat since I was in a hurry. But I guarantee Vietnamese food here has always been a classic. I got the honey dew milk tea for my free drink and they were very sweet about it. They got me my drink while still efficiently taking orders from their other tables. I will need to go back to enjoy my bun bo hue while enjoying their T4 drinks as well

Been going here for years. Worth the drive, Very consistent! Best appys is the mussels and it is so0o0 good! Spring rolls, calamari, we tried them all.Soup? Pho? Try them. Place definitely has the asian feel, we come on week nights so no wait for us but they are always packed.Customer service is always great, attentive and friendly. Try the pho, today I tries the specialty soup on the menu : duck noodle soup with egg noodles.Ambiance is open, dim lighting but you can still see lol and the price? Bang for your buck. LOVE this place.

This restaurant has been around for so long and I am glad I get to write a review now. They just dropped a new menu with some new items! I got to try their version of bun cha and let me tell you, they did not skimp out on the meat or broth/sauce. Aside from 2 meat patties, there were a bunch of grilled meat in the broth as well. I actually really enjoyed it. I do enjoy some of their appetizers and their happy hour menu, but I'm not too sure if they still have it. It was a great idea and I loved the calamari when they had it.
