Philz Coffee

This has been my go-to coffee shop since the day it opened, and honestly, no other location has the same vibe. The friendliest staff, the most welcoming atmosphere--it's been a staple in my routine for years. I held off on writing this review for safety reasons, but now that I'm moving to Portland, I have to give this place the love it deserves.Coffee & Atmosphere: The drinks are always consistent (which I love), and their chai is one of the best--probably as close to authentic as you can get. It does get busy, and I've waited over 20 minutes for a drink before, but it's understandable given how good this place is.Study Spot: If you're looking for a cozy spot to get work done, this place is magical. Plenty of outlets, a big community table where students from all backgrounds come together, and an overall warm, inviting vibe. My only wish? Longer hours.Final Thoughts: The employees here are absolute gems--I genuinely hope they're well-compensated because they make this place feel like home. I'm so sad to leave it behind, but if you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by.

I've recently been coming to Philz Coffee and love how strong their brews are--they definitely get the job done!I keep forgetting we have a local Philz, since I used to grab it all the time when I was staying in San Francisco. It's great to finally have a spot nearby to get my fix.The Mint Mojito is always a must--it never disappoints!

Loved the area and was surprised to see a Philz here. Entering there was plenty of people lounging and studying. If you plan on studying, it might be a hard place to find a good sit to seat in. This place can get busy. We ordered drinks through the cashier and waited not too long for it to be completed. Our drinks were delicious as always--to our perfection. I ordered the mint mojito and my partner ordered the cold brewWe enjoyed our time. Definitely will be back.

We were in the area having lunch and found this location! I love Philz coffee especially the Iced Mint Mojito, my GoTo. My daughter likes the Mocha Tressora. We usually go to the R St location and had no idea there was another store in Sac, shows you how much I keep up, lol. This store was so much bigger and not as busy. In fact, there was no one ahead of us and only two customers waiting for their drink. My complaint was the LONG wait for our drink to be made. There were enough employees working behind the bar, so maybe it was an off day?! Regardless, we'll return because we are addicted and can't turn down Philz .

Love at first sight! Philz mint mojito is what I want my coffee to taste like every morning. I love the fresh mint sprigs in the cup. We drive from Reno sometimes just because we want Philz coffee and find something else to do with our time. This location is soo easy to get to which is a plus too!!

Workers here are so nice!I feel bad going into a place of business not knowing what I want and feeling like I take forever to make up my mind.I asked for my coffee to be set at 120 degrees so I can start drinking right away. Apparently their standard temperature is about there so it worked out perfectly with my caramel coffee.The store is nice and clean as expected.

Leave it to #SacFoodFromAbove (aka Yelper Alex T.) to introduce to some excellent coffee in Sacramento that I dam well should have known about already!THE SETUPPhilz Coffee (aka "Philz") is a smaller chain of coffee shops in the Great Sacramento area that produces some MEAN BREWS. I have easier access to the Philz located at 17th & R Streets, but it was indeed a treat to see this spot with my buddy Alex T. And after a few stops over as many days - from the basic drip-brew to a more complicated seasonal mocha with mint - made me realize that Philz does an excellent brew no matter what iteration of caffeine infusion you ask for.THE LOWDOWNSkip your regular Starbucks on Wednesdays and give Philz a try! You'll really enjoy the brews!

I wanted to write a review because of the marvelous service I had today! I haven't been to philz in awhile because I was home in Texas so I asked for recs. The barista was sooooo sweet and kind to ask me what I normally drink. He not only made my coffee, but he brought it to me at my table while I was working! It was early in the morning and it wasn't as busy as it normally is. I recall having to wait for awhile for coffee but this morning was just great. The shop was clean and quiet (everyone was on electronics). My coffee was strong and really good.

I honestly keep forgetting there's a Philz Coffee here haha. So glad that there is one close by and that you can order from the app. Usually we order from the app since we're in a rush. We go in, and to the left is a counter with our ready drinks.There is usually plenty of seating, so it's a nice place to just read or catch up on some work or catch up with some friends.I didn't realize they have some cool looking fall drinks, so I may try that next time. Glad they aren't falling in to the Pumpkin Spice hype haha.

Very nice spot ! Coffee is great I got the iced rose i really enjoyed it will be back if I am around in the area! Friendly staff as well
