This place has been here for years and I finally decided to give it a go. The place itself is open with a full bar! Clean and didn't smell like bbq at all. My husband and I were seated right away and given a menu. There are a few options. On one side, you have the option for Ayce Mongolian bbq and the other side, you can order Chinese lunch plates. So there are options! We got the ayce bbq which came with fried rice, soup, eggrolls and wonton wraps. The fried rice was meh. Basic and just an add on. We got one bowl of sweet and sour and egg corn soup. Both soups were a little sour and not as warm as I would like. The options they had for Mongolian were pretty decent. They had lots of sauces. JustGotta make sure to add the right mixture lol the meat was a little tough, but was still edible. Overall, the experience was good and I would come back. The only thing I probably had a problem with was the customer service. It was reallyHard to flag someone down for refills on drinks and they didn't seem as attentive. Even when we did flagSomeone down, they totally ignored us and never came back. Something they gotta work on.

I do not write bad reviews, very often. From the moment we walked in we did not feel welcome. Mind you this is a Tuesday at noon, there was only one other customer there, not busy. Our server was put out as if we were in her way. There was a young male that came by once in between that was super friendly. On top of the unwelcome we received the food was not good. Portions were small, egg roll was crisp on the outside but extra mushy inside, chow mein was greasy. All 4 of us agreed about the service ( which I can overlook if the food is good) and the not so good food. Hopefully others have a better experience.

A nice casual restaurant in a mall I never knew existed near Franklin High. My guest and I both chose the Mongolian BBQ for lunch and it was very pleasant. The bowls are smaller than I'm accustomed so it's advisable to press down on the bowl of ingredients (gloves are provided) in order to compensate for the ingredients shrinking during grilling. The ingredients were good enough but seemed to be lacking in flavorful add-ons such as green onions, red onions (white onions were provided) bean sprouts, and red pepper flakes. The egg roll provided was fine but a little doughy on the inside. Parking is free and convenient and the service was very good -- I might try this again to challenge the flavors and quantity in my bowl.

Had to give an up to date review for Peony Palace because we used them over the weekend for my son's 2nd birthday party. I emailed in a few weeks ago asking for a quote, and received very fast and efficient responses. They helped me pick which items to get and the amount to order - which was perfect. They even let us pickup within a half hour of opening which was so nice. Everyone LOVED the garlic mandarin chicken, it was all gone by the end! My son was very happy to have some of his favorite foods at his party. Thank you Peony Palace!

Peony Palace has been the best Mongolian BBQ I've ever tried so far in the Sacramento area! They have every topping you could want, pretty good meat selection, and perfect noodles. The bowls are build-yourself, so you get to control the portions of all of your topping which is nice. Everything is very FLAVORFUL! Their sauces are always on point.The location is great, parking is easy and seating is never an issue. The only hiccups I experience would be occasionally with the customer service. I find that sometimes I feel un-welcomed or get looks. It happens more times than not, but I find it to only be certain staff members that make me feel this discomfort. Most of them are very friendly and welcoming. Overall, super delicious food and a go-to spot for me!

Peony Palace is a total hidden gem, Nancy is great. The food is excellent , the sitting area is nice, the bar does big pours , the Mongolian BBQ tastes delicious , this is a great place to bring the family , the service is impeccable and the egg drop soup is my favorite , I highly recommend trying this restaurant out !

Amazing service and amazing food! I wanted to try something different so I went with the Mongolian beef as the server recommended it was one of his favorites and it was delicious! I definitely recommend this is a great lunch or dinner spot. I also enjoy their blue moon draft beer it is always so cold!
