Paesanos

Came here with a friend on President Day Weekend (Monday around 1:00) and was able to snag a table at the bar. This was my first time at Paesanos in Elk Grove and was surprised how nice the restaurant was. The service was great as well. We both shared the fried raviolis which tasted great! Good texture on the outside and love the spinach and cheese filling! I ordered the house special for the entree. It was some type of pasta with white wine, pistachios, artichoke, and spinach. Which tasted amazing! I was astonished by the taste and how much food it was. Overall the environment, the food, and the service was perfect. If you're looking for a nice meal in Elk Grove, I would highly recommend this spot!

Definitely the best food we have had in EG so far- great service, entrees, dessert and family friendly.We had the Bolognese Papardelle, Farmer's Market salad, wine, kiddo pizza, and Tiramisu. Deducting 1 star because I have NEVER eaten at a decent Italian restaurant (in a US or Italian city) that does not offer espresso/cappuccino to close out the meal. It felt wrong eating tiramisu without coffee. I don't understand this choice.

Came on a Saturday for an early dinner since we had plans at 6 nearby. This place has been on my bookmarked list and since we don't come out this way a lot from the Bay Area, I insisted on trying them out. We ordered the Margherite Pizza, the Baked Pasta and the Calamari. They were all so good! This place did not disappoint! Vivian was amazing! Very friendly and attentive! Will definitely be back.

When you have a neighborhood "go to" spot...it means everything. When I moved here I discovered quickly that not only does Paesanos have good pizza (my fave being the combo featuring SF's famous North Beach deli Molinari sausage!), but also good pastas, meatballs, garlic knots, and a happy hour house wine (Josh red blend!) that uplevels what it means to be an all around Italian neighborhood staple. Love saddling up to the bar and having a chill moment or appreciating the ambiance when bringing pals here and being seated in an indoor booth or on the outdoor patio (which features a calming water fountain) when I'm up for a hangout with friends.

Ordered takeout, service was fast. Got to try the meatballs, shrimp scampi, and salad. Everything tasted goods. Portions a bit small for the price.

Ordered some pizzas for pickup and they were delicious. Service was good. My pizzas weren't available for pickup when I got there, but the host was nice. And brought them out when they were ready. It was Saturday night and it was busy. Places has perfect ambiance for a good date night. Would highly recommend the pizzas. We tried 3 different ones. The one with Gorgonzola was my favorite. I have not yet tried their other food.

Service was nice enough. Pizza was good. Happy hour bites of fried raviolis and bruschetta were just okay. Even at happy hour price the quality just wasn't there. The interior seating is nice and the space is open. In some respects a good thing, though it makes for a noisy environment. I've been a few times over the years just not a fan. Tried this place for the first time and it was just ok. My friends ordered the calamari (7/10, crispy), and bocce balls (5/10, basically just butter bread). I ordered the Fettuccine Arrostiti for my entree and it looked a lot better than it tasted (6/10). I was excited but it lacked so much flavor and was honestly pretty bland. The lime did help bring out a bit of flavor but I was expecting a lot more from the sauce. There also wasn't much chicken. I also like my dishes fresh and hot but it came out almost room temperature. Service was also just ok as she checked up on us maybe once. Maybe the midtown location is better and I might give it another shot.

We got take out so I can only comment on the food. I got the spaghetti carbonara and it was delicious! Serving size looked small but it was perfect for me and my brother in-law. My niece didn't finish hers yet but we were all raving about our food!

If only the customer service matched the quality of the food, then this place would be solid.The moment our server left, which was early onset of us getting our food, we've been neglected by the other servers and employees. I kept on flagging down to get water refills, to go boxes (they didn't even give us a bag for 4 boxes). We sat by the entrance, so you would've thought service would be great, but jokes on us.
