well they advertised that this was the biggest Night Market around and that was not the case. We were very disappointed with the turn out of vendors. It was spread out alright but lots of spaces empty and we expected way more sellers. We got there right when they opened. We waited in line and they finally opened. They gate was confusing at first. They opened and we were in one line but unknow to all of us in line we could got in the second line where another girl was just standing there waiting to check people in but she never said that she was open too. So we strolled down and started looking at all the vendors. The first cut out street they had 3 food trucks but we passed them and came back later. They had a section where there were artist painting their pieces on small walls put up for them It was neat. The arcade was a joke. They had like 4 machines sitting out that you could play. Really , that is not an arcade. Next was the silent dancing. It was a very large lot but the DJ was playing loud music and not silent. No one was in there yet and when we came by later, still no one and I didn't see any headsets. Most of the food was more towards 14th. It was a big lot with food all around it. I was in the mood for BBQ but really none of that. They had a section in the middle with a bunch of small plastic stools with a few tables. The area was huge next to it with just open area. It would of been nice to have garbage cans close by but they put them at each entrance to the lot so you had to walk over to dumb your leftovers. We hit the Lumpia Truck and got the vegetable ones. It came with 6 and it was very large and different than we are used to. Nice. I saw the Beignet Bar so I got some. I was expecting light and airy but they were like cake , kind of dense. Just ok, meh. I moved on to find so meat. The star of this place was the Deliciosas Aguas Frescas. OMG they had so many flavors all lined up and fruit. I never had them before. So refreshing and really hit the spot in the heat. I loved it. I combined the strawberry fresh with the mango something. It was amazing. I was gonna get another one but passed. i should of went back. I remember seeing tri tip back at Big Daddy's Kitchen. I see they raised the price 3 bucks for the event so 20 bucks. I was disappointed that my sandwich was mostly lettuce and tomatoes. Oh well the tri tip was at least cooked wellLast year they said it was pretty good but this year was just ok. They need to get a lot more vendors if they are going to pull off the biggest night market. San Jose is bigger.

I will say this, night markets are all the rage in many major cities across the United States. Sacramento is one of a handful of large cities that has had the honor and privilege of their own market, also known as "Our Street Night Market". Since I am into a lot of the local art, food, music, and entertainment that this city has to offer, I try to make an attempt to come here at least once a year. I first came during their debut year back in 2018 and again in 2019. Since the pandemic hit much of the world in 2020 and 2021, the market did not make its resurrection until 2022 (which I missed since I was out of town). Therefore, I finally made my way back here to this annual event that took place on 9/9/2023.I reserved my RSVP tickets via-Eventbrite months in advance.I believe normal admission price was $5 then went up to $10 and eventually to $15 the day of the event. In case you're wondering where this market is, it is located in the historic "R District" which was a part of Sacramento that was incorporated back in the gold rush days of the 1850's. The event itself spanned over several blocks but was primarily on R St. and in between 11th to 14th St's. The time of this event went from 5:00pm to 12:00am which made it convenient for families that wanted to arrive during the earlier hours and the youngsters that chose to came later.I arrived through rideshare around 7:45pm as this corridor of Sacramento is extremely challenging to find a parking spot; even during non-events that take place. The main entrance is directly on R and 14th as the entire check-in process was quite simple and effective with no hiccups. Once inside the actual market, the entire layout of the grid was spread out relatively well. I could tell that this was not an easy task setting everything up with the vast amount of clothings and jewelry vendors, mobile food trucks, and entertainment throughout. Some of the activities that I saw was live painting sessions, salsa/bachata lessons and dancing, a cool art gallery aka "Twisted Track Gallery", dance performances, several DJ's spinning retro, disco, modern, and hip-hop music, outside arcade machines, and a vinyl record swap. In addition to all of that, there was one dedicated area where they have a Silent Disco; this is where you rent studio headphones and listen to the beats while dancing to what the DJ is spinning; I didn't participate in this since the line to wait was way too long. But I did happen to enjoy some amazing local eats and drinks. This included (2) yummy Bean & Cheese Pupusas thanks to "Las Palmas Pupusas", Supreme Chicken Fries thanks to "Supreme Gyros", and a refreshingly iced cold Strawberry Lemonade thanks to "Handies Lemonade". All of the food was absolutely delicious and thankfully they did not skimp on the portions. There were so many other ethnic foods available here including Filipino, Korean, Mexican, Boba tea, and domestic favorites including lobster, BBQ, and good old cheeseburgers. Even lots of dessert options including milkshakes, funnel cakes, and beignets. All in all, the "Our Street Night Market" is a decent outdoor festival/event that is worth checking out. I've always been a huge fan of local talent and with the vast amount of eclectic food vendors complete with a vast array of various items for sale, this really showcases a lot of what Sacramento and the surrounding areas have to offer coming from locally owned and operating businesses. My rating, an above average four stars.

Our street night market was such a fun event! I got two tickets in advance so it was a free event for me! I loved all the art, dispensaries presence, decor, music, etc.The downfall to this event was the food trucks. Some of them the lines weren't terrible but others it's like the lines were hours of waiting in line. (Not worth it) In my opinion. I got some tacos from Ahurvo foods. They were alright! Definitely coming to this event for the vibes and to look/ get free stuff!

I absolutely love the Our Street Night Market! This was our second year attending after moving to the Sacramento Area in 2020. I recommend following them on instagram for notifications about when free tickets go on "sale". Otherwise the tickets were said to be $10. This market features local business if all kinds: food vendors, clothes art, jewelry, crafts, alcohol (liquor and beers) and even weed shops. We had so much fun!

First time attending Our Street Night Market was this year. I can see why the hype is so hard, there's a bunch of different vendors from clothing to art, to food and more. There's music playing everywhere, it's outdoors and you get to see more different types of art. I think these events need to happen more in downtown as it brings so much people out. Our Street Market gets super crowded so if that's not your thing be aware. The food lines get long too, so be patient. I wish they had more lighting throughout the event because when the sun set it was dark quick and it was hard to see the different items that vendors were selling. Parking sucks so it's highly recommended that you Uber/Lyft to the event.

Happy to see the Our Street Night Market return to Sacramento this year! They've implemented a new system to control capacity, where you can RSVP for free which allows you to enter through the priority line. Anyone else who doesn't RSVP has to get into a separate general admission line and they'll let people in as they are able to. We had our RSVPs and arrived around 5:45 and there was already a line forming. Highly recommend coming to the area early and just killing time nearby, you'll find parking easier than if you come later after the market starts! We parked only a block away by coming an hour before the market started. They let people in promptly at 6pm and we were able to get a bunch of different food and drinks before the long lines started forming. I remember it being super crowded in past years but it wasn't too bad this time, not sure if it got super crowded later in the evening though since we were there for the first hour. They did a great job this year of spreading everything out instead of putting food vendors all in one narrow street which caused issues with lines forming previously. They had distinct areas for food trucks and vendors, just wish they had more of them! The food vendor area was pretty large but not a ton of options. We ended up going down the separate lane of food trucks and getting loaded fries from Bangin Bowls. It was so delicious! And at $15, it wasn't terribly overpriced since it had both beef and shrimp and it was enough to feed both myself and my husband. The dessert vendors were all grouped together along the main road which made it easy to see all the options for sweets and pick from there, instead of having to walk around and find everything. I just wish they had more of a variety of desserts - there seemed to be majority cookie vendors so that's what we ended up with. There was a lot more seating this time too which was nice, on both ends of the market. Live art installations, murals, clothing vendors, and activities like silent disco were all spread out also. I appreciate that you don't have to pay just to enter! Hopefully they continue with the RSVP method, it's definitely the way to go for people who plan ahead. They're definitely improving this event every year and I can't wait to keep coming back!

I first came during their 2018 debut. PACKED is an understatement. It was literally pushing your way through crowds and masses of people. My husband vowed to never return. A friend of mine asked if I wanted to go this year, so I figured I'd tag along. The crowds were a bit better, but parking was still a nightmare. You're better off carpooling or taking an Uber/Lyft because even if you're lucky enough to find parking, you WILL be paying. It was still pretty crowded this year, but not nearly as bad where everyone is within a 1 inch radius of your body space. They have a lot of great food to offer, but prepare yourself to spend at least 40-45 minutes in EACH line. It is definitely a LINE CON, so most of your time will be spent waiting in line. The food is great, but it's up to you to determine how worth it is. I'm not sure if I'd return unless one of my friends wants to go, personally. But it is fun to check out at least once.

Great event! An amazing variety of attractions, food, vendors, artists, music and more. The organizers are possibly the most impressive aspect to the event as not only was it run well but everything from the attention to details to the cleanliness of the event to the fact that the whole thing was broke down and packed up, leaving no trace within a few hours. Other notable qualities are the central location and the complete lack of any negativity. No arguments. No fights. No drama.
