Oshima Sushi and Fugu Lounge

This is a great local spot for sushi and bento. Service is usually good and quick. There are various options for seating such at the bar, at bar booths, high top tables, outside during summer months or on the regular restaurant side. They have a larger party area in the back. They have a decent wine selection and always have speciality cocktails. I have been here many times but always forget to post a review. Tonight we stopped in and got a bento box, a few drinks and a roll. Service was good, food was quick to the table and was good!

I was going to give three stars but after I talked to the bartender about my first sushi option (I don't remember the specific name but it was fresh salmon, smoked salmon, shrimp tempura, lemon and cream cheese) he said "yea, that one doesn't have any sauce so it can be dry" it didn't have any taste at all, plus the rice was crunchy and is was drrrry! On top of that, I told him I think it's missing the smoked salmon, he then proceeded to tell me that the smoked salmon was on top with the fresh salmon. It was just slightly darker. Then in the same breath said he doesn't really eat raw fish so he doesn't know. He did try to make it better and offered to make something else. Once that roll came out, it wasn't that bad, but it was covered in the thickest sauce. So I ate one bite. Back to my initial order, the second roll I ordered, also had zero flavor and was dry. I asked for my bill, he asked if I wanted a box I said no. See pictures for what I left. Still paid, still tipped, and as a sushi lover, I'll never go back.

Like this spot for fresh sushi been coming for over 2 years now always a great dinner or lunch spot. Plenty on space tv screens for games and full bar. Service is good fast and welcome staff. I recommend this place

I was recently reminded how people only do reviews when they have a bad experience. Well I remember how I everytime I come here it is a good experience. I'm a repeat customer and this is my go to spot.

Our neighborhood sushi restaurant. We arrived for dinner on a Saturday night around 7:30 pm. The restaurant wasn't too crowded and we got a table right away. When my family last went, we had three bento boxes (one of each of beef teriyaki, chicken teriyaki, and sesame chicken). The bento boxes come with 2 pieces of California rolls, two gyoza, soup, salad, and rice. In addition, we ordered three sushi rolls: Da Bomb, Smokey Joe, and more California rolls. Da Bomb has shrimp tempura, cucumber, avocado, tuna, green onion, and tobiko (fish roe). Smokey Joe has shrimp tempura, smoked salmon, fresh salmon, lemon, and kaiware (daikon radish sprouts). The food and the service was very good. All of the food came out fairly quickly. We will be back.

This restaurant is located in Natomas, the food, service, and ambience is wonderful here. It is truly a great find.They have a great bar with happy hour drinks and food, good for a single person, date or friends, they have room and a nice outdoor patio too!! The food is always very fresh and delicious. The staff are stellar and the drinks are very delicious. I come here at least once or twice a month, it is on one of my favorite sushi restaurants to go to.I will returning again!

Spacious restaurant with attentive service and extensive menu. Came here on a weekday for HH. Highlights: sushi and appetizers especially the PDR and Dynamite roll.

Great atmosphere awesome sports bar and ask for Molly the waitress cause she's really nice. Love the food and the sushi.

It has good service and an excellent sushi bar. Open seating, Greta music.I highly recommend asking Jeff, the bartender, for options.

This is our go to sushi place in Natomas. The quality and taste is quite reliable and remarkable. If you are a sushi lover, this place is a must try! They have most amazing sushi and the quality of the fish is great. This time we tried baked oysters, which were super yumm! Krispy kirk and dynamite sushi roll, which were quite good. Also ordered a Poke bowl which I would say was average. The bar side of the ambience is quite good with comfortable booths. The other side of the ambience for the family with with kids is basic with not so comfortable chairs.The service here is quite good, haven't seen a single server without a smile.
