Old Town Grill

Really enjoyed this little gem on Main Street in Placerville. Charming cozy little place. You kind of feel like you're in someone's cottage. Service was excellent. Very friendly and well informed staff. Sierra, the parrot, was one cool bird! My little one enjoyed her company. The food was terrific. Two people ordered burgers and they were delicious. Two people ordered chicken fingers and those were really tasty and unique! They were different than what you would typically find in other places and I dig that! I mean, let's face it, chicken fingers/tenders/nuggets tend to be pretty similar at most places so preparing them in a way that's different and stands out.. kudos to you! And your honey mustard that it was served with was quite delicious too. I'm not a honey mustard person so that says a lot. I ordered John Studebaker's wheel. This is a Polish sausage sandwich and it was everything I wanted it to be. It was perfect.I must mention that the sides that came out with everything were so nicely prepared as well. The fries, the side salad, and the chili... all prepared so thoughtfully. Love this. My only bone to pick was that the chili could've been served a little bit warmer. Outside of that everything was wonderful and it was a great experience. I wish this place was closer to home because this is exactly the type of place I would eat at all the time if it was in my neighborhood. Great job to all of you, keep up the wonderful work you're doing. Your community is lucky to have you.

True to other reviews, we had excellent service and were addressed by my first name. The dining area was like a big family gathering spot. I had the elk burger and would recommend it to those wanting a healthier burger. We'll be back!

Friendly staff and a definitely popular with the locals.Staff is careful with your order and is read back to you prior to accepting payment. Nothing wrong with thoroughness! Food is cooked to order so there is a wait but food is cooked perfectly and presented well. Staff is available to refill your water or beverage and to assist customers. Met the owner briefly and he is extremely welcoming! Highly recommend this establishment.

Easily the best burger in town. If I'm coming through Placerville I've got to stop at Old Town Grill. The food is fresh and made with love. The owner John is an incredibly nice man who will remember your name for years and greet you kindly upon walking in on days he is working. The bacon blue cheese burger is a personal favorite. The outdoor seating area is well shaded and lovely. The decor is eclectic and the live parrot living inside the restaurant may not be for everyone but it certainly adds to the unique local charm of the restaurant.This is the lunch spot in Placerville. Don't let the lines scare you away, service is fast and the food is more than worth the wait.

Old town grill is great! The workers are so friendly, the owner is friendly, really great service.The fries were sooooo good. Crispy, seasoned, delish. The sweet potato dollops, same thing, with a nice sauce drizzled on top. I got the old town burger, which is just the most basic burger they have, & it was not lacking at all. Very good burger! Even for being just the basic. Well cooked & flavored. Hit the spot. My one negative is that they don't have ranch :( but fortunately the food is good enough on its own. I was torn between the regular old town burger and getting the stuffed burger, which has mushroom, garlic & feta, but I chickened out & kept it basic. Next time I'll try the stuffed for sure! There is also a surprise guest in the back room where you eat

I have come here a handful of times & I have never been disappointed with the food here. It seems like a hole in the wall kinda place but don't be fooled by its appearance. The food is DELICIOUS!I ordered the Old Town Dog - a spiral cut hot dog eaten on a hamburger bun. It is delicious; plus the side of fries were bomb. The Chicken Salad was really good - an interesting assortment of fruits & veggies & very fresh. The chef was friendly as you get to walk by him to get to your seat & the rest of the staff were nice as well. I can't wait to come back!

Just visited for the first time! The food was delicious, prices were reasonable, and the staff are all fun and lively! I had the Bleu burger with bacon and a chocolate milkshake. It was all the things I could want and I will be returning!

The Home Town Grill's burgers are made from top quality meats, produce and buns. The staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. Meals are delivered in gold pans, but the nuggets are in each bite. Ambiance is down home relaxed; 5 star burger joint.
