Offbeat Coffee

Cute place with great drinks~ They just opened recently and I've been a fan of their drinks since their pop up days. At the store they have a simple menu, but drinks are high quality and well made. For the two visits so far I've tried:Matcha Latte: this is I my personal opinion one of the best matcha if not the best so far. Great quality matcha is used and they are hand whisked upon ordering. The matcha is earthy and deep and with whole milk adding creaminess. Well balanced and impeccable~Cappuccino: first of all beautiful coffee art. The espresso to milk ratio is good. Not too milky, not too strong, just right! Very enjoyable. I can't decide which one I like more so I guess I'll have to get both every time haha. They also have a fiancier that I wanna come back and try~ The place is pretty big and open. I love the tall ceilings and clean simple aesthetic. At the ordering counter there are a few fun decorations like a Labubu and building brick espresso machine. Service is excellent and friendly. I can see myself coming here lots and can't wait to try their baked goods too!

Now THIS is exactly what Sacramento needs! If you're local or in the area, I definitely recommend pinning Offbeat & visiting. The coffee shop is super spacious - high ceilings, full of tables, natural lighting, and overall amazing ambiance. There's also a bathroom that they keep super clean, which is definitely a plus. OH, ALSO FREE WIFI :))Don't get me started on their simple, yet delicious menu! (from someone who is indecisive, this definitely helps a lot). I've been here a couple times, always trying different drinks when I can. I think on Saturday's they have IG: @thepastrycat916 come in for pop ups & their pastries are SO delicious. chef's kiss to the Korean Garlic Cream Cheese Bun & Mini Ham & Cheese pain suisse!!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND:Sàigon Cinnamon Coffee (hot or ice): 10/10; not too sweet, yet still flavorful & having that subtle cinnamon hintIced Matcha with Cream Top (not sure if it's on the menu, but definitely ask): 11/10; I'm a matcha lover & they used such amazing quality uji matcha from japan + the cream top foam makes this drink perfection! Thao & Vivian were super helpful & definitely made my experience at Offbeat somewhere worth recommending. I will be a happy returning customer!

Offbeat Coffee is the newest spot to go to in Sacramento.I wanna start off by saying my favorite part of this place, which is the environment/aesthetic/vibes. It's very spacious and minimalistic inside, so if you are that person that loves taking pictures, this is it.I wanna talk about the menu, and how it is different but still familiar. They have your standard drinks like cold brew, americano, but they also have unique drinks for them exclusively, which we got, which are the Mint Matcha Latte, and Saigon Latte. I love that they switch it out too from time to time. And both drinks were GOOD.Lastly, the staff and service were both very friendly and accommodating to their customers.Overall, I highly recommend Offbeat Coffee if you are in Sacramento area and you need something new for coffee. Check them out!

Great drinks! I really like their cold brew, the minty matcha latte was pretty good. Really enjoyed in a nice sunny weekend. The staff were friendly and explained me about their matcha.

Having heard so much about Offbeat, it was time to check them out. Got there around 9 am on a Saturday and the parking lot was packed. It wasn't a long line to order though. Currently in soft opening, the shop is spacious! There are plenty of seating tables and small chairs. It has this minimalistic aesthetic feel inviting collaborators, great minds, a place to work or study and just gather. Menu was short and simple. My order was an oat milk cappuccino, my sister got a vanilla latte and a hojicha oat milk latte with added vanilla. I liked my cappuccino upon first sip but after awhile, all I tasted was oat milk. The coffee notes started to fade after a few sips which I wasn't thrilled about. My sister's vanilla latte was good, however she said it was a tad bitter. I think she's used to less coffee more vanilla. I was able to try the hojicha latte and really liked it. I'll have to get that one next time. Some things I didn't like but it's actually minor. The parking lot is very tight. Happened to come on a day with The Pastry Cat doing a pop-up and I think that's what added to the parking congestion. I did like that there were 2 lines: one for coffee the other for pastries. Offbeat does have some pastries but I was too late and they ran out of the financier bread. The shop is kind of low lit. The area where the baristas are at didn't have any lights on but the rest of the cafe had lighting. I know they're currently in soft opening right now so perhaps not all the lighting is ready. Lastly, the coffee cups are very small. For cappuccinos, I know and expect them to be small but for regular lattes, they were about the same size. Hopefully once they have their grand opening, more drinks will be added to their menu and maybe different sized coffee cups. Service was good and they did apologize for the wait which is thoughtful of them to say. I didn't feel it was a long wait. I think they were just swamped with the morning rush and doubled that with the pop-up.

Located in a small complex this cafe is the perfect pick me up. When you enter, you walk into a modern industrial cafe. You order at the counter, and the barista makes your order in their open space area. You'll wait until your name is called and you pick up your order by the cashier. There are waters on the opposite side also. I tried the Saigon Cinnamon and boy what a treat! It's like drinking a warm hug. The smooth specialty drink has a nice subtle balance of cinnamon. Definitely recommend !

Offbeat is officially in soft opening at their new brick and mortar location! It's easy to get to right off of Broadway and they have their own private parking lot. The space inside is huge, and doesn't feel cramped like you're stuck sitting right next to a stranger. We were greeted immediately upon entering yesterday. They are the sweetest girls! The menu is simple but I always love their rotating specials! I was also so excited to see hojicha on the menu because not a lot of places offer it. I ordered a hot version and my husband ordered a hot saigon cinnamon latte. Shoutout to the oatmilk replacements here too! Both drinks came out with different latte art, both beautifully done, in the prettiest ceramic cups. I can't wait to come back and hangout here more and try all the drinks!!

Sacramento gets another coffee shop, and I'm not mad about it. Offbeat Coffee just opened up recently. They offer tea and tea lattes for folks who are not coffee purveyors. Offbeat has an interesting selection of roasters that aren't carried in Sac coffee shops. They also host pastry popups, like with Pastry Cat!Because they're so new, they've still got a lot of growing pains. Come on the weekends and you're easily waiting in line for 30 minutes just to order. I ran into a friend here, and he said that the line looks like that every dayThe space is quite spacious, despite the business. It almost feels like the seating is a little too sparse. The juxtaposition of people in line versus actually hanging out at a table is a little jarring. That being said, I'd visit again. Cool space. High quality drinks. Excited for things to run a little more smoothly.

Brand new coffee place the fiancée wanted to try, they're brand new and just had their soft opening and we decided to try it out! The staff are super friendly and the wood decor is made by a local carpenter and it looks lovely.The drinks were yummy and the fiancée' says their matcha was very good and not many places get that kind of praise from her

Had really high hopes for this place but was not very impressed. The coffee and matcha we got was nothing special and there wasn't much in the way of baked goods. Don't think I'll be returning
