Off The Chain Bike Bus Tours

Had such a great time on the holiday lights tour in East Sacramento. Sean was a great guide, so friendly and fun. We've been a few times. Highly recommend them.

Had an amazing time. Recently took Off The Chain bike bus tours to celebrate a friend's birthday and it was beyond worth it. Our driver Sean was friendly, engaging, and professional. Took us to some great spots where we stopped for drinks. Along the route Sean played some great music and had a mic where some of the ladies busted out those vocals.Can't wait to book again.

Our group had so much fun, though we were worried about being in 100+ temp, the music, karaoke, and stops made it enjoyable allowing us to enjoy the day together. Thank you James for taking care of all of us.

This company definitely delivers what their name implies! My first exposure to this unique way of having fun while touring the streets of downtown Sacramento was when I had the lucky opportunity to participate in a sponsored Yelp event and had a great time! Here is a wonderful and entertaining way to enjoy a pub crawl without crawling OR driving! While Yelp gave us a discount rate for this tour, Off the Chain offers several packages for your own get-togethers that include but not limited to pub crawls, sightseeing tours, progressive dinners, and private charters. Keep in mind that free drinks are part of the packages! If you are weak and out of shape like me and wondering if bicycling for any length of time will tire you out, don't worry! The pedaling is easy and low key! You receive a quick and easy demonstration along with safety spiel by tour guides Todd and Jason before choosing your stationary bike. While the bikes are stationary, you are a definite participant at keeping the bus moving along! As we pedaled our way through the streets of midtown, I found it fun and exhilarating to be out in the open on a beautiful day, listening to great music, playing trivia games, waving to passersby and having some laughs with friends.If you are looking for an interesting source of entertainment to occupy yourself, friends, relatives or co-workers, consider "Off the Chain"! Again another perfect day w/ OTCBBT!! Noe and Andrew were great. Noe texted me before our tour to introduce himself and answer any questions we had. Our group walked from our hotel (Hyatt Regency, great location) to the meet point. Noe was there waiting and ready. After Andrew stored our wine in the cooler and checked our waivers we were off. We spent the next two and half hours pedaling around Sacramento w/ good friends while sipping on wine. The two stops that we picked were Iron Horse Tavern and Station 16. The Iron Horse was packed with a good crowd and had yummy drinks and tasty appetizers. Our second stop was Station 16 and while it had good drinks (and we heard great food) the atmosphere wasn't what our group liked (we are a little bit loud. LOL). We pedaled (optional) back to our hotel at the end of our adventure. So if your looking for something to do that is different I would suggest OTCBBT. They have friendly staff members, competitive rates and what a way to spend with friends or family.

This is soooooo much FUN! The owner is so professional and has such a great time making sure the riders are having fun! He has a person (we had Megan and she was DARLING)helping with the drinks in between stops and it makes it all so easy and feel totally spoiled! The bike bus we were on even had charging stations for your phone! We did the "three stop tour" and it was the perfect amountt of riding time and bar time! This was my son's 21st birthday gift and we had an absolute BLAST! Would TOTALLY do it again and again!!!

We booked the beer bike for my son's 21st birthday and our group had never done this before. I've seen this last year and thought it looked like a fun thing to do. I have to say that our entire party had an amazing time! Captain Sean and the crew were AWESOME! They were friendly, accommodating, and enthusiastic which made the entire tour such fun! We booked the 4:30 crawl which was perfect because the bars we stopped at were not as busy and we were able to drink at each stop without feeling rushed. I have to say that you have to bring your cardio-game because pedaling was no joke. Overall, we would definitely do this again and highly recommend these guys for any event that you may have. Thanks SACTOWN Bike Bus for making my son's 21st birthday one he will forever remember!

How lucky am I that I was able to take a ride on the Off the Chain Bike Bus? Incredibly lucky! I was a little wary when I first got on the "bike", as the seats are not the most comfortable and I was worried about the hills, but once you get going, it is a blast! The ride took place on a chilly spring day, but it was clear and beautiful.I will not lie, you do pedal and get a little workout in, especially depending on where your stops may be, but if it gets too hard, the electric part of the "bike" kicks in and helps you out. Our host was a a gregarious jokester who played the tunes we requested and ran trivia. He was clearly having a good time and the driver would chime in every now and then. I would prefer to tip at the end of an event, as the host would collect tips throughout the ride, but this may have been ironed out by now.The itinerary included two stops, and I became rather tipsy after we hit the first bar, so I was grateful for the steadiness of the bike! When we hit the second destination, I knew I would be safe on the bike after additional drinks. Food was included and I found myself laughing hysterically at the trivia aboard the bike and enjoying the cool air as I worked the pedals. It was just enough exercise to sober up in time for the end of the tour.Overall a great concept, a cool way to try a few bars or pubs, and an innovative and up and coming company.

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL! We booked back at the end of July. This is our first time going with this business, usually we book with Sac Brew Bike. The night went pretty decent, I thought about booking with them in the future because their rules are pretty lenient... HOWEVER, after what I have encountered, I will NEVER EVER book with them again and I'll make sure anyone who asked me about brew bikes... I will share them my experience with THIS business. They care for making money off of you and then treat you like garbage right after. I understand a business is trying to get it's bag, but at least have some human decency. It's not like we treated the driver and the host bad at all--we offered them the alcohol that we brought with us and offered food that we ordered at one of the stops we made, left several boxes of alcohol for them at the end, and on top of that tipped very well. We wanted to make sure that everyone (including the employees) is having a good time because it's not the easiest thing to be in the heat, bike, and deal with people at times. I get that it's their job and they signed up for it, but it's just nice to see everyone around you having a good time. Let's proceed to what happened... shall we?As we started biking, the employee told us that we can leave our jacket on the hanger on the inside because there isn't one on the outside (where we are sitting). I proceed to do so, thinking nothing of it because I know it'll be safe there as we get on and off the bike. Arriving to our last destination, we all hopped off and a few minutes later... I realized that I have forgot my jacket on the bike. My friend who booked the bike called them immediately and they picked up-- informing my friend that they see the jacket AND that I can pick it up first thing in the morning. Fast forward to the morning. I drove down to the address listed on yelp...I pulled up and guess what? I couldn't find the building for "Off the Chain Bike Bus Tour." I thought I was at the wrong location... I had to second guess myself and walked back and forth to see if I have missed the building. Keep in mind, I know downtown sac like the back of my hand-- I go out extremely often and even work in dt. It led me to the address of a restaurant that has been shut down and chained up. It didn't felt right. I got confused... so I called up the number. The owner picked up, he informed me that they are only out there if someone books with them and the next time he is out here, he will check or have his guys check the bike. I left it at that and followed up more towards the end of the week. Here is where the math ain't mathing...So, how come the staff said that they saw the jacket and that I can pick it up the next morning? When there isn't even a location for this business (I forgive about there not being a location). However, it doesn't make sense... if they were to store the bikes away and come out for the next customer, wouldn't the jacket still be on the bike? Unless... one of the staff took it and the owner is covering them. As you may wonder... what type of jacket is this? why would someone steal a jacket? It's a ZARA jacket... so, I guess it's worth having sticky fingers over. I followed up again today. The owner picked up and I asked about my jacket. He came at me rude... saying "You called us 3-4 times. There is nothing we can do." Sounds super defensive to me; you know people don't act defensive for no reason. The response is super ignorant as a business owner. I informed him how unprofessional it was for his staff to provide misinformation and how it played out in general. He said "there is miscommunication," and that's it. Like that's all he can say to me as a customer? OH OKAY.I understand people lose stuff all the time. I wouldn't be upset if I placed it at a bar and then accidentally forgot about my jacket. However, I was informed that they see the jacket AND that I can pick it up the next morning... but when I try to pick up the jacket, my jacket is no where to be found. It makes no sense at all...

Booked for a birthday event, booking system was simple and straight forward. Loved that you didn't have to bring a cooler it was built in the bike! I was worried about my backpack falling off but Sean (our driver) informed us that they had PURSE HOOKS! I don't know about y'all but I love that detail! (Back to Sean) he was very nice and helpful. We were indecisive on our stops and he was nice enough to give us some options. Overall the night went well, the best part of the bike was that they had KARAOKE! Everyone had a great time will be booking again!!
