Absolutely, delicious! Today we visited Octopus Baja for Valentine's lunch! My husband heard about this spot from his coworker and decided we should check it out. We were warmly welcomed and the restaurant was beautifully decorated for Valentine's day.If you ask me, the menu items are thoughtfully designed with an exquisite Mexican, Latin, Peruvian, Baja California seafood twist. Everything sounded so good it was hard to decide what to order. After looking things over we decided to share the Ceviche and Octopus tostada and also go the Baja Surf and Turf Torta, and Fisherman's stew. For drinks we got the Lychee Pisco Sour and Lemon Guava Smash.First came the drinks. The Lemon Guava Smash was right up my alley. It was refreshing, sweet and you could taste the guava and strawberry. The Lychee Pisco Sour was also good but a bit of a stronger alcohol taste. Both drinks were winners.Next came all the food. The Ceviche and Octopus tostada was amazing! Everything was fresh and the mix of sauces gave everything really good flavor. It had a bit of a kick but not overly spicy. I really enjoyed my Baja Surf and Turf Torta. On one slice of bread was a pile of pickle onions and steak. On the other half were 4 perfectly grilled shrimp and avocado. I enjoyed every bite of the crunchy shrimp and tender beef on the lightly toasted bread. My husband's Fisherman stew had a good mix of seafood. It had two very large prawns and mix of mussels, octopus, shrimp, fish and potato. He really liked the broth despite the tad of spiciness.Overall, we enjoyed everything we ordered, had a good time and can't wait to return to try the dinner menu.

My friend and I had dinner here this past weekend. We had made a reservation, which good thing we did because this place was packed!! Immediately we noticed the limited seating. This restaurant is very small. It was pretty crammed, even just walking to your table, you have to squeeze by other guest in their chairs. Also only 1 bathroom for both genders. Restaurant was very clean inside and staff is friendly. Food was all fresh and delicious. We ordered the aguachiles appetizer, very good! Was hoping it would have some spice, as most agua"chile" recipes do, this one did not. For entrees, I ordered the Baja arrechera. Which was steak, a big piece of corn, shrimp and a little bit of beans. I loved the salsa's on top of the steak. Very flavorful and spicy :) My friend ordered the citrus miso glazed salmon. Which was HUGE! It was really good. The one thing that threw us off was the portion sizes of the food. It wasn't consistent with another item of the menu. Dessert was really great! I ordered the dulce de leche, so good. It was airy, cheese cake like. With caramel balls on too. My friend ordered the brown butter cake, which was so warm and paired perfect with the ice cream on top. All in all, great dinner experience. 8/10.

Rainy Saturday and early dinner. We arrived and the place was not busy at all. They have some parking on the side so f the restaurant. We were seated promptly and all the staff very welcoming. Our waiter was polite and cheerful. We started with the shrimp and Octopus tostada, sourdough bread and a cup pf clam chowder. The tostada was great as well as the bread. The clam chowder had good flavor but kinda watery compared to other clam chowders I have had. The half dozen Shigoku oysters were meaty and delicious. Then we had the Octopus- it was well cooked and soft with great taste. The portion was small but perfectly made. The disappointment was the scallops. They were tiny and not as pictured and burnt. At this point we just let it go since service and everything else was great. The lychee pisco sour was my favorite. The spicy smoked mezcal Paloma- pass. We had a nice quiet dinner. :)

Came here for happy hour on a Wednesday with the girls and it's now one of our new favorite places!First of all, the coconut mojito - I can drink a pitcher of this. It was so good and very nostalgic for my cousin and me (we went to Cuba in 2019 and it really reminded us of that trip!).The happy hour specials were delicious. We got the shrimp tacos and shrimp ceviche from the HH menu. Both seasoned to perfection and packed with flavor. On the regular dinner menu, we got the spicy Caesar salad, fisherman's stew, pulpo (octopus) and a side of broccolini. Everything was good, but our favorite was the broccolini! It was tender and the tiny tips were crispy and paired well with the sauce. We also got the creme brûlée cheesecake and the brown butter cake for dessert, which were both delicious and a good portion size for sharing amongst us 4.Our server was super patient with us and so kind, as there was a slight mishap with one of our drinks, she gracefully took it back and promptly made us a new one. It had been awhile since us girls got together so we sat for a long while as we chatted away and our server continued checking in and serving us water. Of course, if it was busy we would've left after paying our bill.I seriously cannot wait until the weather gets warmer because their outside seating is so cute! All the decor is cute, but outside is just SO cute! They have the cutest navy blue and white umbrellas and an underwater/ocean aesthetic which makes me want summer NOW. I'm already imagining having lunch outside, fur baby next to me, mojito in hand LOL

Overall: 4/5Food: 4/5Service: 5/5Ambiance: 5/5Cleanliness: 5/5Price: 3.5/5Came here for Big Back Activities. Had a great experience here! The ambience is great! Nice dim lighting, and great vibes. I love the Decour, has an outdoor but indoor vibe. The restroom was super clean. This is always a plus for me. The cleanliness was definitely on par.The food was really good. My wife got the octopus, which was exceptional! I have never had an octopus that tender. I didn't even know it was octopus. The Steak and shrimp was good, the torta was good. I will say the only thing that was lacking was salt. I know restaurants will often times opt for less seasoning out of fear of over-salting. But we gotta have that good ol seasoning, or the flavors don't come to life. The service was great! Our waitress was Paola. She was very kind, knowledgeable and attentive. S/O to Paola! Will I double-back?? Yesssirski!

Hidden gem, our server said...Paola was amazing! Because of her recommendations and exceptional customer service we will be back for another visit. First impression upon walking in? ... very cute interior. The big windows bring in so much natural light which is very inviting. I would say Octopus Baja is great for big groups, be sure to call ahead. Our food was pretty good with different flavors that create an explosion of yumminess with every bite. I ordered the Baja Surf and Turf Torta, check out my picture because not only is the food delicious but the presentation is really vibrant and colorful. My husband ordered the Chipotle Salmon which was also very delicious! You can tell that the chefs cook with experience and love. If you eat here be sure to try the chipotle aioli, this sauce is magical and nothing like o have ever tried anywhere, not even in Mexico.

We went here for happy hour. Their happy hour is between 4 and 6. There is street parking and limited parking in a small lot behind the restaurant. The staff was friendly. The interior is dark and nicely decorated. The food was pretty bland and not very spicy. If you want to try this place I would go during happy hour since the pricing is more reasonable than on their regular menu.

Cute place with ample parking! They have a lot in the back for customers too if you don't want to park in the street. We went in on a weekday and it wasn't busy. We were in and out of there in 30 minutes though because Mexican food is quick to come out and quick to eat lol. We came during happy hour (4pm-6pm i believe). We got the conceptualized shrimp tacos, the blue fin tostada, and an oyster shooter. We were given complimentary chips and salsa; the salsa was kind of different but had a spice kick to it which i liked. The shrimp tacos were good but kind of lacking flavor. The tostada on the other hand tasted soooo bland it was like eating nothing. The oyster shooter came on the shell but my goodness it looked sooo dry like it's been living on a deserted island for ages. I didn't eat it but my partner said it was dry and not good at all. They have these little cups for water but they never came and refilled our waters. We had to ask one time..and when they refilled it the water tastes bad like fresh tap water, eww lol. We don't plan to return.

Saw this place through social media, so we wanted to try it. Trendy restaurant with plenty of options to drink and eat. We got a few of the top recommendations from our waiter and they all did not disappoint. Although on the pricey side, the items were all good enough to share. Tasty. The drinks were good, and if you like mescal--their mescal drinks was very Smokey. Parking available next to the restaurant, but there is plenty for parking.
