Oak Meadow Park

I was taking a bike ride along American River Drive dreaming of the day I could afford living in one of these houses when I stumbled upon this little gem. It has a standard park play structure. Its not a very big park but the pathway leading through it to the back of the park will also lead you to the American Bike Trail. It's a cute park in a nice neighborhood.

What a nice little park! My husband and I decided to finally pay it a visit yesterday after driving past it for years on our way home from Loehmann's Plaza. Our daughter loved the swings and Clifford. There is a perfect shady area between the swings and the main playground where we ate for a little while. Seems like most of the people at the park were just passing through, since it is on a main road and it leads to the levee.

Great playground for kids with multiple slides, swings, and a climbing wall. The kids enjoyed themselves a lot with basically the whole playground to themselves and, despite being on American River Drive, the playground is set back far enough that I wasn't concerned about the cars zipping by.Only downside is the lack of convenient restrooms.
