Nopalitos

My husband and I eat breakfast here at least twice a month.The breakfast is delicious. My husband and I order the nopalitos scramble or red potato plate and add eggs. The staff are always very friendly!It's a cash only establishment, so make sure to have enough cash on hand. Prices are reasonable.

We recently visited Nopalitos Restaurant for breakfast on a Saturday, drawn by its great reviews and its location within our community. We often drive by and notice the always-full parking lot, so we decided to check it out.Upon arrival, the atmosphere was busy, indicative of its popularity. One thing to note is that you order and pay at the counter, and they ONLY ACCEPT CASH, which was a bit inconvenient for us. We didn't have cash on us, so they directed us to an ATM machine at the store next door. Since we live nearby, we decided to go ahead with our order while my husband went to get cash.Our food took about 15 minutes to come out, which was reasonable given the busy environment. The server efficiently brought our order to our table, identified by our number. The food was good, and we appreciated the salsa bar in the corner and the available canned drink options.Overall, our experience was positive, with the only drawback being the cash-only policy. Despite this, the food and service made up for the inconvenience, and we enjoyed our breakfast at Nopalitos.

My boyfriend finally took me to Nopalitos on a Saturday and I was shocked how popular it was. It was my first time seeing this restaurant after living in sacramento my whole life. Definitely a secret gem! You order first and then find open seating. Luckily with it being packed, we were able to sit right after ordering. The staff is very friendly and sweet! Reminder that this place is cash only!! Our food came out shortly. My boyfriend wanted me to try the little cactus plate and ordered himself the machaca and chorizo breakfast burrito. Why have one when you can have two? The cactus plate was very yummy! I've had cactus before so it wasn't anything out of the ordinary for me. The flavors and textures really went well with one another. Out of the burritos the machaca was our favorite. The meat was tender and flavorful. This is the first breakfast burrito where I felt it was different than your typical breakfast burrito. I highly recommend you try! It was really delicious.I'd definitely come again! The food and service is amazing. This place gives you comfy and homey vibes.

Order at counter. Cash or check only. Breakfast til noon. Machaca was very flavorful, loved the jalapeños inside. Chorizo omelet was filling. Busy place, but the service is top notch. Place is not good for large parties. Wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often.

Very quaint friendly cash only diner. Order st counter and they bring to table. Staff is nice and attentive. Salsa bar is small but boast some good flavors. Coffee is excellent I love their chili verde and have only tried either to plate or burrito. Cheese and sour cream Optional. Solid food choices great service and clean restaurant. Nopalitos is an East Sac gem! Place does get busy because the food is really good, especially their breakfast burritos. They are cash only so make sure to grab cash before stopping by - it's totally worth it!

Nopalitos is a hidden gem that absolutely deserves the spotlight in Sacramento! If you're looking for authentic Mexican flavors in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, this is the place. The moment I walked in, the smell of fresh spices and warm tortillas made me feel like I'd stepped right into a family kitchen in Mexico.I got the little cactus special with half red half green sauce and it was a game-changer. The dish was so flavorful. The salsa added a great balance of spice and acidity. I could tell it was made with quality ingredients and lots of love. My husband ordered the machaca breakfast burrito, and they were just as delicious and bursting with flavor.The staff is super friendly and attentive, always making sure we had what we needed without hovering. Prices are also really reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.If you're in Sacramento and craving some authentic Mexican food, don't skip Nopalitos. This place is the real deal, and I'll definitely be back for more!

Place is small. Not a lot of tables available. The breakfast menu is not posted where you can see it. I recommend that they post on the door. The food was really good. CASH ONLY!!!! . They should add a credit machine and just charge the fee like a lot of places do now. You order and pay at the counter then take the number to the table.

I would probably give this place 3.5 stars. I ordered the Chile Colorado, it was good, just not a very big portion. The service was good, the price was a little on the higher side. The food was prepared nicely, I just don't know if this place lives up to the hype.

Staff friendly and made some menu recommendations.Eggs over Chile ColoradoVery tender beef, mild spice and finishes with a hint of sweetness, I normally like more spicey but it works. There is a salsa bar ingredients look fresh.Home style potatoes very good.Will return to try the Little Cactus Special.Only caveat is they only take cash or check. I never carry cash but had a some today.
