A great little hidden find of a corner store, fully stocked and open for your midtown living needs. It's one of those corner stores you'd probably never know about if it weren't for Yelp or if you weren't randomly passing through the neighborhood, but for those close by it does the trick. I thought the guy behind the counter (I'm assuming he's the owner) was especially nice. I got what I can for - chips and lotto tickets - without a line, without any hassle. There was large selection of cold drinks, too - always important for the thirsty midtown traveler in summer heat.

Nick's offers unique snacks like Wild Game jerky. They make their own sandwiches and have an ATM Machine if you're strapped for cash. There's regular sales on light beer such as Natural Ice, Rolling Rock, Busch, and Natural Light at $3.87 for a six-pack. A six-pack of 16 oz. Budweiser is $10.05. They're open on Thanksgiving.

Beer was a little pricey, but nice to have a place in walking distance where I can buy said beer. Also, I'm a big fan of the beer.

Beer and winning lottery tickets! Great corner store with the basics for daily survival. I split my purchases between here and Royal Market because I live midway between, and want both businesses to be around! The owners are friendly and most days I can score some fresh fruit at the counter. Solid neighborhood market

Love this place! I used to live near it and I was in heaven. The people that run it are amazing and so caring. They told my daughter and I to always bring our bikes in so that someone doesn't steal them, probably 2 days before that my small daughter rode her bike to the AMPM around the corner from Nick's and the jerk that worked there refused to let her leave her tiny little bike near the door (where it would have been completely out of the way and not a bother to anyone). I have been short before and they have floated me til the next time. I literally went by this store every day! They are so amazing and have a great assortment of things you might need!

I had a very unpleasant experience here. I went into the market with my infant son to purchase some alcoholic seltzers and I was shamed as he presumed I was planning to drink them as I fed my son, and took it upon himself to inform me not to do that. I was taken aback by the presumption and judgment. I am disappointed, as this store is convenient to where I live but I don't think I will be a patron any longer. Motherhood is challenging and wonderful and complicated enough- don't make it difficult to run a simple errand at your neighborhood market by making assumptions about your intentions and how you care take for your child. Still livid thinking about this and I hope he heeds my advice as I told him not to speak to customers in this way.

By far the WORST place I've been to buy lotto due to the (who I assume to be) owner's arrogance. Coming into Nick's Market to buy lottery left me in an uncomfortable position as I got yelled at by the older man. My mother was with me and she purchased her tickets, at the time I settled for a $1 scratch-off. He proceeds to ask me for my ID which I willingly allow him to look at. He just says "No!" , at this point my mom and I look puzzled and ask why. Now is where he goes on raising his voice at me telling me that I am not old enough to buy lotto , cigarettes, or cigars and that he has been telling this to customers all day as if tired of saying it. It took my mom pointing out that the legal age is 18, for him to let me buy my $1 scratch -off. Mind you that I am 20 years old, I have been buying lotto since the day I turned 18. The most awkward apology any man has every given while trying to assure me it's going to be a winner. Even after getting my ticket he proceeds to make me feel uncomfortable by asking my mother questions about me while I stand there such as "Oh that's your daughter, is she in school?", as if I'm an ignorant child. Needless to say I will NEVER be returning here again.

Great little store! The staff are super friendly and helpful and they have a great selection groceries for most everyday needs. It's so nice to see a few of these corner stores still running in midtown. It's so much more pleasant picking up a few bits and peices here than in any of the big supermarkets.
