Nick The Greek - Fountains

Good food, simple atmosphere, clean. Good vegetarian options. Love the area it's in. I'll go again.

I went here on a busy Saturday afternoon in the fountains, nick the Greek had a couple of customers. The place was calm and not too busy, very quiet. Honestly, the food is ehhhhhh. I probably wouldn't go here again because I had expected authentic tasting Greek food. However, this place is similar to quick takeout fast chain Greek food. To me, the meat tasted microwaved and frozen. As did the Safire rice. I would say what made it good was their red siracha type sauce! I think it's good if you want a quick Greek bowl. The workers inside were super sweet though and very attentive.

I'm no stranger to "Nick the Greek" as I've been to (and reviewed) their Vacaville, Davis, and Citrus Heights locations. Reason being is that their food, service, ambiance, and prices have always been consistent. This takes me to their "Fountains at Roseville" location. They also have a 2nd location in Roseville (at Pleasant Grove Blvd/Highland Park Dr) but I wanted to focus specifically on this one. As far as the parking situation, it can be very challenging since this spot is in an open, outdoor setting and can get quite crowded especially during weekend days.I came here during the afternoon of Sunday 6/2/2024 at around 1:45pm. Since it was a beautiful spring day, it was quite busy with many patrons dining in. However, there was no line as I was able to order immediately. The interior layout was rather spacious and inviting with ample seating throughout. I also wanted to mention that they also offered a respectable amount of outdoor seating for the more comfortable days and evenings (weather permitting). And finally, they have a self-serve fountain drink station as well as 2 public restrooms.Since I wasn't in need of a full-on meal, I opted for their Kid's Plate priced at a reasonable $8.95 + tax. I chose Beef/Lamb as my meat of choice complete with a side of Basmati rice, and spicy Tzatziki yogurt. The plate also included roughly 6 pita bread wedges. Keep in mind that the Kid's Plate did not include a fountain drink. Total time from the time I ordered my meal to when my food was ready took about 10 minutes. I also wanted to add to those Yelpers that love freebies; if you check-in on the Yelp app, you can get a FREE "Baklava" (with any purchase) which is a layered pastry dessert made of filo filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with syrup.Overall, I was very impressed with the quality of food that Nick the Greek offers as the beef/lamb was tender and flavorful while the rice was moist and the pita bread was warm. Since this is a franchise with dozens of locations in California & other states (with many more on the way), they don't show any signs of slowing down. With that said and done, I am giving the Roseville (Fountains) "Nick the Greek" a respectable and above average four stars.

This Nick the Greek location is right by the Fountain at The Fountains! It's big with lots of outdoor and indoor seating. It's hard to park here so go the the big lots on either side of the shopping center. I've been here twice and the food was great both times. I got the lamb/beef gyro/fries/soda combo both times and loved it. The sandwich is stuffed with meat and the fries are hot and plentiful. It's such a wonderful alternative to fast food for about the same price. Check it out!!

The food was mediocre and extremely expensive for what it was. The fountain soda sprayed the syrup all over me and the soda tasted gross. The Sriracha was some knockoff that tasted cheap and stale. I had previous been here when they first opened and it was actually really good then. Seems like it's gone down hill. Over 50 bucks for two people? Yeah I should've gone some where else. Service was good as they dropped the food off at the table. Music was playing which helped the food taste 1/10 rather than 0/10

I can't believe this is considered "fast food." This restaurant offers amazing quality, fresh and savory options that will satisfy anyone looking for a good meal. Portion sizes are perfect, the place is clean, and the service is exceptional... you will be greeted with a smile and warm customer service. This was a great find. Make sure you get their special yogurt dessert!

Attended an event which Nick the Greek catered. We got a choice of a falafel, chicken or gyro bowl. By the time we got the food, most of the salads in the bowls all had wilted lettuce which most of us didn't eat. I got a gyro bowl. The meat was flavorful and the portion size was decent. It definitely would have been better if the lettuce was not all wilted and served on the side instead of sitting on the hot food.

I've had Nick the Greek before but seriously the food was not good. I had to stop eating because my chicken was not cooked properly. They are also understaffed and the place is dirty and there is only one person at the cashier and the same person serves the food.

The food and service is always great here. I work in the area so it's the perfect place for a healthy, filling and quick meal!The falafel is a great option for vegetarians. Crispy on the outside and seasoned perfectly. I ordered the bowl this time - it comes with rice underneath and lettuce with feta on top. Also comes with tomatoes and onions, but I asked without. The red vine vinaigrette that comes with it is nice. I asked for the tzatziki and the spicy yogurt on the side (not shown in photo), both were delicious! Beef/lamb gyro was very flavorful. Meat is seasoned perfectly and not bland. Added feta and it was perfect. Proportions were well balanced. Good amount of meat and French fries. Not too much onion.

We went here on a Wednesday noon. We ordered chicken souvlaki . We've never had a gyro taste like this. Who puts honey mustard on a gyro ... the chicken was tasteless & squishy the five pieces of fries that were inside were oily and soggy . We both took a couple bites hoping it would get better but it didn't so we wound up throwing it away. Service was not friendly at all. Wow, never again.
