New Shanghai

One of the best Chinese food places I've been too. Everything was amazing. Mason was the front desk and also our server. Excellent interior design as well. Crab meat rangoons, Mongolian Lamb, Kung Pao Beef, Mandarin chicken, and hot sour soup. Everything was 10/10. I don't even like soup!

Stopped here on our way from Tahoe to the Bay and really enjoyed the food here! We ordered the orange chicken (the best dish), house chow mein and Mongolian beef. All the portions were much more than we expected and flavorful. The orange chicken was by far the best orange chicken I've had, unique for its crispiness. Definitely will come again!

Best halal Chinese restaurant in the area. The food was good, ambiance was cozy, and the pricing was GREAT. You can literally get 4 people worth of food through their specials (with many decent options) for just $50 bucks! Service was decent as well. Its a new restaurant so needs some kinks worked out, but overall, it was definitely a 4/5 experience for me. Would come back for sure. Giving it a 5 star for the encouragement

My dad and I recently ordered take out from this place. We had heard it was Halal but when looking at the Yelp page it seemed to have highlighted pork, so we called and asked and confirmed that they are indeed Halal and do not serve any pork. We placed an order for pick up and when we arrived the food was just getting wrapped up. The waitor offered us some hot tea to enjoy while we waited for our order. We ordered the general chicken, mongolian beef and chicken fried rice. We were a little worried when we saw the menu and the general chicken and mongolian beef had chili pepper symbols by their names but luckily they were not too spicy at all! We absolutely enjoyed our meal and the general chicken was DELICIOUS. We did not have the menu when we placed the order online but now we know about the dinner special we will definitely be ordering that moving forward. They do display a Zabiha Halal certificate incrhe restaurant for anyone who is curious, not sure if they are under new management but to clear up any confusion this place is definitely Halal friend and scrumptious!! Can't wait to share this with the rest of my family as we have been here for almost 4 years and havent found any Halal Chinese food yet.

I'm usually a bit weary to try new Chinese places but there's always cars parked here so I decided to give it a shot.I ordered the Egg Flower soup which had was full of flavor, eggs and small chopped veggies, including baby corn. Less than $10 bucks and could feed at least 4 people. I ate two bowls and still had plenty for take home. The chicken wontans, i ordered extra crispy and they came out very fast, perfectly crisp and piping hot. I wasn't sure what to try and was in between the General Chicken and Walnut Shrimp so I ordered them both and Egg Fried rice w garlic. The General Chicken had a lot of red peppers but wasn't super spicy. The Walnut Shrimp was probably the best I've ever had!!! Perfect amount of crisp and sauce. Which one of the servers (Kristen i think her name was) mentioned they make all their suaces from scratch and can serve them for other meat options. (The don't offer pork btw, but that was totally fine for me) I highly recommend the Walnut Shrimp!! The rice was the only item that was just "meh", would've been nice w more egg and a little more flavor but wasn't bad.I also ordered sweet amd sour chicken to go (even though I don't believe it was on the menu) and it came out piping hot and FRESH. The only things I'd point out if I had to point cons would be:It was freezing cold outside and not much warmer inside. I forgot my jacket and was freezing the whole time. It would've been nice to have Fresh Hot tea at the table, but they offer it complimentary in "serve yourself" coffee cannister style as much as you want.It would've also been nice to have the chili variety at the table and low sodium soy sauce, but the server was very kind to bring out chili oil, Sriracha and hot mustard packets... Mason was a new server helping me but he was very attentive and Kristen was also very helpful. I over heard her telling another table how much she loved working here and how great the owners are to them. That's always refreshing to hear. At the end of the meal they offer complimentary ice cream with cinnamon wontans crisps.This is a Family Style dining place so if you're like me and eat alone you're going to end up with lots of left overs. Thankfully I have a family of 4 at home and there's still plenty for them to share even after I stuffed my face. When I asked Kristen if they offer smaller portions she mentioned that although they don't, you can get lunch in buffet style options (i think from 11-1) in case you want less, or so you don't end up with so much leftovers when wanting to try variety. I highly recommend giving this place a try and will definitely be back with my family. This is going to be our new "Go-To" for Chinese.

Everything tasted good. There are no spice levels so I had to ask. Orange chicken and sweet and sour is more on the sweet side. Mongolian beef was spicy and really good. The place looked really nice from inside as well. Glad to finally have a halal Chinese place in Sacramento. Will definitely be coming back to try more dishes.

I have Covid and this is the second time this week I've ordered the wonton soup and I'm not disappointed!I love consistency with flavor and they are on point. They include pieces of bbq pork and a bit of greens in there.The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I love bok choy in my soup.Can't wait until I feel better to order different items from the menu!

Highly recommend, great service, food was good! We were a party of 14 and there were only 2 servers but they did such a great job! Will definitely come back!

The best Chinese food in Sacramento. Portions were super generous. Mongolian beef, General chicken, Mongolian chow mein and chicken potstickers were so flavorful. Everything is halal too!
