New Roma Bakery

Came here from out of town. Best damn pastries I have ever had! Will definitely return when in town.

Wow. Old school neighborhood bakery. Don't expect friendly service. However expect the best donuts you've ever had in your life. My favorite is the maple bar, perfection!!! All kinds of bread, donuts, cakes and more. This spot never disappoints. If you don't know about this place you're truly missing out.

Old school bakery, heavy on breads, cookies, muffins. Nothing fancy here but friendly faces behind the counter, reasonable prices and variety make it a solid stop.

New Roma bakery is one of those spots that has been around Sacramento since my childhood. It has been a while since I have stopped in for a visit and I have obviously never reviewed it before. The opportunity arose on a Saturday morning when my husband and I were downtown exploring with our dogs. We stopped into the bakery and savored all of the wonderful sites and smells. We finally settled on a maple bar and an apple fritter. The staff saw our dogs, peeking their heads out of the car window, and also threw in two plain beignets for them to nibble. Their kindness and generosity did not go unappreciated! This is just an example of a good old-fashioned classic bakery. No frills and nothing fancy but everything you order is made with love.

Old school! I love this place. Try their sourdough...it's baked 3 days a week. The bread is maybe a little denser than I usually like, but it's delicious. My kid goes to school across the street so it's a great excuse to pick up a loaf. The folks there are great too.

I've driven by this bakery for many years and decided to stop in a try a pastry. I had the raspberry danish and it was amazing. The danish was soft, flaky, and moist. The raspberry topping was sweet, but not heavy. The bakery was busy, and the two employees were moving. I look forward in trying another pastry or donut.

Really good old fashioned bakery. Right out of the 60s but really enjoyed the pastries. Ordered a batch of Cannolis that were perfect for an italian dinner

We ordered a king cake for one of my coworker's going away party, even though it was out of Mardi Gras season. The bakery was willing to make the cake for us, and it was a hit at our party. I love that they still make bread and have a family-style atmosphere inside.

Great simple bakery. I come here weekly for fresh bread and my daughter loves the donuts. Good prices and so much better than store-bought. Thanks New Roma!

Place always looks dirty inside. Pastries arent that good and attendent seems to have an attitude
