Traditional Cantonese restaurant . That have good won ton noodle soup with beef brisket . Rich flavor . They roasted duck and Hoi Nam chicken are very popular as sit in or to go . Dinner has different dishes . One of my favorite is steam shrimps in minced garlic and ginger over ckear cellophane noodles ( fun see in Chinese ) . Also love their cream corn soup with diced chicken . A larger portion than near by restaurants and is very delicious . The only draw back is that they have different chefs : the main chef and the assistant chef . They cooking style is very different and you may call to find out which day the main chef is off and avoid going in those evening . Enjoy and have fun to try many items on the menu !

I heard mixed reviews about Hong Kong Wok and decided to give it a try anyhow, especially since I've eaten here years ago before becoming a Yelper. It seems to be a popular local spot for the community, especially for large groups. We stopped by for lunch, in hopes of finding a new go-to lunch spot.We were greeted and seated right away since it wasn't busy. The menu offered a lot of options, but I noticed the price range was a bit higher compared to similar restaurants nearby. For example, we ordered the Spare Ribs with Honey Peppered Sauce for $18.99. We didn't mind paying the price but naturally had higher expectations because of it.As we waited for our food, I noticed that other tables had tea, but we weren't offered any. It wasn't clear if tea was complimentary or if it had to be ordered, which felt a bit inconsistent. I didn't realize until after we left that I wasn't offered water. We ordered the BBQ Pan Fried Noodles (you can have it served soft or crunchy noodles), which was flavorful but on the greasy side, and the dish had more bean sprouts than I could eat. I also ordered the BBQ Pork and Roasted Duck over Rice to go, but it ended up being served to our table instead, not a big issue since I could easily box it up myself. However, the roasted duck portion was skimpy, while the BBQ pork portion was just right. The Spare Ribs with Honey Peppered Sauce, unfortunately, was disappointing. The dish had more fat and bone than actual meat, making it feel underwhelming given the price.Overall, the food was okay but didn't quite justify the higher price tag.

Freeport is home to a variety of delicious restaurants, both established and new, but one of my longtime favorites is New Hong Kong Wok. Although parking can be a bit challenging, the dining experience easily makes up for this inconvenience. My family has been frequenting this restaurant for years, and I can honestly say I've never had a dish I didn't enjoy. The staff are always friendly and accommodating, especially when I'm in the mood to try something outside my usual order. Some of my personal favorites include their lemon tea, hainan chicken and rice, roast duck wonton noodle soup, salt and pepper wings, and duck tongue/chin. I've yet to be disappointed by anything on the menu. My only complaint is the parking, which can become congested when the restaurant is full. To avoid the crowds, I recommend visiting early or during off-peak hours for a quieter dining experience. On my most recent visit, I ordered a whole roast duck, and it was absolutely delicious.

It looks like I last wrote a review for this place 9 years ago and things have changed when I returned! I am not sure if they went through new ownership/management but the interior seems different - almost bigger? There's a curtain that may separate two sides of the inside.I came here for dinner on a weekday, we arrived pretty early so there wasn't a dinner crowd at that time. We ordered a handful of dishes including duckbill, pea sprouts, a fish dish (that was listed as a special in Chinese) and deep fried egg salted mushrooms. As for the food, I felt the pea sprouts were a little undercooked so they weren't that good. They were okay but I think they would taste better if cooked longer. The fish dish did not taste fresh, almost too fishy. I thought the duck beak dish was pretty good, a little on the salty end but the herbs and sauces on it comes together really well. The deep fried egg salted mushroom dish was pretty good. We got everything with rice. I thought the food was okay but one thing I really like about this place is their dishes is more unique than the typical food you may eat some place else. I suppose you can argue it gives a sense of authenticity. I probably would return with my family if we wanted to be adventurous and eat something besides the typical chinese dishes.

Came here with some friends for some post-work Chinese food and trauma dumping. We each ordered one dish and shared family style. The kung pao chicken had good variety of ingredients and chicken was well flavored. The eggplant noodle was simple but the noodles were more flavorful than the colors/picture suggest -- although would be nice if more eggplant and other ingredients were added to make each mouthful more than just noodles. The seafood tofu hot plate was pictured but not listed (at least not that I could find) in the menu and I think was my favorite dish of the three: tofu has good texture, well seasoned, and diversity in each bite. For 3 very full bellies at dinner time, it was $20 each person (so good pricing) and they also gave us grass jelly desserts for free!

We ordered the egg gravy shrimp horfun noodle. They gave generous shrimp but we like the next door Jade version better. The empress chicken with the green sauce was good but the yellow rice was bland and no ginger tasted like the Singaporean that I was looking for. Their HK milk tea is one of the best in the world. The HK lemon tea was just ok but it helps to heal my throat.I would love to try their salted egg yolk mushrooms next time. Thai style fried rice sticks noodles. Crab yee mien noodle. Roast duck with extra sauce next time.

Such a disappointment. Food was terrible. Chow mein , fried rice, Chinese broccoli , kung pao chicken. Nothing was good. Also ordered duck and chow fun from door dash. The duck and chow fun was cancelled with the no notice. I don't know if that's a door dash problem or a restaurant problem but if I knew the duck and chow fun weren't going to show up I would have cancelledThe whole order.

We ordered multiple dishes. For nearly 20 dollars a plate, they barely give you any food. Service was extremely bad(if food was good, this can be forgiven, but the food was not good). Food was extremely salty. The place was pretty dirty. You can find better Chinese food and cleaner facilities in the city.

So many great dishes to try and such great portions! A friend recommended this restaurant and it has been a great spot for reasonably priced Chinese food. It's a great casual place for friends. Favorites: Wonton soup 10/10 Salted fish and chicken 8/10
